Garbage Truck Fails Compilation 

Anyone here after getting the garbage truck catches fire recommendation

The truck didn't fail .....people not bagging their garbage and over filling their bins was the actual fail

I wish we had a national holiday for these guys. They literally pick up the garbage our nasty bodies throw out . It would be nice if they had a recognition for their work . Appreciation

THIS is exactly why I never take the garbage out.

The arms that grabs and lift the containers maybe too aggressive or too strong and they look like that the pressure pumped is like 200psi

This is why the collection company that serves the community I live in will not service a toter that the lid will not close completely. They will come back later and will charge extra. That's the rule and people learn quickly when extra charges are involved.

The two that “failed” were overflowed or not closed properly, the one with the lid down worked fine.

The part I'm most interested in is the fact that these garbage trucks use an automated arm controlled from inside the truck. Where I live, the trucks do have arms on them, but the operator has to get out at every single stop and physically hook the bin to the arm, and also the arms don't clamp around the bin but rather slide inside a groove on the front of them. As well the trash opening is low enough to the ground so that if needed garbage can be tossed in by hand. I'm very intrigued by the design of these garbage trucks 😂

In my area if a can is so broken and damaged like that one at 1:46, the truck will just dump the entire thing in the back and replace with a undamaged one

this is literally my brain cleaning my last remaining brain cells.

The only time they actually decide to pick it up is when theyre being recorded. 🤣

There was one time my brothers and I accidentally loaded a bin too full with paper.... the entire bin fell into the truck

As a kid in the 1960s, the highlight of my week was Friday when the garbage truck came around. I still remember the Chevrolet Apache truck with fastback style packer body...

We don't have this in nj where I live... we got beefy men that can probably lift stoves by themselves

I never seen these in Europe, in Europe we have two garbage men riding behind the trucks and dumps it into a crusher thats behind it, we use coloured sorting bags so the sorting machines sort it out in the facility.

In the future, people will be shocked that instead of reducing the amount of trash we generated, we simply automated the disposal of it.

When I was about 4 I first saw the trash men. It was fascinating to watch them work those barrels and trash compactor in the truck. Im 65 and I live in an old European village now. These guys use hydraulics to lift the dumpsters into the rear of an original old round back truck with the compactor. It comes down and grabs the trash and smashes it in. And then, They jump on the rear step and ride to the next stop. I still go out and watch them. Maybe if I hang around enough, they will offer me a ride on the step. I always wanted to cook hamburgers at McDonald's too. Life just goes by too fast!!!!

Most garbage companies require all trash to be bagged. This is why. If that is the case in these videos and I was the driver, it would just be too bad for you, put it in a bag next time.

Cul-de-sacs, anyone designing a neighborhood should have to drive a 37' long garbage truck through them and pick up 100 cans. There'd be a lot less cul-de-sacs in neighborhoods , that's for sure.

Those first 3 recycle cans were so full that he threw tons of recycling from the toter on 0:22 fell on the other side of the truck and he damaged the rihrigs lid they were all pretty funny!

I don’t have those fancy claw trucks where I live. My cousin on the other hand doesn’t even have garbage trucks, he and his family have to burn their trash.

This proves you really need to be careful with that arm on the side, that is one substantial set of hydraulics, not to be played with!

In my country the garbage collection is being done by the city. So we have workers who ride in the back of the truck and get down every time to lift the bins and place them on the hooks. It's so strange to watch automated trucks

Weirdos in my city want to switch to roll carts. They say it will be an improvement over placing trash bags at the curb.

In most of these instead of operator error it appears to be a problem with the bin itself being damaged or the mechanism not properly calibrated. The bins are being grabbed too tightly, pulled up to fast and flipped back down too vigorously. Get that fixed and that solves most of your problems

PSA: Tie your garbage bags, those red draw strings are not just carry handles.

I'm not understanding how this is better than the rear loading trucks that just have a guy riding on the back It's faster than this for sure and with 2 guys on the back they hit multiple houses at the same time

The only fail thing for me is when they don't pick up your trash for 3 weeks but reported it that they did, and you tell that to the clerk and they kept telling you the trash was always picked up. No, it wasn't not!

Stuff garbage trucks don't have to pick up : Broken garbage bins, bins that have too much stuff and the lid doesn't close all the way.

Some things fall/blow out....it's part of the job. That's what wind is for.😏

Most of those are so typical of city of Phoenix trash collection they rush and don’t care that they make a mess or break the containers and sometimes they drop the trash containers off at the next house.

I hope picking up trash in garbage trucks is in GTA 6.

Not sure why most of these are fails. Most of them are stupid owners of the cans putting too much in. In my town, if the lid is open they tag you and do not pick you up. I agree with that.

And mine throws the garbage with the recycling in the same truck, because the town no longer recycles but don't you dare put trash in the recyclable bin...

I wouldn’t sweat it if a garbage truck dropped the trash, most likely happens because people put stuff that doesn’t belong like boxes that aren’t collapsed. It is nice that he did stop and pick it up though.
