Ganyu Shimenawa's Reminiscence vs Wanderer's Troupe - Damage Comparison | Genshin Impact 

The best and efficient way to farm is to farm for shimenawa first and if you get bad pieces use them to get wanderer's from the artifact strongbox. I know this depends on everyone's luck but think abt it instead of farming for one set we can farm both at the same time and once ur done farming just go for set which has better substats ! As a ganyu main, I advice u to go 4 piece wanderer. Cuz playing with ganyu u will probably just shoot 2-3 charge shots and continue with ur team rotation while popping her ult as well. So losing energy just for little dmg increase isn't that worth dps wise.

225 EM makes a huge difference.

With same substat wanderer is better than new set, but wanderer is hard to farm because no domains drop it. So if you dont have anyset you should farm new set, if you have good wanderer set already, dont farm new set

I'll take WT all day for ganyu melt comp with xianling. The melt reaction helps a lot especially on abyss.

I feel like I’ve made my decision and I am gonna use the wanderer’s set!

Wanderer seems more easy to build despite it only farmable on world bosses and weekly bosses. Its a unconditional increase in damage and you get elemental mastery in the 2pc set for elemental reactions. Shimenawa is great too but you you typically wont build ganyu with ER , even with a 40 Energy Cost for her burst its still will affect the rotation since every time you use your elemental skill itll reduce your energy by 15.

The EM difference Is very missleading, 145 EM substats MAKE a difference clearly

Its best you farm for Emblem of Severed Fate since almost all support characters love that set, and as you farm those, you'll be able to get Shimenawa's. If you end up having good Shimenawa artifacts, you can settle for those. Inevitably, you're going to need to farm world bosses for character ascension, meaning you're also going to most likely get Wanderer's. You can opt to compare your sets, but if you plan to completely maximize Ganyu's damage, you're going to want a Wanderer's set. So, my advice, is you keep farming for your supports and characters and whichever set you've nearly completed with good stats, you can opt into farming for that set.

I don't have a wanderers set but I DO have reminiscence artifacts with almost 90% rolls on crit dmg and the rest on atk%, I got them while farming artifacts for Raiden. Gosh I love that domain

For me the new set is better her E have 10s cooldown and her ult is just 40 energy so it's not hard to get her ult AND the other set is so hard to get so it's a win

you get a little more damage with shimenawa but only when the buff is active with a loss of your energy as well. wanderers is more consistent and elemental mastery is a nice bonus for ganyu

thanks i've been using blizzard strayer on my diona the longest and ive hit a damage cap at 33k with melt thinking of switching to shimenawa.

Thats why on melt ganyu together with bennet (assuming you are not also running sucrose or kazuha) it is generally recommended to go EM sands because there's just so much attack it results in diminishing returns

i’m just gonna farm shimenawa and emblem, see what i get from that domain cause i also need emblem pieces and shimenawa pieces for hu tao and keqing wouldnt be bad. and i’ll just put my bad artifacts into the strongbox for wanderers

I have both set and both are good with crit damage but still I like wandereres more with 150 -200 EM ...... it's kind of cosanstantmy to me with overall damage . But for one enemy other set is better

wanderer is probably more efficient, I reccomend farming sets you need and sacrificing bad artifacts to the strongbox

Anthor thing is to consider that freeze ganyu is better because of how in spiral or most boss fights applying pyro could be hazardous because of needing to get closer unless you have a shield charecter then wanders is better but blizzard is still an option for lessening stress on getting crit rate

I have both 4pc shimenawa and wanderer set, but I’m pulling for zhongli this round and I’m keeping shimenawa set when yoimiya banner comes.

4pc Shimenawa is better but the issue comes to reactions because wanders give far more EM you need a juice Shimenawa but lets say both sets are juiced and ideal 4pc Shimenawa does quite a bit more but you’ll need a EM time piece vs wanders which you can use an attack timepiece for and even with a EM time piece your damage will be less but for reactions/melt Shimenawa is the better set and surprisingly you won’t struggle with the energy requirement(15 energy) at all with her.

