I cannot stand fondant. I ordered my cake with Icing specifically and, when it was delivered, it was fondant. I actually had her take it back with her, never paid for it and went without a cake. Yuck! It as beautiful, the flowers were excellent, but I didn't want fondant for the covering or decorations. Such a waste of time for her. If only she had read the order! My FIL actually drove to Costco and bought two large cakes from there...he told the decorator what happened, and she put tons of extra white roses on the cakes for free. Bless them.

I totally agree. Fondant does suck. I was an 80-90’s cake baker and hated fondant the first time I tried it. It is inedible no matter what they say. Sweet chewy play-doh.
Is this the full video? I assume you have to cure it somehow before demolding? Refrigerate or let it sit in freezer for a few? I need details LOL. I love this!!! So beginner friendly.

From what I heard in the video she used American and swiss buttercream. So I believe you can use any buttercream but if you want to be safe and follow her then use American or Swiss buttercream! ❤
