I think the pickled garlic is liked by a lot of people because it’s a normal dish in many Asian countries. Like I’m Indian and I’ve tasted food like this already so it seemed good to me. When I first came to America I couldn’t enjoy foods like cheeseburgers or yogurt because it tasted very different from my home food but as my taste adapted more towards these new flavors I started to really like it 😅
I don't know the garlic sounds strangely appealing, especially if you roast it in the oven. Might have to try this. :D Watermelon mustard though, disgusting. Says the person who likes watermelon with chilisauce.
I love their relationship it’s so pure. “I’ve been with you for ten years. Have you said mandareen this entire time and I didn’t notice?!” Sir you are too good for us
If I’m being honest, I watch your videos not because I care about these TikTok trends or whether you can do all these silly challenges, but because I really like your personality and the dynamic you and Kevin have 😊💕
@Felicity Moon I'm beginner too, I've been earning through investing with expert Adam it has been a huge success, in two weeks i made $15,000 with $1,000
‘Everyone on the internet has tried it, you don’t want to be the only one who hasn’t tried it’ I was warned of this moment as a kid but they said it would be over drugs not mustard on watermelon!!!
Literally everytime!!! Doesn't drink all day, then when he thinks we're going somewhere tanks up! He'll empty his doggy water bottle before we leave the driveway lol!
Me and my siblings have been freezing mandarins for a couple years, but we peel them first and separate them, and eat them right from the freezer. They're a bit more like sorbet that way I feel
So I like spicy stuff and I actually tried the garlic siratcha thing (I don't have tiktok so I didn't post it anywhere, I just tried it in private at 3am in my kitchen lol) and it's actually pretty good. I had the whole thing at 3, and the next day I actually tried roasting it with bread and basically made spicy garlic bread lol don't ask I'm not a professional I'm just a bored human being and it was actually really good :)
I don’t think the garlic & sriracha one is a troll, I think it just depends on your taste! I LOVE garlic, I’ll literally eat it raw and will eat pickled garlic out the jar so that sounds right up my alley 🤩
When she did the cotton candy one, it's one of the few time I know ahead of time it won't work 😂 In a bakery i used to work in we did our own powder sugar by blending regular sugar. So I knew it would just become powedery
I feel like generations of people who have eaten raw cake batter or cookie dough are inclined to argue that the risk is rather low. I know it's just anecdotal evidence but I've never in my life heard of anyone getting sick off of eating raw flour.
That's true for raw flour but lots of cake mixes and cookie doughs are now pasteurized and are safe to consume uncooked. It should say it on the package.
Laurie trying to decorate that oreo cake just highlights how the right consistency is SO IMPORTANT!! skill is only half the battle. People tell me all the time how they can never ice a cake... with their tub icing on a warm cake 🫠
Kinda like how you separate eggs and then process whites and yolks in different ways and put them back together in a recipe. So separating matters there. With oreos I've separated them to add to different places in the cake (base and filling) but at the end threw the filling out. It's just tasteless sweet calories.
@@---____---- yep, was gonna say the same thing. Good idea but it was used by someone already and while it's okay to reuse, give credit to the original person. Also, I think it's more of a beginner baker thing to do since you want a honest review and Laurie is a pretty talented baker but great idea.
@@user12231 to be fair, it’s not that unique of an idea. It’s a good idea for sure, but it’s not so unique that multiple people couldn’t have thought of it. You can’t credit someone else if you aren’t aware that they’ve had the same idea as you.
Him: I always look like a bum when I come on camera Her: but you always look like a bum Nobody: Literally nobody: Me laughing my head off because I have her humor
Not judging or anything but just curious why don’t you have an intro? You don’t even explain what you’re doing you just start with the first thing. Again I’m not judging just wondering :)
"Oh you WILL BE partaking in this video or you're not gonna get any of the oreo cake that's coming up soon!" **silence** I'm hungry now and everything, but dude, you sounded *threateninggg!*
Literally me eating watermelon while watching this and it gets to the watermelon part.. 😳 now I just had to try the cinnamon and mustard with you guys and I can tell you I’m gonna finish my watermelon without any additives 😜😂
It is actually not safe to eat cake mix raw as it has unbaked flour in it, they don't recommend it and actually advise not to eat without baking or bake the cake mix as you do with flour for cookie dough.
