Ganyu is the most comfortable open world unit in the game. No other unit can delete the daily comission towers from another continent.

I'm definitely pulling her when her banner comes up. The thing I like about her is that if she ever becomes power crept by other characters, you can transition her from DPS to a sub-DPS or support role because her burst essentially has 100% uptime. I just don't see her becoming a completely obsolete character for a very long time if ever.

Ganyu is so OP you had to nerf her by listing her cons twice just to balance it out.

Honestly I just like her design, the fact that she’s broken af is a plus

It's worth mentioning that her main dmg source also isn't stamina reliant and ER as a stat isn't really of much relevance to her. Also PSA for anyone that's pulling for either her or Xiao, make sure to prefarm Qingxin flowers asap. You will need 168 of them and they're among the most irritating ascension map items to farm.

Really clear pros and cons list! Generally positive (it is Ganyu we are talking about) but still highlighted in the skill level and investment you have to have to make her shine. Easily digestible especially for early players/returning players.

I know he stated this in the video but it’s still underrated how massively strong her burst is against multiple enemies clumped together. I have been able to clear 12 9 star with Morgana (Ganyu Mona Kazuha Diona) c0, 4 star weapons with an average of only 2 charged shots per rotation mainly relying on her icicles for damage. It is also very easy to play since you are effectively just quick swapping burst with all 4 Characters

She was my first 5 star on any banner. She felt broken straight out of the box. I don't have a good artifact set for her or even fully leveled artifacts and she still feels like I'm cheating. The only reason I don't play her fulltime is because everything becomes too easy. You start finishing and killing things from 200 ft away. She's crazy broken and straightforward. Can't even really play her wrong as long as you charge attacks

Would love to see a “Mobile vs PC” tier list. Some supposed top tier character is really hard to play on mobile, like Hu Tao with her animation cancel, Ganyu as you mentioned in this video, or Xiao where you couldn’t even see where he’s plunging into.

Ganyu is the most rewarding character in Genshin. Hit hard. Long uptime Aoe burst and a taunt. She got all what we need from an archer

For me, someone who missed her first time around, I honestly want her as a sub DPS burster, I’ll obviously enjoy using her as a main archer DPS too but her versatility, for me, makes her must have in this next banner. Plus I have a Skyward Harp, and an elite-level Wanderer’s 4p set already.

The one on the clip is a c6 ganyu. Just mentioning it, so ppl won't feel dissappointed if they saw this video and thought that's how she functions in constellation 0.

Tip: if you’re on mobile and have trouble aiming, use hamayumi on her and just aim at ground to get the frost flake arrow aoe dmg. It’s more effective than missing some of your charged shots

originally i wasn't planning on pulling for her, but after getting the amos bow when i was pulling for staff of homa, im definitely getting her

She carries me thru the whole game, that's why she's irreplaceable for me

As ganyu being my first five star, I got used to her quite fast. Even if you can't get used to her charged shot, her flower does quite good damage and ult too. As a Support she is very very good. Ps: when you use her as Support, put sacrificial bow on her. That way she can use her flower twice wich is quite good and her ult comes faster

a word of caution to those who plan to aim at the floor instead of aiming at the enemies, her initial hit (frostflake arrow) is around 1/3 of her total aimed charged shot damage (arrow + AOE bloom). practicing to hit the enemies with the initial strike of the arrow is ideal if you want to get the most damage out of your ganyu's charged shots.

100% pulling for her. I have had amazing wanderers 4piece and blizzard strayer from simply playing since patch 1.1 😅 and I recently got an amos bow from the standard banner. So everything is set and ready to go for Ganyu!! ❤️❤️

