thanks for the video...Unfortunately Garmin did not do a Good job with fenix 5 series about treadmill speed reading. You can calibrate it but it does not work. Somehow is a mix of software failure and hardware inability to detect properly your speed through the movement of your arm...I foot pod is the answer...not for a great reading but at least to be slightly connected with your work in the treadmill. :)
Thanks for this video! I've been trying to figure out how to reset the treadmill calibration settings for a while. Your video was easy to follow and it worked.
I did a 4 mile treadmill run. After my run I saved & calibrated . It did adjust my average pace time. However, when looking at the running splits, the did not adjust. It still shows the uncalibrated split times. Is there a way to refresh the watch or Garmin Conenct app to show the corrected split times
I have a Garmin Fenix 5. I noticed that the distance showing while running or walking outdoors is wrong. It always show further distance while I'm sure I ran or walked shorter distance. Please let me know how to calibrate the distance for outdoors activities ?
Well, I should not have done this blindly as it also reset my custom data screens. That's pretty brain dead of Garmin not to offer a way to reset the calibration by itself. Please add a warning that if you do this, it will also reset the custom data screens (at least it does on my fenix 5X Plus)
Did not work for me and my Garmin Fenix 5. After restoring defaults, and completing the three mile treadmill run, the watch never asked me if I wanted to calibrate. I'll be looking at other brands for a new watch with better programs.