@The Guinea Pigs Say So! The eggs do play a part in that but it’s mainly the flour that will harm you but in a small amount it won’t do anything it’s fine
‘Everyone on the internet has tried it, you don’t want to be the only one who hasn’t tried it’ I was warned of this moment as a kid but they said it would be over drugs not mustard on watermelon!!!
Cap is so confusing to me because in French children have a “cap ou pas cap” game, cap meaning capable (capable or not capable, kind of like a dare). So I feel like cap in English should mean true when it’s the opposite and my brain can’t compute.
I prefer the cake batter dunkaroo dip over a can of frosting because it isn't as overpoweringly sweet, and I love eating raw cake batter. For the mandarins, I think they need to be half frozen still. I accidentally half froze a watermelon quarter one time, and it was a lot like sorbet.
Me sitting here in Australia watching their argument about how you say “Mandarine”….. Me:”No she’s right, it’s ‘Madareen”- Madarin is the language, no?”🧐🤷♀️👍🏻
Try watermelon with a light sprinkle of balsamic vinegar on it. It is really good with the light tangy bite and sweet. Yummo! Love watching you do your decorating wish you’d been around when my daughter was small and I made so so many bday disaster cakes 😂
Hi Laurie, as always this was a greatr and funny video to watch ☺well about the watermelon thing.. in Greece we eat watermelon with feta cheese in the summertime a lot!! It tastes pretty good 😄 if you try it some time, please let me know if you liked it ☺
I really need to try the oreo one!! It looks so good! I love your videos, they're always so fun and make my day! ❤ Also, I just graduated grade 8, and made this cake that was a grad cap, but only used cake and icing. It was... an adventure. But it turned out OK and tasted great! 👩🎓
You guys are so funny and I absolutely love how much fun y'all have together...while making these videos! Please do more of the rating cakes from 1 vs. 5 star bakeries AND more turning a grocery store cake into a beautiful cake...videos!! Those are my favorites! Oh AND testing products too, please. 🥰
the cookie turned into cake is the best hack ever, i love doing the mug cake one, is so perfect when you need to eat cake for no reason at all. i love it.
I was raised eating salt on watermelon. I've heard some people eat sugar on it. I will eat watermelon plain if it's sweet. If it's not all that sweet then I add salt to it. I don't like mustard unless it's mixed into something like potato salad. I like cinnamon but I'm not sure how I'd feel about it on watermelon. I feel like it wouldn't be good or bad.
I ADORE their energy. *Laurie:* [genuine question, overthinking - literal ray of sunshine] *Kevin:* [sarcastic, smartass comment - funny and a bit grumpy] Literally reminds me of my favorite ships from series and their humor and dynamic, love it so much.
Funny how I didn’t noticed anything wrong with you saying mandareen since in Argentina they’re called mandarinas so my brain just said sounds right yeah. Love your videos and your energy! Thank you for being so positive ✨
Yes, please do more Tik Tok videos like this one. The two of you are very entertaining and uplifting. Why not seriously consider doing at least one a week. It would be so much nicer for us to see you more often.
U are the best baker I've ever i always hated watching baking video when the baker talks but i never get bred watching ur videos and btw ur hair looks gorgeous
I love pickled garlic (I was literally just eating a salad with pickled garlic in it, when I watched this), but I'm wondering if that sriracha hack requires a specific kind of pickle, maybe a sweeter one? I'd imagine that would be something a garlic lover like me would enjoy. But could you make cotton candy by pouring melted sugar in a blender? Or would that just harden immediately and break the blender?
Oh I love that! I like leopards because they're agile and good a camouflage, and can climb trees! Also because my friend and I created these made up animals that are basically leopards with wings and magical abilities lol. 🐆
@@monicalortz3315 Thanks! I love Keeper! Keefe is my favourite character, but I look extremely similar to Marella so she's my profile pic. If I get an opportunity to audition for the movie (I'm an actor) I would love to play her!
The other day I used the last of my sliced Mazzetta jalapenos, so I stuck all of my regular pickles into the jalapeno brine and put the jar back in the fridge. That's as adventurous as I get, apparently. They are really good though. 🤷♀️ Soaked up all the jalapeno-ness and turned into spicy pickles.
You should do another 1 star v.s 5 star making your avocado cake since it's such a interesting flavorit'll be really hard to recreate and I would really love to see that
My brother makes picked garlic. You’re not supposed to eat it as a snack, you’re supposed to dehydrate it, crush it up, and use it as seasoning on food (I think)
