Gary and Guitar = Magic, no need for booty shakes, huge choreography, 50 semi naked dancers, fireworks, flames, Illuminati symbols etc... just Gary and his Guitar.
Belfast man myself, and saw Gary on numerous occasions with Lizzy and with his own band. Have been to the his street in Belfast where he grew up and stood outside his family home. A legend with a talent that will be never surpassed . RIP Gary your are on my playlist every day 🙏
Yes Leonardo Leo.. you're so right. Gary, his guitar, vocals, and fantastic composing ("Still got the Blues" Midnight Bluses" , "The Loner" and so many others) are his heart, soul, mind... his whole being.. they are all Gary.. all are as one. One of my 2 favorite guitarists (also Rory Gallagher) that I respect , admire, and Love. RIP dear Maestro and thank you so very very much for sharing the precious gift of your beautiful music with all of us. XO 🍀🎶🎸🎤💙🌹🍀🍀
Sill miss you, Gary, even though its been years. Thank you for leaving your music for all of us, any of us. We were so lucky to have you for as long as we did!!
Ridiculous. When he breaks into the main solo, it’s like gates of music heaven open up and you’re left in awe, speechless. There are no words to describe Gary’s playing. The way he makes you feel, it’s an experience, not a song.
You are totally right, but Joe Bonamassa did a really good job on the cover of this song. Although, like you said, no one can ever match Gary's passion and sound.
Correct... I hate it when i here Bonamassa did good cover of it.. Sorry not even close.... He cant touch Gary here on this .. Also watch the Montreux version which i prefer...
The irony is he has no sound of his own as he just sounds note for note like Peter Green. The further irony is Peter Green just sounds like BB king. So why do we even bother with these modern blues players from the 60s onwards. It’s better just to listen to the originals pal. The three Kings. That’s all you need. Not these imitations.
Wahrscheinlich das gefühlvollste Stück von Gary gesanglich und auch instrumental. So wir er brachte das noch keiner rüber. 👍. Ich hoffe, du gibst im Himmel Konzerte. 😢.
@@robertneil2538 I know, fan since the 70´s. maybe I used the word version wrong. He played his tune different from gig to gig. Sometimes he longer improvised in the beginning. He varied the tempo to a slower one (Old New Ballads Blues) later on.
OUTSTANDING!! This live version is even better than the one on the CD "Still Got The Blues" which is a super compilation of 12 of his best. I love to be able to watch the artists perform; his facial expressions, the close-ups of his fingers as they fly over the strings.
Such a Great Song From Gary... I prefer the Montreux version , but this is still a great version... Other players have tried to cover it.. But they just cant do it like Gary..
Excellent comments. I feel the same way about being doing cover as good as Gary. I don"'t think anyone can.. Not even Joe Bonamassa.. He was close. His tone and feel is just Impossible to emulate.
Someone please God take this guitar away from Kirk Hammett. It needs to be reserved for Gary Moore and Peter Green tributes. Plus I want the pickups out of it
You are so wrong ..it's perfect the way he played it live... The studio version sound stereo and rehearsed. Live performance provides extended solos that we all love to hear. Gary was the tone master at phrasings in a rock blues format.
