Team buffet Going to Vegas next week for birthday. Your channel is incredibly helpful in finding fun food places. Any recommendations for desserts and cake?
Team buffet all the way all day!!! I like a bit of everything and a lot of something that I really enjoy! I'm in heaven if a buffet has a traditional thanksgiving dinner.
Yes, it's difficult having consistently good offerings with every dish at a buffet. But I still overall had a good meal and would still recommend anyone who's coming to downtown and looking for a buffet experience to check it out. Thanks for watching!
This is still a great buffet despite 2 dishes not being the best. I really like it at the Garden Court. I'm a no frills kind of guy so it's my vibe. Thanks for watching!
I vlogged the dinner service a little over a year ago and I enjoyed it! I think the menu is pretty similar from then but could be some differences. Thanks for watching!
Plenty more where that came from, especially as my series in downtown continues! Just so much more value on Fremont than the strip. Thanks for watching!
My Dad and Sister used to love that place. I haven’t been there for many many years . I loved the little round Portuguese sausage they have with eggs and the Hawaiian section. It’s a beautiful place.
Thank you! It was still an overall positive experience. Just a couple of dishes that I didn't enjoy. I still recommend this buffet. Thanks for watching!
So happy plate 3 was a redeemer. Seems like the "kiddie section" is best to be avoided . I'd be interested in seeing the dinner buffet here as well, if you're able to! Awesome and honest review Shin! ^_^
@@VegaswithShin Hawaiian beef stew is usually tomato sauce/paste based with large pieces of carrots, potatoes, celery and meat chunks with dried bay leaves.. some variations add sugar.
I liked the decor as it appears warm, cozy and inviting. I was very impressed with the cleanliness at the buffet area. A lot better than I have seen in other buffets lines. The Hawaiian meal looked delicious and what a nice surprise for the waffle and French toast to be tasty. Thank you as always! Enjoyed the video.
Yes, I really appreciated how clean the stations were. Food halls are becoming the new trend so I think you're going to enjoy the coming changes! Thanks for watching!
I've been watching you for awhile Shin! You're comments on taste, seasoning, makes me cautious of what to get but I'll try it. Love this Garden Court Buffet! Beautiful interior! Love all the food looks so good. Tge over medium egg sounds good, canned corned beef hash I like it, sausage disappointing bland I love spice like you! Potatoes disappointing too. I love French toast and waffles. Strawberry compote and maple syrup. Delicious. I would get scrambled eggs , bacon, French toast with maple syrup!!! Lunch was disappointing to me but I'm glad chicken fried steak saved that plate!!! Pizza I agree need to taste seasoned sauce and crisp colored crust. Have to have butter flavor in the biscuit. WHAT MAC N CHEESE NO FLAVOR? THAT WOULD BE VERY DISAPPOINTING TO ME. THE HAWAIIAN PLATE WAS EXCELLENT I GUESS. The kuloah? pork looked good to me on the buffet, the chicken looked good as well too! Beef Stew looks very good! Yams not a fan but they looked good. My favorites chocolate pudding and banana cream pie!!!! I love all cakes and pies though. Great review Shin. This is a nice buffet clean and food looks delicious!!!
Great review Shin. You had some hits and a couple of misses, but that's probably the case sometimes. Thanks for your honest review, it's always nice when you can truly say if you enjoyed the food or not. Thanks again Shin, I enjoyed watching.
Love buffets! I like the presentation of the foods. Main Street sounds like a great place for the non-adventurous to try. The Hawaiian foods looked the best. 😋
Thanks for the detailed review. It looks like the cooks at the Garden Court Buffet can't cook macaroni. When I was there, the Hawaiian section was my favorite. It's a bit of a disappointing review but I think it's still a good deal if you stay away from the pasta station.
Everything else I had was fine! Still the best waffles and French toast I've had at a buffet in a while too. Overall still enjoyed myself here. Thanks for watching!
😊😊I have eaten at the Garden Court since the 1990s. The only thing that has changed is the price and the fact dinner is served only on Friday and Saturday but the have added prime rib. Only buffet downtown and is still worth the price.
The breakfast plate looked all delicious . The beef stew is so good I love how main street makes sure the Hawaiian dishes remain tasty and well made. Love the review shin❤ Chocolate pudding is life
They get an A for cleanliness and presentation. The food, even though not everything hit the mark was acceptable and not out of character for a buffet. For the price I think they are doing an above average job. Another one well done as always. Look forward to your next adventure.
That chicken noodle soup looked really nice with the fancy noodles. Many of the other items looked good also. Some were obvs not scratch made. I'd try to focus on the scratch made ones (like all/most of the Hawaii section) and many others. Not sure on the biscuits, but the chicken fried steak and the gravy looked like prepared foods that weren't scratch made. Nice video, like to see your smile when something is tasty.
