GARMIN LILY (latest price) 👉mikeobrienmedia.com/Garmin-Lily Note: The watch can be very annoying to turn on if you don’t have lift to wake enabled. Also, the watch does not give a low battery warning. I was running and it shut off mid-run without warning! We aim to test as many devices as possible to help you make decisions with confidence. Waiting for my new Garmin Lily to arrive. It is the only Sports type watch I have found that wont look ridiculously large on my little wrist and I have been looking for a long time. I also liked the fact it was a Garmin product as trust this company. Thanks for the Video on features.
I got the Lily for my wife for Christmas and wanted to review some of the functionality and benefits to get some advanced insight on the device for Christmas morning. Well represented Mike. Thanks for the review
I'm in love with the design. So pretty. Yes, it's not as feature packed as true smartwatch but the best thing is like my Fossil hybrid watch this doesn't scream "I'm a nerd" on my wrist lol. I don't need another touchscreen on my wrist and hybrid watches have been great for my usage. And tbh most peoples I see don't really use all the extras functionalities offered by smartwatches. Most use for casual exercise tracking, sleep tracking and hybrid watches like this will do those things just fine with perks like way longer battery life and with more timeless style 😎 Just one cons tho, Garmin priced this a bit steep (like all their stuffs) but man this watch sure looks beautiful 🤤
I've just bought one without researching first. Was hoping for step tracking at a glance, but will get used to it. It's better in the sun than my old vivofit 4. Looks lovely on too :-)
I love this but not sure if for the price I am questioning if I want to give up features for about the same price as other watches. But it is beautiful and I love how small it is.
Thanks for the detailed review! I’m honestly considering buying this one. I workout a lot but mostly in the gym. I dont really need a gps and all that barometer stuff so it’s nice that this watch has all the fitness tracking and sleep features.
I'm going to buy this for my wife, so the most important feature is the looks :) where this watch is the winner. Galaxy watch 4 (small version) was the main competitor, but it lost at the battery life (1 day), comparing with Garmin Lily which has 5 days of battery life, so I'm happy with that (I'm not sure if you mentioned the battery life, I might have missed it, but at least this is what I have read).
Again, great review Mike. Thanks a lot. I want to buy a new watch for my mother, but I have doubts between this and the garmin vivomove style. Unfortunately they both have no gps but both look classy. Do you have a preference after using them? My mom is going to use them for daily use and for register a walk. I'm curious which one you would recommend. The new, smaller, Lily or the larger, older and more expensive with analogue hands, the vivomove style. Let me know your suggestion. Thanks!
Keep in mind her wrist size. I tried the vivomove style and really wanted to love it, but the face was the same size or bigger than my wrist. I had trouble putting on coats and cardigans because it kept getting stuck and was just generally uncomfortable. Ended up returning it.
Mike, thank you for this review. I just bought the Lily sport and I absolutely love it. It has everything I need. I loved that you showed how bright the display was in the sun. Ran two 5ks outdoor with it and it's a beauty. I just hope Garmin decides to make a Lily sport version with full functionality! Like an advanced forerunner version.
Jokes on you, I’m neither. I’m the kind of person who watches all the way through because I’m love seeing all the new smart watches and see how far tech has come
So if I’m seeing it correctly, the classic Lily can have either an analog (minute and second hand) watch face or a digital one depending on what you need or want at the moment. Is that correct? I’m a nurse and would like to use digital at work but analog most other times and am leaning toward the classic vs the sport.
In Garmin -> Settings -> (phone/Bluetooth) - can I disable Bluetooth or does it only allow to pair and unpair phone? I am looking for an option to disable Bluetooth completely and only enable it when I want.
Did I miss the battery life? Wife is looking at buying one, loves the simplistic design, it's exactly what she's looking for, but did not want to charge every night. Can anyone comment?
Hi..loved the review on this watch. I can still confused on which smart watch to go for..fossils Julianna 5E, Skagen falster 3 or the Garmin Lily.Which of these three has the best feature and bang for cost? :) Would really appreciate your recommendation, thank you
I really dont understand what all this hype is about for this watch. Im not sure if these are payed comments. My husband gifted this watch from amazon, evenafter charging its not starting, it easily drops all charge we have to charge again to use after 6-7 hours.. it wont turn on dispaly even if we turn our hands several times towrds us. We have to forcefully shake our hands to turn on the watch.. we replaced the watch , and for the new one also.. it shows same issues. Finally we returned it.. And all this for 20k.. unbelievable..
Great video! Considering buying one. Can you tell me if this is the silicone band or leather band on your video? I don't think you specify that unless I missed it. Thanks
Great, honest review and well presented. Thanks to the video I have decided to go for a different watch as it doesn't have a couple of features I'd like. Thank you
It is really pretty and comfortable to wear, it has a lot of different functions, that's why I bought it for my wife, but it was so shockingly inaccurate and so many functions did not work, we sent it back to Garmin to check if it is faulty. We would both go for a walk and not only Garmin was different from my own smart watch, it was different from its own reading the day before. The body battery kept getting stuck at 5, we had to keep resetting it, the swim function does not work without the phone, even though the phone was 200 meters away in the house, and the watch stopped connecting to the phone in the way. I am still waiting for Garmin to respond.
@@Tattrig we sent it back to be repaired, which they claim they did. They sent us another watch, probably a different model, as it was slightly thicker and heavier, but had the same issues, so we just bought Fitbit and my wife is very happy with it
And neither the wake up gesture nor the tap works well, so you couldn't tell the time easily. A lot of people complain about that on the garmin forum. That's why I returned it.
