Much of the gang never fully trusted Kieran, even after he saved Arthur's life. It took the O'Driscolls killing him to really cement the idea that he was one of the gang.
Well I mean realistically that would make sense, it be hard to tell any gang to fully trust someone who in their eyes completely flipped on their gang and are now part of them solely because he’ll die without them. He did save Arthur but you could also argue that if he didn’t save Arthur John and Bill would’ve butchered him right there after seeing that Colm wasn’t there, I mean Arthur almost blew his head off because of that. I’m not saying he wasn’t part of the gang I think he was because they treated him way better than the O’Driscoll‘s but I am saying it makes sense why they would think like that. Let’s not forget Dutch even admits he doesn’t trust Micah in the beginning of the game.
When the Pinkertons tried to get the gang to turn Dutch in, in return for giving them a head start to break apart and go their separate ways, everyone drew their weapons to defend him. ... Even Keiran. The same man Dutch threatened to geld is the same one who was ready to fight for him.
Maybe her covered in gore was a way to kill the tention, either from the insane fight or maybe because she started accepting Kieran as one of their own@@lufanocorvino
During my playthrough, the last time I saw Kieran alive was at the big party at Shady Belle the night little Jack was returned to the gang. My Arthur sang and drank and talked with everyone, even the folks on patrol. Kieran stood alone near the house. I said "Why don't you come over and join us?" It was the first time Arthur said something to him without a joke about being an O'Driscoll or a traitor. Kieran said "Maybe later." He was likely taken that night while everyone was drunk and celebrating, because I could never find him around camp again.
It’s brutal because in both the O’Driscoll and Van Der Linde gang he’s really only a horse keeper. Like he’s not a robber/killer he’s capable of it but avoids it. He did not deserve that brutal of a death.
Even if they trusted Kieran or not, the way he was killed was not deserved. I saw the horse coming down to Shady Bell with the rider carrying something in his hands and I thought to myself "there's no way that person is beheaded". But it was. When I found out it was Keiran, it kind of bummed me out because the kid was starting to feel like part of the gang. Sad day indeed.
He was taken away while everyone was celebrating Jack's return He was taking care of the horses alone he got taken, the Odriscolls beated him tortured him for betraying him cut out his eye balls and cut his head off to represent à creature from an old barbaric tradition
I was horrified when I saw that, Dutch bringing in the question I instantly knew something was terribly off then Kieran was shown eye gouged and beheaded I was horrified
I always have felt like Kieran's ticket got punched a bit early. A missed opportunity to create an interesting arc, from a kidnapped, frightened, neglected nobody to a respectable gang member. I mean, they had already lost the Callander boys and Sean by that point. He could have become a reliable, dependable gunslinger as well to try and "fill in" for those abscenses. He was making a conscious effort to put in the work inside camp to be accepted by the gang anyway. Imagine going with him in the mission where Colm swings. I insist, missed opprtunity.
I was surprised he didn’t mention Kieran either. I always thought it was just because his death was so dark he just didn’t like thinking about it or he just wasn’t as close to Kieran as he was with the others
Not just after his death tbf, but still way too late. During the party when Jack came back multiple people asked him to join the party iirc. He didn't want to, but I do think the gang started to appreciate him by that point. Arthur became nicer and nicer too as the game went on, by the end if you greeted him it was basically normal conversation like with all the other gang members
I love Kiaren Mary Beth right he did have a gentle soul he cared for a lot of the gang members he cared for the gang members horses. I liked him a lot he was never like the other O'Driscoll's and I hate what Micah only a person like Micah can be so heartless to say that Kiaren was never a rat Micah can you have no room to speak about that kind of stuff about anybody mr. Trader
something i really like about your channel is that you don't use mods so somethings you do i can do too for example getting micah's revolver early keep making this great content its fun to watch
@@AshwinY since you are here, i wanted to tell you about the glitch i discovered in van horn you go to the shop, you steal the register, but, when you are stealing it, you will always continue to walk, it gets you infinite money
Most of them only cared about him after he died. And then pretended like they liked him or were starting to. Kinda disrespectful and disgusting honestly.
Alongside Javier, Kieran was one of my fave npcs, after i finished his mission i was left feeling so sad. I literally had to take a break from story missions and just wander around the map bc holy shit that was thought to process
He was the hardest worker in camp and unfortunately had to stay behind I am happy he never saw what became or was always there of Dutch he would be like I fell back in with the o driscolls
I had a funny situation after this mission: Sadie had a talk with Abigail and I had -Girl wash your clothes, Jack can leave any time and you have blood on your sweter
I went fishing with him and I bought every lore just because how like-able he was just to impress him with the legendary fish, but when I got back the mission played. They only play our hearts like a fiddle. Curses all to rockstar
I antagonised him for the rest of the game and it took me multiple times to beat that damn skinner brothers mission because I just didn't have the motivation
I thought there’d be a hidden scene where u can see him being taken or smth. I then saved the came to come back later, ( saved infront of him ) and then we wasn’t there :’)
O'driscoll boah that always work at the camp, its sad to see him died like that😢. Also, i wonder, is that horse is kieran's horse ? Coz, O driscoll doesnt know their camp right ? So they use kieran horse to lead them to the camp location ? Just like Arthur horse that bring him back to the camp after meet with colm ? If its true, than its so clever...
Respect for firing a couple of rounds strauss...bastard deserves it for making us do them disgraceful debt collector missions(i do them just so i can watch arthur send strauss out of the gang)
Wheny you think about it only 4 people cared about kieran:bill, arthur, mary-beth and trelwany also unlike anyone else uncle was honest that he never liked kieran that much
I came so close to quitting the game over Kieran’s death. I really thought he was gonna have way more of an important role, even becoming the “big hero” at the end.