8:25 People usually recommend Diona in 4th, but Ganyu/Mona/Venti/Ayaka quickswap is usually what I recommend too. 1. If you bring these, you can freeze and group enemies while throwing out TWO taunts, there's downtime etc. but give it a good try. 2. A 2nd slot benefiting from Blizzard, that's pretty efficient. 3. Ayaka adds serious burst AND single-target capabilities too! Not just low field-time for good dps, unlike Beidou, the dps also just comes out fast, which is especially amazing with Omen/freeze/Venerer. (Kokomi variation cool too though, the hydro duration is nice) 4. Some nice additional QoL: Ganyu or Ayaka died nearing the end of floor 3? You're fine, use the other one, just one of them with the supports hits hard until you need energy. 5. And the biggest thing for me: Your hyper-carry charged spam team is now a very varied and novel quickswap, if you thought you hated Ganyu's often repetitive and not very flashy playstyle, this might be it. There's times where hyper-Ganyu is better though, but I mostly like her melt build vs. annoying scattered specters etc., and her Q is nice there too, unlike some Ganyu melt strats. Kazuha's pyro AoE is pretty big and she can stand in Bennett Q consistently while Zhongli slots nicely (Xiangling isn't for this application) Then there's that hydro domain where your E cooldowns suck, I just point and click there, you can stack pyro and cryo resonance at that point, maybe a Childe passive if your atk or rate is already oversaturated. Would love to get seamless supports that let Ganyu spam away like that vs. tanky enemies, but seems unlikely for many reasons.

Little thing before any of you pull for her She has a very slow play style unlike most of the dps in the game who are fast. If you don’t like slow play style I don’t recommend her but then again it’s up to you

I have Ganyu already but still decide to watch this entire video. I just love her more than anything in the game.

I almost decided to pull for Ganyu, but I play on mobile and charged attacks are difficult to aim. I also am very set on being a Yae Miko main whenever she comes out and can’t run out of primos for her!!

Been saving for her ever since i heard some speculations and leaks that she might get a rerun in 2.4. Already pre-farmed, almost a full WT set ready for her, come home ganyu.

I started playing a couple months ago, and as someone who has been planning on getting her from day one, I'm very excited about her banner. I've been watching your videos on her, they are a lot of help!

Her playstyle is slow, but she is literally the only "Archer" that actually plays like one.

as a low spender, i was really set in getting her for this patch. everything is ready including artifacts and amos, but then the possibility of kazuha rerun and yae miko’s release in 2.5 just shattered those dreams💀 i want kazuha AND yae miko so i don’t think i would have enough funds for both of them if i decided to go for her. sigh mihoyo why EDIT: thank you everyone for your response! i will definitely keep all of these in mind gl to your future pulls! ^^ EDIT pt. 2: won the 50/50 ;)

Pro tip: When using aiming mode, if safe enough, stay in aiming mode, the charged shots after the 1st charged shot in aiming mode charge much faster (you'll understand once you get into the game and try it out)

New Idea I thought about "how viable is X character in coop?" And the result is: Either selfish or (ultimate) self sufficient characters are on top of the list. Since Ganyu fulfills both of these criteria, she is actually the most useful coop character IMO. Doesnt need any other character to work and give great contribution to the team [DPS/taunt/ranged/buffer(+20% cryo)/cryo enabler] Who wouldnt want that on their team? Kazuha is also pretty high up there, since CC, buff and RES shred and easily be kept up permanently for the whole team~

The fact that she is one of the best dps and a great support is more than enough.

Very nice video, and good to see the pros and cons. I was "meh" on her initially, then played her story and fell in love. Won the 50/50, then dolphin'd near the end of her banner for C1. Haven't regretted it at all. Whether I go for C2 (on the way to C6) this banner remains to be seen; Zhongli C1 would be pretty nice.

I have a c0 ganyu, playing on mobile and I personally find her very fun, its just satisfying to kill mobs from a distance xD

Ganyu was my first 5-Star character and I still use her for my main archer (unless I am going against Cryo based enemes )

I have every possible dps from hutao to eula but she is irreplacable. Just put 4 wanderer and crecent ,you are good to go. You dont have to care wether your burst is ready or not, if abyss is draining your energy or have long elemental cool down.

ive been using my ganyu since i got her for pretty much any challenging content. shes always my fallback and my rock of a dps. shes the only 5* character ive actually ever considered taking to c6 but that and her amos bow comes with a big price tag, im on the fence rn but leaning more towards stopping at c4 and waiting for next rerun to c6 (maybe next year, but hopefully sooner if reruns become more frequent)

