My Boyfriend Kevin and I started this series on his channel, and decided it needed it's own space to breathe!
THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH FOR SUBSCRIBING AND WATCHING ALONG!
A little about Kevin He is a filmmaker, and a musician and has worked on and off in TV and Film since high school, you might have seen a movie or commercial or tv show he helped make! He is a film Junkie and has seen almost everything!
A little about Tara I spent the last 21 years raising my daughter, who was diagnosed with Epilepsy at 14...it's been rough..and it explains why I haven't seen a lot of movies..this channel will help me fix that!
Big fan of the comic and loved this movie as well as the musical score. Have it on CD and still listen to it. Though a bit different from the comic in more than a few ways, it's still amazing and love Lori Petty in the role. Looking forward to seeing your reaction as always. You're gold!!! Stay well and safe.
I saw this in theatres opening day and had the minority opinion of the group Lori Petty was just plain obnoxious and a lot. 90 minutes straight of her was a vibe. But, Ice T as the mutant hybrid 'Roo-man was comedy gold. 'I'm half-man, half-'roo.' There's a Naked Gun type blocked scene where Petty and Co. are talking in the foreground while the real action and focus-pull is happening in the back where we see Ice literally hopping from one end of of the frame to the other. Christ. Do not be drinking a beverage during this moment. You will be wearing said drink like a moo-moo. Detective Odafin Tutuola dressed up as like the lamest X:Men ever seen, but still talking like Ice really do like a gangsta kangaroo who literally exits a scene hopping mad. Ice gets all the flowers for doing this role and going all in. Mad respect to the Ice Man. Hon, you like Tank Girl, but actually funny and better hair.
Dunno if Tank Girl is _my_ spirit animal, but Lori Petty definitively is. I'm a fan of the original _Tank Girl_ comic too, which was co-created by British artist and musician Jamie Hewlett. Hewlett is probably more famous as part of the creative team behind the virtual band _Gorillaz_ than _Tank Girl._
The different style of Jet Ski was called Wet Bike. It was made by Suzuki. It was around for a short while in the late ‘70s before Jet Ski’s became popular. My uncle owned a Suzuki dealership and I tried to talk my dad into buying me one, but I was only about 11 or 12.
Im the carebear uncle the rest of the family dont like talking about until some carebear stuff wont work you call uncle raven cause my stare puts the fear of me into ya
Did you notice that the guy who the civilian identifies in the line up was the same guy who took Mahoney the Slacker and Ltn. Harris the Horse Plug, hostage in the first film? I think he is even wearing the same outfit: leather jacket, beenie etc.
Hate it when I have to miss the live reaction. I have so much empathy for Mr. Sweetchuck. LOL With me being 5' 3" and being on a shift at the fire department where the average height was just under 6' tall, it could be a challenge. Your laugh still kills me, Tara, but in a good way. Big time positive thoughts and prayers for Bailey and the rest of y'all.
Raiders of the Lost Ark is my favorite action adventure film of all-time! I saw it in theaters when I was 7 yrs old and loved it so much my dad took me 3 more times. Still holds up after all of these years.
Have you ever wondered what the cityline of Toronto looks like from the water ( Lake Ontario ). . The distnguish strcture CN Tower is what gives it away.... Check ya later Eh
notable bobcat films Scrooged Hercules Leroy & Stitch Zed is also in the cartoon series. Over seven films six good 3 or 4 great, Jones And Tackelberry are the only ones in all of them and I think Hightower too.
Loved you rocking the New Kids on the Block shirt. Tim Kazurski started off on SNL in the early 80's. He said in a interview with Bobcat it was the most fun he had working with him. Both of them will return in Police Academy 4 Citizens on Patrol. Bobcat also did the voice for Mr Floppy in Unhappily Ever After the spin off of Married with Children. Unfortunately no more Mauser. We get the return of now Captain Harris along with Proctor. Looking forward to your reaction of the 4th movie. It gets funnier as it goes
I hope you get to the 4th movie as well. The 4th movie is my favorite of the sequels. My mother went to high school with one the main new characters in the 4th movie, Tab Thacker. Tab was also in the movie Wildcats with Goldie Hawn. Tab got movies roles because of his size. He was 6foot4 and 450 pounds but he was a pretty good athlete. He won the NCAA division 1 wrestling heavyweight national championship in 1984. The 4th movie also has a young David Spade and a Tony Hawk cameo in a skateboarding scene.
Watch the documentary about Priscilla That USA movie ripped off this movie Guy and Hugh loved going to gay clubs Terrance never saw the daily clips, to stop him fearing how he came across Won the Oscar for costume & design One of the best ever movies
I saw Bobcat’s standup act a few months ago at the Comedy Vault in Batavia, IL. He lives in the far western suburbs of Chicago. He’s still very funny! Do a search here on YT and you’ll see his recent stuff.
One last thing.. if you really love Bobcat.. and you haven't seen them.. You REALLY need to watch "Shakes the Clown" 1991... or my favorite Bobcat movie .. "Hot To Trot" 1988 .. even has John Candy in that one! so yeah.. just some bobcat movies you may not have seen.. ones I know you would enjoy for sure!! :)
If you love Bobcat... you should watch the movie he wrote and directed called "God Bless America" ... It's very crazy and brutal.. I LOVE IT! Not sure how you would take it.. but.. it's entertaining for sure!! Not for the faint of heart! lol .. OH.. and Disclaimer.. He does not act in that one.. just wrote and directed.. but crazy fun!
30:34 it’s called a wetbike. They discontinued them in 1992. The wave runner and sit down jet skis were more popular and easier to use. I had a friend die on a three wheeler in middle school. He had his girlfriend on the back and went to scoot forward to give her room as they were going. He hit a curb lost control. She was thrown on the grass nearby and he hit the road. They took him off life support on Christmas Eve. 33:19 she wasn’t part of the police academy. She was a bike cop at another precinct.
Stand up jetskis are definitely still a thing with several international racing series. The sit down type are still around too. Collectively they are refered tonas PWC's personal water craft. Also 3 wheel atv's have been making a niche comeback for the last 20 years.
Not sure when this was actually filmed.. but .. Both fingers crossed for your daughter!! .. Do toes count? lol.. well.. I will cross them too.. ya know.. just incase!! :)
Fun fact: Bobcat did not start out as an actor. He started out as an artsy-fartsy fancy pants uptown NYC performance artist. They would have gallery openings and unbeknownst to all the rich people attending the art shows they had Bobcat "greeting" folks at the door and wandering around the gallery in his manic persona scaring the bejusus out of all these old society rich people. People would go up to the gallery owners asking them to call the police saying a disturbed young man wandered in off the street.
