awesomeness just done that mod took a hour to get the oe kyosho diff smoothed down so wheels and meshing is all just right and oh my days i done a figure 8 on me kitchen sideboard the control is so amazing and the figure of 8 was so tight .big thanks rc garage
This is a great little mod but I wish it was around about 5 more this ago lol. Once I picked up my RWD drifter I can’t go back to AWD. Great video man, this is the stuff the community needs!
Thanks . I'm trying to find a way to Co-exist between the 2. Hopefully when our purpose built drift track is ready... I'll run counter steer awd and rwd in harmony.😁
Garage RC yeah that’s my problem, I don’t have a dedicated drift track so my space is super limited. I’m hoping once I have a full on drift track I’ll be able to crab walk & hold long angles, but for now it’s just a dream 😹
Pinion recommendations for sliding on that center shaft? (Is the center drive shaft the same OD as a motor drive shaft... meaning pretty much any Kyosho pinion would work??)
Thank you so much for this. I've been looking into how to do CS for the past month and messed up a diff and some gears. This seems a lot easier with an extra rigid axle laying around. Do you know what shim size is for the axle if we do end up needing it? Just curious. The last diff I made had issues cause of the spacing.
@@GarageMiniRCUK thanks a lot. I took the time to do it today with a kyosho rigid axle and a 15t aluminum pinion gear. I had to sand down the aluminum to length, but everything seems good now. This definitely fits better than having to do it with the default diff mod. I did this for my ma-03f that I converted to fwd. Thanks so much!!
Love the channel been thinking about getting into these cars for a long time and never have I'm not a younger person I'm 51. Is it pretty easy to pick up working on these I don't have the best vision in the world. I have been a member of your Instagram site but I just joined the Facebook one as well
I have freinds who are 60. Get a good magnification set up. Magnetic mat to catch screws. Start with mini z awd if not sure easier to get going. Less to go wrong.
@@GarageMiniRCUK I have been liking the single take, no editing approach i have been doing as of late, much less work and i have enough automation in obs to cover most of the effects i need. any editing is always painful also like the shop transparency, really appreciate that (on the stock front)
Any chance you could answer a quick question? I just went through and did the CS mod here but my MA-030 is pretty much not drivable. With a 5600k the car just spins around randomly. The car rolls smooth and switching out the rear diff back to Solid has it driving just fine again. The t15 in the back is meshing fine and nothing rubbing, so not exactly sure what else would be the problem. Any advice on something to check would be greatly appreciated, haha.
@@GarageMiniRCUK Exactly that. I just modded out the combo red diff pack from Alibaba. I have everything meshing well gear wise but I think something is just goofy with my front. I currently have my setup in 98mm with a Megane RS body but it has the same behavior running without it. I need to reconnect the thing to the ICS and figure how to reset my trim on this EVO as I'm at like -100.