For those who would want to pull for Ganyu, putting aside gameplay preferences, contrary to the popular belief, her play style is fun(if you like playing ranged sniping type classes on any other rpg games and if you're playing GI on PC). Also the fact that she pretty much has unlimited range allows you to do crazy cool over-world stuff. In combat, once you have mastered playing her, the problems that you think comes with her being, squishy,easily interrupted and slow would not matter anymore. There are only 4 major things to remember, 1. Abuse the versatility of her artifact and team builds to tackle any content that is not immune to cryo. 2. Try to practice the right timing on how and when to use her E more than perfectly trying to aim her charged shots. Putting down her taunt while evading attacks and keeping the right distance away from targets is for me the core of her gameplay if you cannot build a morgana comp, but if you have morgana? Lol just go AoE bonk your way out of almost any fight. 3. Always abuse freeze against multiple enemies that can be frozen( specially if you can build the infamous morgana comp), Ayaka users at a certain point knows how this works specially if they abuse morgana comp ayaya version. 4. Abuse melt comps against bosses or targets that cannot be frozen(which most likely would be bosses most of the times anyways). If you keep these in mind plus if you love playing ranged/kiting play styles then there is almost no reason you won't enjoy playing as Ganyu.

Ganyu's biggest con is if you accidentally start to fall asleep while playing. Because unless you enjoy speed running, hoo boy, does she erase most of the challenge from the game once she's built even at c0. I've heard many big Genshin streamers say how boring she makes the game to play with how easily she deletes things, and I'm inclined to agree with them. Whether it's as main DPS, or a sub-DPS dropping her ulti on cooldown, she offers so much power on her own or with allies. I enjoy being broken on occasion, but after breaking a different gacha game already and experiencing that, I don't know if I want to for Genshin or not. I probably will, but solely as a sub-DPS Ganyu; both because I don't really enjoy ranged weapons like bows/bowguns in Monster Hunter, and I really prefer wombo comboes or more active combat in the game more. Only exception I'd say is Yoimiya's fast pewpews. Of course, play what you love and enjoy, I just wanted to get that out into the comments section for anyone who was hesitant to pull solely for power as opposed to fun. If Ganyu is your type of fun, go for it gamers. Alternatively, if you love Xiao's pogos, pull for him, he's still great and hypercarries on his own without needing a very heavily invested team. I know I will be, because I love anemo mobility. ^_^

The brutal truth is she is awesome even today. I play on mobile and she has carried my gameplay since her release. Still can't forget the day when I one cycled Dvalin for the first time.

So tempted to pull Ganyu since I wanted her to join for so long. The problem my account is so poorly managed having Yomiya, Hu Tao, Shogun and Mona. Having Hu Tao makes me think pulling for ZhongLi is more justifiable.

Love my ganyu! Have her at c0 still with r4 cresent. Currently on a melt build but once I get shenhe I can change her back into a freeze build. I also have elegy for her when she backs up my hutao. I dont use her as a main DPS anymore but from time to time she is great for me. Her peak for me was when mihoyo first put the water creatures from oceanid into abyss and a freeze team was needed. Ganyu was the way to go. Any other oceanid related content and she was there leading the way. I have a feeling she will be much needed when we enter places like enkanomiya and later on fontaine with all the water

i wanted ganyu when she came out but i joined the game right as her banner ended. throughout this whole year i’ve religiously watched your ganyu builds and showdowns, so hell yes am i pulling for her!!

As a mobile Ganyu main who runs her as an all-rounder support, regardless of powercreep, she’s really fun to play. *Also her crit damage ascension stat is great*

The best thing about her is that she doesnt has energy recharge problem unlike xiao and u dont have to rely on her burst

I’m so glad I got her in her first banner. I’ve tested multiple bows on her and her crit are crazy on each bow. I use thundering pulse on her atm since i havent got amos, and her charge shot in double pyro team is >60k without melt reaction. Shes so worth it if you love playing bow character

Ganyu being the only character I've whaled on and have her at C6, He hits the nail on all these points. Ganyu has made a lot of content easy mode. I've always liked ranged characters way back when Fischl was considered a really strong must have unit. Didn't know Ganyu would end up being this strong but the reason I whaled on her was because she fit my play style perfectly. Her taunt is probably the best in the game. Have her triple crowned. She will take getting used to with her main source of dps being charged shots, but once you get over that hurdle, boy will you have fun obliterating mobs from another continent.

childe, ganyu and hutao were my most wanted character ever since i saw their trailer. i am happy to finally give my hu tao and ganyu their signature weapons after using them for a year

