As of this year, HUGH JACKMAN has been playing Wolverine for past 24 years (2000-2024) with his upcoming team up with DEADPOOL.

Hugh Jackman shared, “In the very first film, we had real metal claws and the girl who played Mystique, Rebecca Romijn, her double and I were doing a fight sequence. I went to stab her in the arm, which is a part of the choreography. She’s meant to move her arm away. She forgot, and that thing went right into her arm. I mean, like an inch. I was stunned. I mean, it’s been a long time since I’ve stabbed someone.” He added, “It was one of those scenes where it’s so deep, there was no blood coming out. There was this hole, and about a minute later, it was like a geyser. I thought she was going to freak out, and the girl goes, ‘Yes, I've been stabbed by Wolverine!”

Now she plays Commander Una Chin-Riley on the Strange New World. SNW is a prequel to the original Star Trek show. Like Mystique, Una is more than what she appears to be. It’s like their career paths are the reverse of each other.

The X-Men came out in the 1960s, and were meant by Stan Lee to be a way to make sense of the civil rights movement for children. He wanted to instill the idea that just because people may be different from what you’re used to is no reason to fear them or ostracize them. And also to say that they are probably more like you than you think.

Fun fact: in the comics Vanessa from Deadpool is a mutant. Her code name is Copycat and she has the shape changing abilities of Mystique as well as copying others powers kinda like Rogue. Deadpool didn’t get injected with a mutant gene. He was injected with something that made his pre-existing mutation surface. He was already a mutant…it just hadn’t come to fruition yet.

True blood was a phenomenal show. It's definitely a must watch. A million times better than twilight. This first X-Men movie is a little slow but it's pretty good. True Blood is alright for the first season or two. But Buffy the Vampire Slayer is where it's at. And yes, Stan Lee makes his cameo in all three Sam Raimi Spider-Man movies, which all came after this.

@Kevin Two things: You need to share _Green Lantern_ with Tara just so she understands the jokes. Also, if you can find a copy, Roger Corman's version of _The Fantastic Four_ from 1994. Made but never released for tax and legal reasons, it is still arguably the best Fantastic Four movie. In spite of the cheese and terrible costumes and effects. (It is a Roger Corman film after all. The story behind it is great too.)

Disney bought 20th century Fox that had control over the X-Men and all “mutant” characters. Disney transferred the rights back to the Marvel company. I believe once they get their characters from Sony they will have all their characters back. They almost lost all their characters in 2008. If “Iron Man” would’ve flopped they wouldn’t own any of their characters. They put them up as collateral to make Iron Man. They still had rights to those characters but they “mortgaged” them.

@Tara if you wind up liking all these recommend the animated series that came out this year Xne 97 which is better then all the live action films combined. Hugh Jackman, Ian and Patrick are all amazing but these became wolverine and the x men not the Xmen as we all grew up who read the comics. Fun watch
