I had T-Mobile home internet for a month and a half… I got tired of playing red light-green light with the service while on my gaming pc or ps5 Xfinity blows this out the water!!!
This is what i wanted to know the most. Yea its cool when it works for an hour, but after an hour, does it still work? Ill game for like 4 hours straight and never get any issues with my interent. I have a home internet but was thinking about saving some money by just using my phone as a home router. However, it looks like i wont take my chances. Id hate to be mid match and get booted just because of random issues.
I have a question what type of plan did you do with xfinity. Plsss I need a response because I current am dealing with connection issues and internet speeds with T-Mobile 5G home internet
I just moved, and dealing with my internet provider this time around was a hassle!!! Took them a week to come out and work on getting my service up and running. This made me really think about switching to another service and this is very VERY intriguing! I might make the switch. Especially at just $50
@@scrotiemcboogerballs4159 I just got it today and have 600 download and 100 upload with like 20 ms ping its not too bad compared to spectrum at such a low price.
@@scrotiemcboogerballs4159 just because you’ve had a bad experience . Been with the team mobile home internet since it came out. Runs well enough to have 2 Xboxes running on it at the same time a 4k tv , and 4 phones. Idk it really depends on where you live at tbh .
I’ve been testing T-mobile 5G and we have 12 electronics connected so far it’s been 90% okay and the only reason I say that is because when my kiddos play Roblox on their iPads and are connected to the T5g it will kick them out after a few minutes. Now if they use the hotspot on their T-Mobile mobile, Roblox won’t kick them out. Strange huh I’m not happy about that and so I’m trying to figure how to fix the issue. If I can’t I’ll have to look for another internet option.
@@FOPEZ Depending on the VPN method, the NAT type will either remain the same as without, or in the case that the VPN has a stricter NAT type then that would apply. In this case, it's more or less a "most secure rules apply" case. You'd want to focus on your own network first, then look into other VPN selections if you're still having trouble. The only other case would be if the VPN method is advanced such as with NordVPN etc, in that case you're looking at whatever rules the VPN has being in affect, which is usually set to open.
I have this, works fine for my PS4, Xbox, and Switch. Online games work just fine. The only thing I find that doesn't play smooth for me is cloud gaming. I can't really play Stadia off of this and Xbox cloud gaming is really choppy if playable at all. Once again, installed games that use the internet works perfectly, it's just cloud gaming that I can't seem to play.
@@breyayoung5503 I believe like psnow where you pay a subscription and just have access to go stream games, you just load it up and play without purchasing.
I play games on Google Stadia, which is basically a cloud stream console that you can play on any device. It worked perfectly when I was with Cox cable. But now I struggle to play with this T Mobile 5G box. Hopefully it will get better in time.
I used to play OG Gears of War with 512kbps bandwidth and 300+ ms ping. I enjoyed every bit of those Horde matches because of the people I played with, good times.
Quick question G, I just got T-Mobile home internet and I want to buy a PS5 or Series X. Is T-Mobile home internet compatible with remote gaming. I keep hearing conflicting stories.
Same here. Can only play past midnight but there are no internet providers in my neighborhood so I didn’t have a choice. Been like this for a year and i hate this shit lol
Tmobile home internet will vary greatly. I get 1 Mbps and frequent disconnects where I live. There is NO guaranteed data speed as you are not getting priority data.
@@asianstud7 I had to cancel it and went back to Xfinity. It worked good most of the time but we noticed it couldn't handle several devices at one time.
@@vincentlemelle22 you can still game decently well on it even with a moderate or strict Nat type , stleast for me I live close to a tower so it works pretty good s lil choppy every once in awhile but no major issues and the lag I receive always buffers it’s self out . Still manage to have fun and enjoy some good old warzone .😅
I'm kind of surprised that people can play on this with a strict Nat type. I did this on their hotspot and it did not work great. It's great for downloading games but as far as playing online games the pink times are pretty high. The service could use improvements for port forwarding and more stable performance and reliability for sure so performance would come down to very good downloads and uploads and reliability would come down to an extremely low paying time because playing an online game increases it to over 100 million seconds which is definitely too high
Update Now have Verizon Home Internet LTE Only but it works great at a cell signal of 77 decibels it took a month to get that sweet spot in my home 😂. Open NAT and not many issues. Only problem now when I'm playing on my Xbox series X is now GTA ONLINE is always a full 30 player's 😂. I'm surprised at how well it performs and how well the reliability is at one mile from the cell site. I do have line of site but it's so much better then T-MOBILE'S Trash Can.