A friend of mine started playing this game recently and it is so hard to be unbiased when asked about whether to pull for her or not. XD. I had been itching to get a good bow character/ any kind of dps and rolled for her the first time. And after I got her everything was a breeze (ofc playing her on mobile is impossible). Since Shenhe’s kit is rumored to support characters who use Cyro as their main sources of damage, people who already have ganyu and want to pull Shenhe, or are plaining to whale, Ganyu will most likely increase in damage, since Shenhe will basically be Bennett but Cyro

Ive only ever done a total of 6 pulls on the weapon event banner and I did those because I was bored and I got amos bow I've been wanting ganyu for a long time now so I'll definitely be pulling

Awesome review! :D I find melt Ganyu quite hard to play in domains even when shielded, while her freeze comp makes 'em trivial. Wanderer's Troupe is still king to delete the open world content, so I guess she will be amazing after the devs give us artifact loadout?!

I pulled ganyu back in 1.2 tbh she's so good I have almost every good dps in the game but she's still super good tho pull who you love ganyu is just closest to my heart

Ganyu is a beast! I won her a year ago. I have her BIS weapon on her - Amos. This girl carried me through so much of the game and is still my all time fav! She is adorable too with a great attitude. I am not a whale but have a bunch of 5 star characters C1 - C2 along with 5, 5-Star weapons some at R2. Out of all of those - She is still my front runner on most teams and got me through the last Potion event _(along with a friend who aided me on the harder content as I was ill during the event - I need to get Mauryll koodos - such a nice guy.)._ When farming Ruin Guards for example: You will see how quickly she stuns them and then typically you would switch to a carry right? - however she almost one shots them at times. No lie. I play her support but often her dmg is so high I don't need a carry; I just * *_pew pew pew_* * away! Honestly♥ As a side note I have over 2k poultry and over 500 meat with over 100 crafted/cooked of the most higher end food because everywhere I go I use her to run down those poor helpless little boars, foxes and cranes along the way - though I don't like the way foxes cry - so sad - when I get em up close. You can use your E skill - "flower" when surprised by an animal too. If I did not have Zhong Li, I'd try to C3 her. However I want Yae more. I am at Hard Pity for Zhong Li so I am praying I am blessed to win Zhong Li and Yae as Yae has an off field Electro buff with a great Ulti (or so I am told by a good friend who rocks this game)! *꧁•♥Happy Gaming All ♥🕊꧂*

For Melt Ganyu, if you have Zhongli, use him. I run Zhongli, Bennett, Kazuha, and Ganyu. Survivability and DMG both increase and it makes the team much easier to play.

I got zhongli and ganyu on these current banners. I’ve hardly farmed any artifacts, AR54 and I just happened to have perfect 4 pc wanderers troupe set. 70% critical rate 186 critical damage and 243 EM at level 70. Add cryo resonance and some crit food and she be slaying. Still working on talents and ascending her but damn I lucked out on my wanderers artifacts. Currently an Itto, Ningguang, Ganyu main.

Taking just welkin and dailies into account, I'll have enough pulls by the end of Ganyu for two 5 stars. I'm getting Ganyu regardless however I'm gonna see how people are using Shenhe towards the end of her banner to try 50/50 on her. If I lose then oh well Ganyu is free. If I win, I 50% might need to swipe but at least then I'll have a strong duo.

This was super useful for pulling for Ganyu. Ik I’m going to pull for her and use in freeze with both Kokomi and Ayaka, and maybe Childe

I get Ganyu in my both accounts and she is my main in all of them. Have all chars for permafreeze and Melt combs and yes she is fun to play. I can go play with my Hu Tao, Klee, Child but in the end i always come back for her. Welp what i can do i love archers and spears users is my thing. The only thing i in doubt is if i go for Shenhe or wait for Kazuha rerun.

I still remember the day i got ganyu by 7 single wishes from star glitter, and then got Amos bow off-banner(it was Homa banner i think). I was so happy that i use the prototype crescent r2 to fodder amos. Sweet memory of my meta-waifu-carry. Even though I rarely use her anymore but maybe will try for C1 if I still have primos or didnt get Shenhe.

The thing I love most about her is her longevity. Is her dps starting to get powercrept? Cool, use her as a support instead of a dps then. She’s one of the only dps hypercarry characters that can be used as a viable support.

Hi iwtl, i have a suggestion about mentioning some "power spike" constellation for the character on these reviews, because most of them are re runs and people might want to pull for constellation but doesn't know which one to aim for/worth for their bank.👍
