This song reminds me of sleeping in my car because I lost my job and became homeless. I woke up and turned the radio on one morning and this song was on. It made me cry, after weeks of walking every day to find a job, I finally found one. This song gave me hope not to give up. Never give up.

You can see the hurt in his eyes. This man has been through a lot and I think he uses his singing/songwriting to release some of the stress and his songs have so much meaning. He is one of the few singer/songwriters left with that ability.

Yes, I never let a day go by without saying "I Love You" to my beautiful Pamela. She was my better half, she made me a better person and we were blessed that the Lord blessed us with what we had, and our two beautiful kids. The holidays are a real roller coaster, its been just two months and the pain is still there. We are human and that's what we do. Just seen Gary in concert at prairie band casino in mayetta ks, just shortly after my grandfather passed away 4yrs later after my grandmother passed. I was beyond depressed and furious I'll never see em again until it's my time to go, I turned to this song and as Gary said " I wish I could see ur pretty face, I can dream cause life don't work that way" I broke down in major tears. Couple weeks later after the concert I sang this song at my grandfather's funeral and now is a part of me forever ❤️

Just about the whole Tough All Over is about his wife suicide. My fiance died in a car wreck in the spring of 04 right after this album came out. When I found out what happened to him I could feel his pain in every song because I was feeling the same. This album really helped me get through the death of my fiance. The crazy thing is he's the only country singer I've ever seen in concert and it was with her about 3 years before she died.

This song helped me heal after my wife lost her battle with Breast Cancer. I think I had this song and video on repeat for about 3 months straight. It really helped my soul to come to grip with losing her. It's been just over 2 years now and it's still im my heavy rotation. Thanks Gary Allen