Thank for showing the game speed. My son was concerned about that. Every video I’ve seen about talk about speed numbers and not actually show them using the net.
This is so cap. I have the same thing, my connection is setup not even over a block away from the store where it is God tier for them and I am dealing with nothing but lag and I only have 2 devices on it. The box even shows full bars.
I have been using T-Mobile and Verizon home internet back and forth, Verizon has been the winner so far for me over the past 3 months. Verizon allows you more access to router settings, more stable, better uploads at all times for me. Also have starlink (mainly for my camper) but starlink has been better than T-Mobile for me too when I use it
T mobile internet been pissing me off with gaming for the past month every time I try to play call of duty it’s nothing but lag every second and every time I check the service it says it fine idk if it’s just me but this honestly is annoying all I want is to play the damn game without lag
What was your previous mbps with your previous service before? Have u dealt with a fall back on speed with the T-Mobile home wifi service? I’m debating, right now I have Comcast with a 1200 mbps/35mbps. I don’t want to lose speed bc I have any users.
It won't come close to that man. It's cheaper but cable internet is just better for battle royal games. Sometimes I have seen it works great and after the trail the internet takes a dump on the users sadly
@@ed2176 they are called Xfinity now. They're a multi billion dollar company now. They have a high building just built in center city Philadelphia as well next to our train station
can’t rlly tell but what ping do you get with this running fortnite? if it’s good with fortnite then ik for sure it’s gonna be the same or maybe better in other games i play that’s smaller game then fortnite
How about now , do you still have this service and is it working well for gaming? we are thinking of getting this service because our current provider goes out several time a day and it drives us absolutely crazy!!
This internet constantly kicks me from Destiny. I was hoping this had some sort of fix. Plus, it keeps switching from Open, to Moderate. This sucks for gaming
I just got this and I'm trying the 15-day free thing. Was playing destiny 2 and kept getting kicked with error code due to network issue. I also Tried Sea of thieves with ethernet cable going to my PC and was getting kicked on it as well. Im going to look for a fix during this 15 day test period. will update if i find something. I get 250ish mps download and 40ish upload.
i have moderate nat on uverse 18 mbps hard wired to my xbox, but after a few test it opens. I'm hoping it does the same on Tmobile internet. Im doing the 15 day test drive before i get rid of uverse, fingers crossed.
Same here Im doing the 15 day trial test drive to see if there internet works better than Comcast I game alot so im hoping it works great.i will be getting my modem from T-Mobile on Friday so wish me luck 🤞😄
OK so I got one of those last week I have it connected on the other side of my house and it’s hard wired to the ps5. I got it to download modern warfare two but for some reason playing the initial game it doesn’t let me. It keeps saying retry. Do you have any useful hints.
I think the biggest misconception that people have is that the measurement of speed is not actually megabytes per second it's megabits per second... That means every measurement essentially that you do you have to divided by 8 unless it literally says that it's megabytes per second. But the measurement Mbps is megabits per second
Honestly I wanted to get this for myself and my brother since the internet where I live currently is currnetly holding 7 people and its total hell. But I think this will be great!
On a really good day i get 40-100 ping, but not one day it hasnt went up to 500-1,100 ping. And on a stormy/rainy day for as long as it storms all 900-1,100 ping.😭😭 all together Tmoble is yhe worst internet in the world, in my option. The bad thing is i'm a good gamer
If you have a T-Mobile mobile line, you can get a pretty good discount for home Internet. With 1 new line and home Internet knocks it down to 30$ a month.
I won't recommend it to anybody until we're able to port forward and have a open nat. If you're going to make me switch from my normal home ISP to a T-Mobile service that download and upload better be fast and reliable and that thing has to be low because on most mobile hotspots you're looking at over 100 milliseconds on 4G LTE so I'm not exactly for sure how well 5G would hold up but it is wireless and you're having a hit so many sites to get to your gaming server and back so depending on how the 5G networks are going to be set up is going to determine a lot but definitely port forwarding and whatnot definitely needs to be an option
I'm not sure how to describe this. The internet is good for downloading speeds but for some reason, when I play a call of duty match, it stutters a lot. Why is this happening?