Farm the shimenawa stage bcs you will surely play xiangling w her and her best set is the lightning set so farm shimenawa and recycle the garb artifacts

Besides, wanderer rocks it a bit better...bcoz Ganyu's burst gives u some cryo DMG bonus buff and it gives u more dmg when u paired it with venti and flame your charge shots But with shimenawa set , u will need to lose some energy to get the buff then only can use your ulti again one it is fully recharged which sucks

Shimenwa is better for melt comp if you get some decent EM substats. The show case doesn't really do Shimenawa justice because he has 0 EM for the entire set. That's pretty bad. And for those wondering if not using her burst will hurt your dps, you don't use her burst when using melt Ganyu. It will steal her vapes and completely mess with her reactions. The cryo bonus isn't worth losing vapes to your burst.

Thanks for the information. I thought shimenawa was significantly better but now I know that my ganyu would only deal a couple thousand more damage per cs. Going from 52k (No reaction both shots crit) to around 56k defo isn't too big of a deal and the luxury of not having to use elemental skill is nice I guess)

I think 4 piece wanderer is better if your looking for melt comps, but shimenawa is maybe good for like in field DPS. I haven't farmed Shimenawa artifacts yet.

Everyone have to know this: Using shiminawa means less ult more charge attacks And ganyu ult is so powerful especially in spiral abyss So i prefer going for wandered It gives a good charge attacks DMG and you can use your ult Please think about this before farming for shiminawa (You can get her so much energy so she can use ult but it is the same issue here)

I much prefer 4 wanderers mainly because of the elemental reactions

I was using wanderer but my Shimenawa have a lot of EM so the only difference is like 90 EM between both sets, in the end my shimenawa works better for me Also 2550atk with shimenawa but 2230atk with wanderer

How long is her E's cooldown? Because using Shimenawa does not only sacrifice her Burst damage and damage bonus, it also is very inconsistent if its downtime isn't in-sync with her E cooldown.

my gantu c0, can 30k - 35k charge attack with f2p wp, and can 60k -75k damage with amos bow r1, wanderer artifact :)

im just too lazy to farm more artifacts and I have a really bad luck with the artifacts but I have some shimenawa's reminiscence artifacts that are decent and are max level so just gonna use them when I get ganyu

Mine with wanderer and skyHarp can deal 60k+120k on magu kenki in spiral abyss with bennet and xiangling..

Gonna use Wanderers when I get her plus I have r4 Amos bow for my bbg

Nice comparison, shimenawa's 10 crit dmg is nothing comparing to 225 em and 122 atk boost om wanderer's set, and of course you get better results on wanderer's set, but the thing is, if you compare this sets with same stats you'll see that in raw, melt will win shimenawa's, the only time wanderer wins is casting your burst to get additional 20% cryo dmg bonus and some dmg, which you can't do on shimenawa's, but burst can remove pyro from enemies and you'll be dealing raw damage

I still think Wander is best because of new artifacts set doesn't let her use brust. Her brust is really powerful and even give 20% Cryo DMG bonus which further can add in Wander charge shot so it's gonna be 55% DMG bonus and also 80EM for element reaction like melt.

NOT a ganyu haver, but I used to use shimenawa on my hu tao and I don’t really recommend it since it’s better to have burst uptime in the abyss and the 4pc bonus doesn’t work if you don’t have enough energy :’) I would go for wanderers if both the sets had somewhat the same stats hehe

Im using shimenawa and hamayumi r5. My melt is almost 70k in open world. I use raiden’s elemental skill to recover the 15 energy reduction from shimenawa after casting skill so that passive will double.

should I change my ganyu's freeze build to melt?? for now she does like 23k for the bloom, and 39k(I think?) with melt. The pieces are pretty good and I like freeze, but I also want to try to maximize her damage too

I'll go for 4pc shimenawa on ganyu and it's okay for me if i use her ult on shimenawa even i lose 50% charged attack on shimenawa passive when my ult recharge goes back to zero because her ult still gives 20% cryo buff to her so losing a 50% charged attack when i use her ult is not a big lost for me imo