My favorite restaurant in Vegas is McDonald's and I'm not saying that facetiously. But if we're talking about the strip, Bazaar Meats ranks very highly for me. Thanks for watching Ryan!
@@VegaswithShin Mc Donald's ... I will PASS them up for FOOD QUALITY, now PRICE, and employee PAY. TOO, I do NOT like the VERY POOR DEAL the two Brothers got out of the "deal" with Ray Kroc.
@@user-er3ri6sc3j Of course it does. If you're starving and broke you're obviously not going to choose the much more expensive high end Bacchanal Buffet over an affordable choice like Garden Court.
I am so glad I found this video. We'll be coming out for the first time in years next month and Main Street station was on our list for sure. What are difference. The food used to be so good and it looks great and it tastes great and now it looks like 💩😆
There were still good dishes here and it could have just been an off day when it comes to the pasta dishes. I overall still enjoyed my meal. Thanks for watching!
That's the last buffet downtown. For many many years it was the only comps my Mom got so we ate there every time! Decent buffet for the price, but not super delicious. It's pretty amazing how the people of Hawaii have influenced the cuisine choices downtown. Across the street at the Cal is Aloha Specialties. Go get the best won ton min Vegas offers!
How was the sausage patty? I may have missed it. Pizza looked like frozen De Dinero’s. Overall decent I guess. I love chick fried steak and gravy, omg. That one looks good.
I didn't try the sausage patty this time around. Just the round rope sausage and the bacon. I still had a good meal. I recommend this place for anyone staying downtown and looking for an all you can eat option. Thanks for watching!
Good to see the low-end buffets reviewed. This could be a nice alternative to going to some chain restaurant for lunch, however, the value proposition is not nearly as good as it should be. Considering all of this food either comes in frozen or is from a can (including the chocolate pudding), this buffet should *never* be more than $20 for lunch or $25 for dinner. At the prices they are charging, this food is simply not good enough. So NO, this place is not well-worth it.
I'm with you on that. $20 for brunch would feel a lot more fair, but as the last all you can eat buffet in downtown, if one is looking for pure variety and quantity, Main Street does the job. Thanks for watching Mike!
It's the cheapest buffet in the Vegas tourist spaces and you will definitely get full. I like their weekend dinner buffet much more than their brunch. Thanks for watching!
I went here last time I was in LV. The salad station was really good and the apple crepe was amazing. But other than that, I didn’t think the buffet was that good and definitely not worth the money
I am glad someone feels the same way I do! Before Covid, this buffet was good and at a good price. I was there this past Augest for their lunch buffet and it had doubled in price and was by far the worst Las Vegas buffet I had post Covid. I talked to the servers and the seating staff and they said many of their customers feel the same way!
Yep! For the price, I still think this buffet is solid! If you can afford the Wynn buffet though, I'd recommend it 10/10 times over Main Street. Thanks for watching!
I'm 100% team buffet, but it kinda sounds like this buffet wasn't all that great? I have never gone there, and I've been to many buffets, but had it on my list. Maybe I'll put at the very bottom LOLLL :):)
I love the food halls but always go to one really good buffet. When I went to this one, I liked the cornbread, just the cornbread. I am a Wicked Spoon fan!
@@VegaswithShin my brother I am a classically trained chef. And the quality of these two buffets suck. They are just cheap. But I'm going to be honest with you we actually like the brunch buffet that they have every day at the Excalibur. Our Fav is WYNN Buffet st dinner. And seriously if you live Sushi Seafood you must try the Japanese buffet Makino at dinner (omg) my teen daughters as soon as we get to Vegas are like "Dad Makino" lol now I go back and forth living between Los Angeles and Vegas. My daughter was raised eating all kinds of food. I actually know the owner of Makino in the 80s he owned a chain Japanese sushi and seafood buffets in CA. Also we tried Imperial Sushi Seafood buffet and it was good but the Sushi selection was not as big as Makino and after a couple rounds it all tasted the same. But I hear Imperial has a new owner and it's gotten better. So we are going to give it another try soon. But for sure my friend you must try Makino buffet at dinner soon.
@@vegasone yes, I agree that the Excalibur buffet is a very good value! I have not been to the Makino in Vegas but I used to go to the one in Irvine CA once a month or so for lunches years ago and they were good. I'll have to check them out here!
Simple to make foods that did not taste good ..either bad cooks or bad management or cheaply made. What a shame and than they wonder why the restaurant closes
South Point was my go to buffet before I started RU-vid. I was probably there twice a week at least. If I lived closer to downtown, I'd probably be here more often. Thanks for watching!
Liver and onions is an American classic! Very strong iron taste. The mac and cheese was unfortunate this visit. I have to believe it was just that batch. I'm sure it's better other days. Thanks for watching!
