I am not surprised they sent these tapestries over here, as there is still, or should I say again, a lot of expertise present here in Flanders, apart from many 'gobelins' themselves of course, in Mechelen, Brussels, Oudenaarde... Many ended up in Spain, having been collected by 16th century kings or emperors (e.g. Charles V). The craft is still practised as a hobby around here these days, often on big looms.

I bet the dirt from it was VERY VERY VERY BLACK…. Flava Flav BLACK!! Read the observations of mankind by Benjamin Franklin and then ask yourself how does the ppl in the paintings at that time… even exist?… it was only 30k of those ppl in the paintings in 1751… So yes!! I agree with her when she describes how BRIGHT the painting is NOW… And I agree on what the DIRT looked like after the bleached out I mean washed the painting…. Keep in mind, they washed a painting with a mist of water… And we believe her 😂😂😂🤢🤢🤢🤮
