Thanks for taking the time to help us not so tech savvy people out. I just got this watch today and this video will be very helpful figuring out what it does. Thank you so much for your reviews on this great-looking watch. I own the Fenix 3 HR but over the years it has slowed down quite of bit. and I was in the market for a new watch, one that's more responsive quicker and lighter. for the summer hiking and fishing trips. As I've been reviewing more of your videos I can see this watch can be use for more than just fishing and hiking and working out. It also fits perfect in the workplace with all the information it provides. And also the lightweight plays a big factor I will be receiving mine tomorrow really looking forward to it. You have definitely earned my subscribe. And hope you get many more. Keep up with all this great information and thanks again!

@@pedroribeiro9372 I don't use that feature, but I believe you can set it up for a beep alert and/or a vibration. I have used the vibration mode for weather alerts and it will wake you up out of a dead sleep. The vibration is impressive.

Thank you for this review! Someone might have mentioned it, Dog Track works with other Garmin devices, in my case the Astro 430 GPS and T5 collars for your dogs. It allows you to get your dogs information without having to take out your Astro 430, you can see how far your dogs are away, in which directions, and hopefully whether or not the dogs are on point or moving. It's why I ordered the watch, and I'm here to see what else it can do, thanks again.

Great review and walkthrough. Doesn't have it yet hence researching around. Is possible to configure the actual HR Zone (at least 1 - 5 values ... not sure how would it be displayed) in the data fields available for any of the sports and see it while in activity (run, hike, etc)? Seeing it available in the Garmin data fields listing but not sure if can it be set visible all the time alongside with data in other fields during the activity.

From what I reviewed on RU-vid, you need a smartphone with Internet for more features to work. I only have a WiFi only Android, meaning no data plan. Will the phone still work, let's say: hiking and GPS? I'm not doing any mountaineering or scuba diving. Thanks

Very informative and helpful review persuading me to subscribe, However, may I ask a few questions? If they are covered in your tutorials, I am sorry to bother you again. Any regrets or problems since you have had the watch for some time? As an iPhone user would I lose any of the features or have other disadvantages? How accurate are the various readouts? Does the alarm wake you up. Over the years I have had major brand watches and the alarms are useless! I have read of one flaw with the Altimeter readings caused by poor positioning of the port and caused by sweat. Many thanks

Thanks very much for such a thorough explanation.Your review has very nearly persuaded me to buy the Instinct. However I like to set my own target for steps etc. Is it possible to stop Garmin from changing my targets? This would annoy me terribly and for me is a real deal breaker..

Hello! I believe this is possible. I'll make another comment once I do some research. I totally understand not wanting the auto goal. Have you ever tried it? After a little bit you get use to it and it's cool because it will help you improve. It also lowers if you miss your goal so it helps you progress back up if it's been a while.
