And in odyssey there is proof that they are in the same universe with aiden Pearce because there is a side mission in watch dogs where you knock out oliver (owner of abstergo) and then after the mission is complete we cut to a later time, in odyssey it shows how oliver was killed in Chicago on May 2014 (release date of watch dogs) and it shows a picture of aiden shooting oliver in the back of the head.. they are officially connected

There are some of the lost letters in Far Cry 3 that mention Templar activity, I don't think he mentioned that. Also, Far Cry 4 gives you many things that seem Assassin's Creedish 1. All of the hallucination scenes with Yuma seem similar to what Arno went through in his initiation. 2. The Thangka Paintings allowing you to relive the journey of Kalinag in Shangri-La (Pieces of Eden?) 3. Pagan Min kind of strikes me as a Templar who stopped caring about the order. Yuma on the other hand is obsessed with finding all of these artifacts up in the mountains, like the Relic from Valley of the Yetis, meaning that she's a lot more.... Pro-Templar. (Does she remind you of Lucy Thorne from Syndicate, or is that just me?) 4. Speaking of Yuma, she seems a bit obsessed with the whole concept of Kalinag being reborn. Might that have something to do with the Sages?

@@anthony2be559 In AC odyssey Layla finds the splinter cell goggles and wonders if they’re from the 3rd or 4th echelon which is the two organizations Sam Fisher was in. She’s an assassins creed character with prior knowledge of the splinter cell events so they’re probably in the same universe.

Dedsec is not the modern day assassin brotherhood, the modern day assassins are the initiates it was clearly stated in AC Unity and AC syndicate. The Dedsec may only be an autonomous hacker group

Hey MatPat, I highly doubt you'll see this comment and even if you do you probably won't care, but I love GTA 5 and I love this show called Burn Notice. In GTA 5 one of the main protagonists names is Micheal De Santa and in Burn Notice the main characters name is Micheal Westen. I have looked into these to characters and found many similarity's. You probably don't want to waste your time digging up information for this, but it would be cool, and very unlikely, to do an episode on this. Matteo, in the modern day sections of Origins, the newest game, they have a lot of data files that you can search through on a laptop. Included in those data files is a picture of Aiden (from Watchdogs) shooting Olivier (from AC4) which basically confirms that Watchdogs takes place in the modern day Assassin's Creed universe. Though the stuff about Splinter Cell and other Tom Clancy titles I doubt will be included since they are all in a world of their own and that is the one Tom Clancy made up.

Davis It was okay. But the Abstergo parts in Rogue are way better. You're boss is the abstergo employee you are playing as in the online part of Brotherhood-AC3. Then spoilers. At the end you become a Templar.

FinalSnowDuck all Ubisoft games have references to each other. The Tom Clancy games have no connection to the Assassins creed/ Watch dog universe. It's not even known if Far cry shares the universe though it's highly likely seeing you can find an abstergo lab in far cry 3

I know this happened years after this video, but For Honour put in a Templar pack and an Assassin pack. The event even tells a story of someone (probably Desmond) entering the Animus and it creates a malfunction, sending him to the world of For Honour. Also, adding Rayman and the Raving Rabbids happened in Assassin's Creed Odyssey. Layla Hassan exits the Animus and you explore, you enter the closet/storage room and you find a Rabbid figurine (Fun fact: She says "Bwahh?" when you activate the figurine) Edit: Changed from "Main character" to Layla Hassan

To answer Rayman. In Watch_Dogs, The Gang hideout known as Rossi Freemont, contains an arcade game of Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon which was developed by Ubisoft in their own universe like how AC was created by Abstergo in said universe. Rayman and the Rabbids that also appears in W_D, are considered just games like Blood Dragon. FYI, the Rabbids are hackable minature Animatronics.

WeeklyClips141 what you said reminds me of a triangle of easter eggs betwen PoP trilogy, Splinter Cell Chaos theory (iirc) and rayman: In PoP WW after you kill the empress, you are chased by Dahaka a few times, in a row. During one of the chases you can find a rack of weapons that will drop you a 4 fingered white glove that resembles Rayman's hand. On top of that In Chaos theory, during the mission in the skyscraper with lots of computers on desk you can hear 2 guard mentioning PoP the two thrones as a game, and saying that one of them has heard that is awsome. Also in Rayman legends there are some levels where you are attacked by toads wearing splinter cell outfits.

Rex Power Colt and the rest of his gang are remnants of the Assassins turned into a military force post armageddon. The remnants of world governments under the control of the Templars are the enemy. The tri star death laser shooting thing (whose name escapes me now) is a Piece of Eden...or so it seems... But what about all of the things that don't add up? Like the dinosaurs or the 80s tech? I propose that Blood Dragon is, in its entirety, a glitch within an Animus framework, like a more sophisticated and nuanced version of Clay's memories in the Assassin's Creed Revelations dlc. It is a seamless blend of many different time periods due to imperfections within the software. That would also explain the digitalized manner in which the game is presented. But even beyond this, it could also be a symptom of the bleeding effect from a first person perspective.

