Garage door remote issues

I bought a replacement control unit for my electrical garage door from Garage Door Guru in the UK. It was great to have the full functionality back, but after about six months the remote started to have issues. They sent two with the kit, so I just switched over to the spare. Then it started to have issues.
I eventually worked out how to fix them !

@Craig Mitchell thank you very much. I happened to pass a timpsoms shop today who offered to replace the battery, the older type one got it working but still 1 button playing up so replaced the button for me all in all a tenner and it works great so happy day's.

The garage door guru in the UK have an eBay and amazon shops. thegaragedoorguru.co.uk for links to these. The parent company is www.fenlandgaragedoors.co.uk Highly recommended, even when I bought the original replacement kit, and had a few questions they were very helpful.

HI Chelsea There has to be a control unit to active and control the motor that raises and lowers the door. I left a link to the garage door company in the description thegaragedoorguru.co.uk😉

Hi. I have exactly the same remote and box as yours, could you tell me what to do to close the door with just one click, and not like I have so far that I have to press the close button all the time

@@Mike.G Ah, OK Michal, mine does only need one push on the buttons, I don't need to hold the button down while operating. I really can't say why your's doesn't work the same way.

@@Craig-MItchell The installer said it was for the safety of people and animals nearby, but still I would like to be able to close after pressing only once, as when opening. I need to contact the company who installed it ,and ask if it can be changed...

@@Mike.G When I bought the kit from the Garage Door Guru, it came with some infra red sensors that you could install if you wanted to stop it closing on stuff in the way. I didn't install it and I've had a couple of mishaps 😏 If there were other people around, I would probably be grateful to have to hold down the button. So perhaps just live with it 🤔