This is the least useful video of like 15 I've watched so far on this service, no ping displays, no packet loss display. I'm convinced he doesn't actually know what lag means to a gamer. I can feel when I'm lagging, and I have to look to see when it goes away on the ping indicator. It will still look fine for a spectator in most cases. Also odd how often he brought up graphical looks and gameplay smoothness, he even loaded screenshots. I mean, no one is getting any info from this.
I had the 5g internet from T-Mobile 6 months ago, I was getting Nat type 3 which is a strict on my PS4 and PC idk how he got nat 2 I'm glad they fixed that, speeds around 300/400 down 60 up. When playing fortnite at night time I got ping around 70ms little to no packet loss, during the day ping around 85ms and I would have a constant yellow X and sometimes the red x with lots of packet loss so laggy during the day would not recommend for serious gaming
I ditched HoaXFINITY for tmobile internet. Its insanely faster and we have NO problem gaming and streaming movies at the same time. 2 or 3 on fortnite at the same time while 2 other devices watch movies in 4k. Im in love with it.
Yes Im trying to ditch Comcast also they keep raising my bill an I been experiencing lagging a lot so I just signed up with T-Mobile today an will be receiving it on Friday hope it works great for Fortnite, modern warfare, dead by daylight an gta5
@@Vicious_BeautyYT can confirm it works wonderful on any game besides Fortnite in my opinion . When I load Fortnite and play my ping jumps up and it’s laggy , every other game works very well even the new cod so that’s a plus . Don’t have issues with any game besides Fortnite . Oh well Fortnite’s not really my thing anymore 😂. But hope it works well for you. Best of luck
This thing sucks i rather pay the 200 in atnt internet im returning mines tomorrow after only one day with it it has no connection strength verry un reliable
@@victorugo2654 bro we got the T-Mobile home internet yesterday I hooked my ps5 no problem at all, but when I try to hook up my series x it says no connection? Any suggestions
Im paying like 85 dollars a month and i get an allowance off 150GB Of data after I use up my premium data my internet slows down untill the next billing cycle. It's not unlimited its trash im getting optimum again. Its just another hotspot thats tethered to your home address. At least with a regular hotspot i can take it everywhere. It shouldn't be called home internet.
I have this internet, I’m in west sac n I have to say this is coo internet for Yk nothing crazy, like just phones n tvs n small devices, but every time I try to play my ps5 I lag really bad, I’m all games cod,2k fifa you name it. I’m in the process of getting a new internet provider but that just my experience w it.
I get barely 1mb speed where im at in the country with my current internet. Copper wire dsl. Barely can play a game online with no other devices connected. Im hoping this will at least beat that
I don’t think you understand how games work. They will run well without an internet connection that has nothing to do with how it runs. Not what happens when you have T-Mobile the other players will lag or jump around making them harder to hit and you well never win a match.
I have Tmobile home internet a 5g 1tb ps4 and the speeds are really low, connected with wifi and now ethernet cable, no help. Getting 20-30 mps. 150-200 on all other devices with Wi-Fi, not sure how to fix, any help please.
You didn't show your setup or settings you had enabled, if you had anything extra connected, etc... I use this router and it will simply not go to any nat type but 3. The fact that you didn't show what you did to get these results was really unhelpful.
I got T-Mobile internet the gaming is trash asf, but streaming like RU-vid n shi is coo gaming not cool ima get a LAN cable n see if that does anything
Thinking 40 mins to download a 60gb game is fast has me laughing. Also if you buy your own antenna to connect to the router you can get way better speeds by pointing directly at the tower.
If you turn off your console or unplug the wifi router or for ever reason it goes out your console will NOT be able to connect back to the T mobile router it’s so bad and garbage
To all the people who say that it sucks, T-Mobile tells you that it absolutely depends on your location as to what speeds you will get. I only get around 150mbps, but my friend gets over 600mbps
@@n3rdpl0w You can't really get open NAT because T-Mobile home internet does not give you a publicly routable IP address. One of several reason to avoid T-Mobile home internet it in my opinion.
