John I've watched a lot of videos. And I have not seen anyone say exactly how the Garmin R10 is setup using a vertical and horizontal laser to project onto the impact screen. I have a Sig10 enclosure just like your Sig8. Did you use a laser to get the Garmin to read wright. The sigs have the Velcro padding that comes up about 4 or so inches until the projected image is on the screen at the bottom. Do you level your garm to be just the height of your driving mat? Or is it at the bottom of the screen? Thanks in advance for any reply. Sorry it was so long.
I used alignment sticks and a level and marked the outline on the floor for placement. I have a strip mat that is the same 2 inch height as my hitting mat. The Garmin R10 is doppler radar. It does not care about where the screen height vertical projection is. Just the horizontal center. You could project your image 2 feet above the Garmin and the software will still give you the same ball flight, height, spin etc. It reads from the position it is struck from. Just make sure the monitor is vertically level and horizontally square. Joe Lagowski and David Maxfield have good leveling videos. I would check those out!
So far so good! I will eventually go with a 4K setup. I finally put a dedicated PC on my sim and ditched the laptop. It sucked! Now I can play at the highest resolution(Ultra) with GSPRO and the computer fan does not even turn on it's so efficient. Looks amazing on the BenQ!
@@johnheney5729 BenQ LK936ST. Not willing to shell out $5000 for one though! First I need to switch out my enclosure from an 8.5x8.5 to a 10x8. I would be open to changing to a 4k option at that point. Any suggestions on another projector option?
@@johnheney5729 That's the first one that I looked at. I only stepped up to the 820 because of the higher lumens. As long as it's fairly dim lighting the 600 is a great option!