Kanzu Actually its not a hard theory to answer at all. There is pretty strong evidence that the Tenno actually spawned from something in Digital extreme's earlier title Dark Sector. In other words, the warframes are basically a form of digital virus that can act as a type of body armor and the Tenno are people who were intentionally trained and made through exposure to the voide to use that virus by being compatible with it.

Kanzu To be more precise the virus bestows the exposed to powers of uncontrollable levels. These "Warframe" are used to construct this power in the abilities of each frame. The Warframe universe resides in a different but quite parallel universe to Dark Sector, as the Technocyte virus begins on earth in the predecessor and is made by the Orokin in Warframe. So essentially the Tenno are a race of possible humans/orokins change by the void and suited with armor to help guide these powers in order to combat the Sentients who seem to be creeping into view very soon . . .

Quite a few commercially successful games were made with it, including Hearthstone, Pillars of Eternity and Ori and the Blind Forest. Ubisoft is even listed as one of Unity's costumers, so the idea of them making a game with it isn't too far off ;)

Valar Morghulis Valar Dohaeris Well, I think the biggest problem is the term "not buggy ANYMORE". Quiet a few people considered AC Unity to be a rather mediocre game to begin with and the fact, that it apparently took them almost a year after release to fix it, probably won't improve those people's opinion of the game. If you encountered no problems and enjoyed the game that's fine, but that doesn't apply to everyone. Also since not every person in the world likes the same things, questions like "Why don't people like the stuff I like?" are usually not the best idea.

V's unit stacking and cities-attack-and-have-more-health-and-regeneration-than-any-unit-even-when-ungarrisoned mechanics make warfare too much of a chore for my taste, and some of the game mechanics...I'm not sure, something feels off about them. I see how the Watch_Dogs and Assassin's Creed perception powers are similar. One can argue that they're the same powers but utilized differently. Both powers are information processing powers just used in different ways, like Mat said. In WD Aiden uses his increased processing to speed up normal information perception while AC's assassins use the increased processing to amplify the amount of information they receive in their surroundings in real time and the same can be said for the protagonists in Far Cry. These powers are the same, just used in different ways.

Been playing Watch_Dogs recently, and this is pretty spot-on. Not only what he's said in the video, but also Blume's goals with ctOS. Think about it: a city-wide monitoring system that allows any who control it to, effectively, control the lives of everyone in the city through subliminal messaging and blackmail. Sounds a lot like shooting an ancient artifact into space and using it's weird techno-magic to control the world; doesn't it? Blume could possibly be another Templar agency or part of a group very similar to the Templars.

No no, Mat, you completely missed something in your excitement. Ubisoft games with the Tom Clancy logo have their own universe. They are in no way related to Ubisoft's personal franchises. There's always a corporation you face in Tom Clancy games so... The Watch Dogs, Far Cry and Assassins Creed links make sense, yes. However, adding Tom Clancy games doesn't. Its like you're trying to mix and match different universes when only talking about one. Sure, Ubisoft probably has a giant plan in mind where all the games connect around Assassins, but Tom Clancy games do not count.

L Ryuuzaki They're all on PC too. Just upgrade your PC if you don't already have a gaming PC. You could pretty much get Assassin's Creed 1-4 including the 3 ezio games and liberation hd for like $30-40 total during a steam summer sale. Rogue will probably be cheap within the next year or 2 too.

I reckon that the assassin's creed series, far cry series and the watch dogs series all exist in the same universe but games such as the division, rainbow six siege, ghost recon and so on are all abstergos games. Some of the games just don't connect and I recon that abstergo put in the assassin's skin pack on GR and R6S just for a bonus. I'm still a bit unsure about far cry but I am 70% sure it does exist in the same universe as WD and AC.

Is it just me or did I already know Watch Dogs is essentially Assassin's Creed since you know the game show references to Abstergo in alot of places....weirdly enough I've never gotten into Assassin's Creed and even I can clearly see the line between the two.

it was obvious that there were references to Abstergo. but many just blew them off as it y easter eggs. besides Mat's main "mind blowing moment" was supposed to be connecting far cry. he just had to get the connections between AC and Watch_Dogs out of the way first for newbies

Another character in the Ubisoft Games Universe is the main character of Ghost Recon: Wilderness is Nomad. His ability of scanning is alike the ones in the already “confirmed” cast of characters and by knowing this, we can also connect the cast of Rainbow Six: Siege into the Connected Ubisoft theory. In a side mission “Archangel”, Nomad meets up with two of the operators from Team Rainbow, Twitch and Caveria, then meeting Valkyrie after the mission is completed. And if the connection from Nomad to the “Confirmed” Ubisoft Cast isn’t strong enough, in another of Ghost Recon’s side mission you encounter Little Brother from the Splinter Cell universe and help him out with a mission. (Also just because, Ghost Recon has a side mission of fighting the Predator. Which connects the Ubisoft universe to the Alien and Predator universes.)

"wanted by the brotherhood" doesnt mean dead. i think in a later AC game the chick that replaces Olivier implies that the templar killed him so maybe Aiden is secretly a templar and was stopping the assassins from getting a hold on him by killing him lol.....maybe the assassins wanted him alive.

Nick Lemke There's always Film Theory, they do TV shows as well as movies. But the problem with Adventure time is that the lore is pretty well already known.
