First, thank you for allowing Lyle's personality to shine. He has been more reserved in previous videos. He is clearly one of the unique characters of the garden world. This nursery is a delight. I greatly enjoy your videos, but this is the best, even if nothing from it will survive in my garden.

What a great space. Through failing health we have our farm on the market atm with a garden 28 years in the making, my main wish is someone like Lyle comes in that can maintain and perpetuate our creation💚.

It's so funny to hear the complaining about the bats, to me they make the whole garden WAY more magical! People pay big bucks for their poo over here in Europe, the stuff is like gardener's gold. It's like a magical dreamland from another planet with those glorious bats! Please try to appreciate them, Lyle, because it truly is a very special honour to host them. It is a huge compliment to your garden that they choose to call it home. The garden is lovely but the bats make it out of this world! PS: I always welcome more Lyle and Lyle doings /planty things episodes!

I love the bats too but they do damage their roost trees so there is a down side, not that that would stop me loving them. Regards Stephen

Amazing! In America I think we would call this an arboretum. Many unique specimens and highly curated. Don’t think many of these plants you see every day in a nursery do you? Someone’s “life’s work” so to speak.

I loved the quirkiness of this garden and the clever use of reclaimed objects. I don't think dry climate plants like these particularly like rich soil, but that bat guano should be recycled somehow.

@@thehorti-culturalists It would be fabulous to see it with you. I was in Melbourne in February 2020, just before the world shut down, and like most tourists, toured the Great Ocean Road, so I actually know where Lara and Geelong are, and I have a good sense of the climate there. Wish I'd found you folks on RU-vid before my visit.

my my,,,,, how creative..... a local horticulturist/garden designer here once said,,,,,,, (rather smugly i might add),,,,,, "well, some of us have vision, and some of us don't".......... of course, he was speaking of another designer/nursery owner......obviously,,,, i do not have "the vision".... Lyle is certainly one with the vision and one of the most creative persons i've seen...... that garden must be on the national treasure list... if not it should be......Roraima is now on my bucket list to visit which is going to be difficult to attain since i'm in the southeast US..... thanks for the inspiration........

Pretty much every video I've watched from you guys there has been at least one plant that I have, I want, or I wish I could grow. Not this time. This time it was, "Ooooh, I want big glass rocks! Where can I get big glass rocks, can I get red ones, can I get any colour at all?"... nope, can't find anything like it, but I could buy a furnace and smelt my own glass... yeah nah, not quite worth that much effort. I'll just rewatch the video and dream about big glass rocks.
