Thanks for checking out DIY Woodn't You. This is the third video in a 3 part garage makeover. In this video we're building a cubby bench out of primed 1x3’s, 1/2" plywood (15/32...whatever), and a “white wood” edge glued shelving board. This was by far the most difficult and time consuming part of this garage makeover. This bench was a blast to build, and I’m thrilled with how it turned out and fit in the space. Materials needed:
- (2 sheets) 15/32 plywood
- (3 pieces) pre primed pine 1x3’s
- (1) 20” x 96” white wood shelving board for the top
- For this build I added a pine 1x2x8’ (stained to match the top) as a filler where the baseboard held the bench off the wall.
- wood putty and caulk
- 6 or 8 L brackets (if you choose to attach the top like I did)
- paint and stain of your choice