I am literally confused note: i will have following stats from both sets,1:wanderers(192/52,em=150,attack=around 2.250,weapon=R2 Amos),2:shimenawa(223/39.2),em=25,attack(exceed 2.400),weapon(Amos R2) note: attack had been calculated by me,i haven't able to stack much attack%on wanderers for that 2.250 less attack,also i have stacked em more on wanderers,these following stats doesn't include any buff or resonance

New Here, I just want to something, I know that prototype crescent increase Atk if charge attacks hit enemies weak spot but can it still work if you miss the weak spot

I think i'm gonna go Shimenawa for Ganyu since I don't have any good Wanderers troupe artifacts. Hopefully I'll get some good Wanderer troupes artifacts.

You should try it with an EM sands on Shimenawa set

people are probably gonna bully me but I use eosf on my ganyu since I cant get good shime or wanderers, my ganyu still does ok dmg since I'm only ar 45 and I started farming like yesterday. I'm planning on pulling for baal soon so I hope I can get good shime or wanderers so that I can switch my eosf to my raiden

I have my Ganyu with 2 wanderer and 2 gladiator, also with the bow of Inazuma smit, she hits 56k with melt, there's so many ways of building a Ganyu

Shime Ganyu also allows you to use her physicals when you're too lazy to aim. Great for finishing things off.

its simple if your just using ganyu for 95% of the time shimenawa set if you put her in a melt team wanderers troupe. only time you need melt ganyu though is in abyss because shimenawa ganyu can 1 or 2 shot most enemies in overworld

Personally I advise you to not toggle aim and shoot because due to ganyu's animation you will lose a second or so in toggle aim.

If you already have good / Godly stats for Wanderer, just use Wanderer, i know Shimenawa is +50% dmg, wanderer only 35%, but with shimenawa you can't use Ult (hard to fill your Ult) + no EM to add more dmg for elemental reaction, but with wandere, you got more damage with elemental reaction and can Ult, and remember Ult + 15% Cryo damage bonus (CMIIW about that percentage) and if you have Amos already just like me, use the Wanderer, it would be good af

If u want to use reverse Melt Ganyu go with Wanderer set because it give u EM but if u want to use pure Cryo Ganyu go with Shimenawa set

wanderer is the way to go cuz her burst is so useful, and shimenawa is quite restrictive to get that damage.

I've been farming shimenawa domain since it was released and i still cannot do 4 piece combos.

I use the wanderer and amos bow, my damage is near of 20k of the charged and like 38k for the cristals ;)

for all new ganyu havers or wanters. Wanderers is good if you want an easy ganyu build without having to put too much time and effort on your artifacts

Wanderer is the best set, and you can cast her ultimate without problems... But, with amos bow is so hard to get 50/200 ratio omg the strongbox got rotted after 9999 sacrificed artifacts, finally 53/213 :')

I'm using wanderer's troupe. 62% CR and 168% CD. I deal 10k (lowest) to 60k (highest) without elemental reaction. But with melt and superconduct. I deal more than that.

I have Yoimiya with 4 piece shimenenawa, and Amos bow. Does that work for ganyu

Those who thinking shimenawa lost...look at her attack shimenawa should have around 150 attack more then wanderers becuase of their passive and stuff but it's opposite and wanderers got 225 em but it should had only 80

wanderers is best suited for mobile player & simple playstyle shimenawa is for hardcore micro management type players

In my opinion Wanderer's set is still better, it doesn't need her to use her elemental skill and missing burst in the process, when she actually does more dmg under her ultimate, also Wanderer's does more melt dmg. I use her in a melt team with R1 Amos Bow, without any buff she does 32k-34k bloom alone, 50k total dmg per charged atk, under her ultimate she does like 60k or a bit more, and with melt she does 100k per charged shot without buffs. Mine has 182% crit dmg but 2.5k atk, I still need to change 1 artifact that is pretty meh.
