"Tracks" is very catchy and it is surprising that this piece was not released as a single as its melodic approach and its short timing could have been played on the radio and appealed to a large audience.

Hello Justin! Last week I was looking for a song on RU-vid, and accidentally came across different reactions to songs. I never knew these existed until then. Anyway, I started watching reactions to songs that I loved, and you were playing songs by Talk Talk, a band that I fell in love with in the early '80s. I was trying to reconnect with a group of people who are very hard to define. Their name is Heilung, (pronounced High-loong). They are not a band in the traditional sense of the word, and their shows are not just performances. They are rituals that are done on stage, and they are very real. These people sing and speak in many languages, including German, English, Gothic, Icelandic, and Latin, to name a few. They also sing/speak in the ancient Runic, and other dead languages from the bronze, iron, Viking and Dark ages. I would LOVE to see your reaction to any of their live videos. They are absolutely spellbinding as they take us on a primal journey within ourselves and reawaken the memories that have long been forgotten. I've done a lot of research on these people, and they're the real deal. Please, PLEASE, even if you don't broadcast a reaction, listen to and watch some of their live shows. They will NOT disappoint. The video of 'Anoana' that came out in June of '22 is powerful, and the cinematography is breathtaking. Oh. I don't know what, if anything you may not be able to post as far as content, but rituals such as Traust and Hamrer Hippyer may, or may not have bare-breasted women on stage. So, if you want to react to either ritual, that may be something to watch for if you can't post things like that. Anyway, I look forward to watching more of your reactions. I like your laid-back style.

5 seconds of Enola Gay in this Economical sub 3mins Less is more Arty Revolution. He really did shake, cough, theSmashy & Nicey status quo of RockworldFM and I, as a young laddie into Wok, was genuinely peterbed for a few weeks. Disco had faultered, or would soon do so, twas a nu wave of radical social commentary via synths, machinary, and android imagery. Listen to me eh? All pseudo analytical. I was just a kid in love with Judie Tzuke! I've stopped asking for JT, JP! 😁

J.P. 'Hi Ren' just hit 9m in 3 months. He's an independent artist playing 8 mins of art-house guitar/poetry in one take. Every Reactor on the planet has covered it by now. You gotta be curious. Just give it a quick look, be very pleasantly surprised, and gain a whole new audience. I'm only plugging this 'cos I really like and respect your channel.

Every other reactor on the planet hasn't been listening to Eno, Numan, Magazine, Television, King Crimson, Can, Eloy. Just to name a few. I know you say you like and respect his channel. But that's what I like about it. He really listens to things that are not " done to death" by other channels.

These simple tracks shouldn't work, but they certainly do. Well structured, huge sounds, but sparse. You catch these vibes so well.

Great reaction! I was thinking yesterday..what's next? Then I recall that "Tracks" opens Side 2, and I'd not heard it in quite awhile.. another exceptional tune! Always had these on mixtapes back in the early 80's.

Ha! I discovered that about 30 seconds after I made my post. BTW, I've been meaning to comment on how much I get a kick out of the fact that you're listening to all the music I was listening to in high school (graduated in '75). ELP, Mike Oldfield, Renaissance, Joni Mitchell, and Sparks (Sparks, REALLY?) are my favorites. I've seen quite a few reaction videos from people who, while they may be moved at what they hear, don't really have much to say. But you always have something interesting to say. Your comments are thoughtful and right on the mark. Especially about ELP. BTW, that was so cool to see that Keith's girlfriend checks out your videos. I don't usually comment on RU-vid vids, but I have to say "Thank you."@@JustJP

I did some recording at Numas studios, which was inside shepperton studios back in the day. Had a good time talking to Gary and his band "tubeway army". A really nice, down to earth guy. As I was a keyboard player so we chatted about synths for ages. ✌️❤️🇬🇧

Musically, this might as well have been on the first Visage album or on Ultravox's 'Vienna' one 😊 But all those guys were connected in several ways anyway, and I'm pretty sure the snare drum on Visage's 'Mind Of A Toy' is the exact same one also on Numan's 'M.E.' 😄

You can tell that Gary's old band had much more of a hand in the actual music making than Gary cares to admit. Apparently Gary would take long breaks and the band would come up with their own ideas which are on the album. As Gary says in the inner sleeve the band turned basics in to songs.

Hi, I think you might consider the song is about drugs. Think about the lyrics, the soft beginning, the adrenaline’hit’ then the end is the coming down. The lyrics totally reflect drug taking, ‘tracks’ I can have your faces dear you can have mine’ two people taking drugs in sync. Just a thought. I think your version might be a bit innocent?
@lucycorbin2790
@lucycorbin2790 Год назад
The song is about drugs. Tracks - track lines. Think about the slow start the faster & dramatic up tempo adrenaline middle and slower come fine finish. You want you tracks I want your ‘lines’
