I released a video yesterday with the same title, but that was mistakenly an OOTP 22 video about settings. That's fixed here. Thanks to those of you who pointed it out!
Good stuff. Digging the game a lot this year. Not sure exactly what changed, but the updated sim engine makes individual games feel more realistic and less outrageous than it did previously- feels closer to what I see in Action PC Baseball and Diamond Mind. Might be placebo, but I'm loving it.
Hey I just wanna say thank you for all the time and effort you have put into these videos. I would be completely lost without the help of all your tutorials
Hope you'll go with the A's!! Be a tough rebuild with little budget but at least you will have center field sorted already with Pache... maybe a relocation to Las Vegas
I tried generating a lot of amateur int'l FAs and it made getting 5 star potential kids way to easy. And for some reason, it made there be a very disproportionate number of kids with high work ethic (seemed like at least 75% every year).
Also, have you messed around with the new injury settings at all? Currently running with High short term injury and normal long term, but I haven't made it super far into my season to really gage its effects yet.
I remember there was a way where you could disable negotiating with draft picks so if you drafted them you got them. do you know where that option is? Thanks love the vids
I've been trying to find your previous videos about setting up various views, like customizing what stats you see and such. Specifically I'm looking to customize what appears on the player profile page. Any insight on which video that is, would be greatly appreciated! Keep up the great content!
I do like having live ball/dead ball eras. So allowing dynamic adjustment of pitching and offense makes sense to me. I allow expansion and nickname changes. But not relocation. I turn off the Extra Innings change. That's despicable..lol But I'll allow ties in ST. I've tried to set up a full pro-rel league. But I couldn't set the finances the way I wanted. I may try that again. (Yeah, I know, one in quick start. But I don't like that set up.)
If you click on the guy's profile, it'll tell you if he's not interested. Or if you have an open position, you can view all interested dudes, including dudes working for others teams.
I like to very tightly control incoming players, particularly established free agents; I generally turn those completely off. I enjoy enabling all the existing foreign and independent leagues and doing the scouting myself. I've found a few gems that way; there was the rather famous Daniel Enrique Perez discovery in the Spanish League in OOTP 21.
