It’s awesome hearing Fraser’s grunts doing these clean and jerks and squats. Watching him in competition, you don’t get hear that. Makes him seem like a machine out there on the floor. This reminds me that he’s human after all lol.
Mat and team. You have been a serious inspiration for me after getting into CrossFit. My life and perspective have changed tremendously since becoming a follower. May blessing continue to come our way!
I come back to this video regularly. Something about that slow-mo with that music. Get the people goin. And Mat is just a straight up badass. Love his motivation
7 years competing in Crossfit, been to the games 6 times: 2nd, 2nd, 1st, 1st, 1st, 1st This will be his 7th year at the games, his longevity at the top is insane A one man dynasty Best individual competitor ever EDIT: Now officially the greatest CrossFitter of all time
What do the greatest athletes have? Consistent focus and determination over the years. Ability to adjust to meet expectations. Unafraid to die to be the greatest to ever do it. We all refer to it as sacrifice. And it's not just the athletes sacrificing.. it's the families that have to put up with the fact that these guys could come home empty pocketed or not compensated enough. They have to put up with the arrogance, stubbornness and selfishness of these athletes. The only thing that made it worth it was the victories, endorsements and earnings. Other athletes that put in this amount of time and effort that can't beat Mat often put their relationships and all other opportunities on the line.
Quite similarly, Froning went 2nd, 1st, 1st, 1st, 1st. Fraser has won by larger margins most years but Froning won in 2014, which was the only time they competed against each other at the games. Personally, I think they both have very compelling cases for the all-time best individual competitor. Though Froning's team wins probably make him the all-time greatest all around games competitor in my opinion.
@@aaronthegold Anyone who points to 2014 should go back and look at the Games videos, particularly the overhead squat event. Fraser looks nothing like what he looks like today and now is 10x the athlete. Froning is great no doubt but I think you just can't ignore longevity. The mental grind alone year after year is enough to wear anyone out. Numbers don't lie, especially if Fraser wins again.
I had hardware put in my lower back L4-L5 and am currently dealing with the knee bullshit. When you said "I wasnt square. It went my lower back, then my hip, then my knee". I felt like it was me talking lmao. Im glad to see that it gets better. For me its my hip flexor on my left leg that is doing my knee in.
I loved this clip - such powerful footage for people like me still early on our Crossfit journey. Listening to Matt’s words and watching his form, I really enjoyed this! Thanks Craig and Matt. Keep it up! 💪🏻
Rabdo didn't even stop this man. Rabdo nearly killed me. Had me in the hospital for a week. I tore so many things and I couldn't even move, walk, or even talk.
Damn Mat is a beast! Your vlogs has come long way, I would like to see some kind of short movie about your journey to this point. Including all the peeps from zack to froning!
@@larrybird646 why is steroids always the thing to blame... i think some people just work so hard that it makes people feel insecure about their work ethic that they have to try and call everyone else out for cheating
@@HarryManback0 understandable. It might not be for everybody. But really enjoy when the creators now are putting time and quality in! Info on both of these channels are always good
Great to see how Matt talks about "purpose." I couldn't agree more. One has to tackle life with "purpose," or you will be doomed to mediocrity. Thanks, #TEAMRICHEY for all that you do.
@@u04pww2 Problem is this only gets you so far. Havin a purpose, even small mediocre purpose will help you live a personally meaningful life and not be miserable. Hedonism is generally extremely shortlived. Shorter than you or i will live
Always the perfect place to see the Mat's training. Thanks !! I dunno if anyone here agree, i think the best content is always " a full wod session" above anythg else. I usually just put it on, and do the wod at the same time..just to see if i can keep up...BUT..i see the T2B! looks solid!!!
It’s been a while since I’ve done the CrossFit thing, so when I saw Matt the first thing that went through my head was “dang, his chest got super hair, oh wait. That’s a new tat.”
