I think Butch Vig could make anything sound amazing. He's a genius. Shirley's voice completed Garbage. One of my favorite bands of the 90s. High School me always had Green Day, No Doubt and Garbage in my car CD binder.

Love the way they choreographed the scene in the kitchen between Shirley and Duke with those looks over the shoulders. Great song, nice and catchy, rocky and played wonderfully by 4 talented artists.
It might seem cringy. But at least Shirley Manson seems to be pretty cool and down to earth in interviews. So when you want to adore some kind of rockstar you probably could make worser choices.
One thing I've always loved about Shirley (and there are many things to love about her) is that she likes a lot of the same bands and artists I do. Blondie, Siouxsie & The Banshees and The Pretenders just to name a few. Garbage are a great band, glad to see them still working together and making music. Have been a fan since back in the 90's and continue to love them as the years go by.

Still kind of have a crush on Shirley. She looks tremendously like an Emo iteration of Emma Stone (Emma is my favorite overall) which to me is so consistently attractive, but she's infinitely more than just her good looks. A great person with a glow to her as with being an excellent musician. An inspiration for so many people.

I didn't fully understand when I was 17 because I had not had that serious of a relationship yet, but after years of these conflicts and starting therapy I now know why I feel this song so much!

@@baileymoran8585 Personally I think it's either a new relationship or an old one that's started to lose the spark and thus is driving out her insecurities which is causing the switch between both of these because that's how either of these get when someone's overthinking doesn't mean they have to have BPD or any mental instabilities dude.
A lot of people can't tell how fucking brilliant this video is. First of all, Shirley looks fucking amazing. The black and white to color change, the homage to Blondie (who they got to tour with, what an honor) and the wall that says 'LIAR' in big lettering I think may be referring to a Blender issue that came out earlier that year which had Courtney Love on the cover and in one of the photo shoots had the same thing printed in a sweetheart. Maybe calling out her out almost in the same style as Gwen did with 'Hollaback Girl'. I wish videos today actually meant something
Shirley loves Courtney, they are good friends, Courtney was on Shirley's podcasts recently and you can hear how much she admires her, Courtney even said Shirley was the first to call after Kurt died. Shirley even admits the album title Beautiful Garbage was taken from the lyrics of Celebrity Skin.
Now in January 2020, I look back at 2005 when this album came out. what a time! Helped me so much then and now I look back at the old version of me quite fondly

I used to feel so badass for listening to Garbage when all my friends were listening childish songs. Now I can't remeber when did I become such a part of this system of white shirts and ties.
