I've had my vivoactive 3 for 5 years now and it still works like a charm! However, it's definitely starting to show it's age with the battery life, I get about 2 days worth with lowest light setting. That said, I think the 4s would be a great update and big on savings (when it's on sale) Thanks for the review!
This was a very informative and excellent review. You provided the details without all of the unnecessary details. You've helped me make my decision. Thank you so much for the video.
Thanks for the review. I really wish 4s had HRV but it's the better watch for me, so I'll be buying it. Appreciate the details especially both watches on your wrist (ie: I have a very small wrist so small is very important)
I found a widget to show hrv even in vivoactive 3.. It might help? As vivoactive 3 & 4 - as far as i know - both have the hrv, but don't show it separately - only as part of stress measurement
@mihiri80 Hello, that would depend on your watch size preference & the features you want. I definitely prefer the Vivoactive 4S, one of the reasons being the smaller size.
Thanks for the review Abby, very insightful! Is it correct that the Vivoactive 4s is actually thicker than the Vivoactive 5, despite being "smaller" in circumference? Is this noticeable to you?
I think i'll get 4s, as the on sreen workouts are not in 5, and also the gyroscope missing, but hrv & pulsoximeter still in both (if i understood right?)
Hello, if you are looking to track your respiration rate, they both do that well. If you're looking to track your blood oxygen SpO2 they are both sometimes off with the measurements coming up low. I would not rely on using them for tracking your blood oxygen for medical purposes.
Hi, the Vivoactive 5 is made with cheaper lighter aluminum, and thrme Vivoactive 4s is made for more high quality heavier stainless steel, so regardless of the difference in size they weight almost the same, 40g on the 4S, and 36g on the 5 at and feel the same on weight wise in my experience. I do prefer wearing the Vivoactive 4S for the slimmer band and smaller size myself.
