I'm white and I played ball. I always used that racist crap as an advantage. I would go ahead an not show my speed when it wasn't going to matter. But I would be lurking close enough to jump in front of that pass for the steal or deflection OR come from out of nowhere to knock a shot out of the sky. The silence in some gyms after my 1st Block of the game from the SHOCK was awesome. I could jump too until after my Junior season. I tore up my ankles that year in 3 different injuries... spent at least 4 weeks of that season on crutches. Then I put on about 40 pounds of muscle and couldn't get that lift anymore. And then about 40 pounds of fat. Now when I tell people where I played they assume I am talking about Football LOL not Basketball. I look like a Offensive Lineman now. Now I REALLY don't look quick. But I still have good speed. I'm like a fast Tank. Straight ahead speed is good. But turns and cuts are dangerous for my health.

Along the same lines of story. A friend of mine who also played ball tells a story a team he was on. The team was Black guys except 1 white kid who was their back up Point Guard or 2 Guard idk. And this kid he could handle the ball great and was quick and could blow past you off the dribble. But he couldn't shoot worth a damn. And as everybody knows the white kid is supposed to be a good or great shooter for some racist reason. So when this kid would come in the game the whole team (his teammates) when this kid would catch the ball on the perimeter would all yell out "shooter shooter". And every time the defense would rush out to contest the shot and this kid would go right past them for an easy layup. Roy (my friend) said this kid probably scored at least 6 to 8 points per game based on the team yelling "shooter" when he got the ball. So basically they used racism to score some easy buckets every game. That kid was NEVER going to hit those open 3's even he knew it. He would only shoot them if it was garbage time. He was just a drive and score or drive and dish kind of player.

Quick and fast are different things from my understanding. Fast is speed done at a distance in a straight line, while quick is stop and acceleration in any direction including change of direction in short distances of no more than 20 yards.

In my current work environment there is a lot of cursing. Ninety percent of it isn't out of anger. It's just part of everyday vernacular. It isn't anybody taking anything. Kevin buys material from other comics. All the big comics buy material from other comics. Because Gary is white he sometimes has jokes he cannot tell in front of an audience. But Kevin can tell them. When you start getting paid like Kevin Hart was getting paid you hire at least 1 writer or you collaborate with other comics. Like... think of Patrice ONeil vs Kevin Hart... if Patrice has a great SHORT joke he should try to sell it to Kevin If Kevin has a great FAT joke he should try to sell it to Patrice (although he's dead now... but whatever). Kevin gets so much work and is so busy doing all of the Public Relations stuff and the bad room contract stuff he doesn't always have time to write his own jokes anymore. So he has writers that come up with stuff OR they help hammer out some ideas Kevin has that he doesn't have the time to perfect on his own. And those writers are often other comics. If we didn't have so much access to video today you wouldn't even know that some other comic used this joke. Hell... Kevin could have even written some of Gary's jokes for Gary or at least help Gary fix some jokes. Because Gary used to be bigger than Kevin Hart at that time in the past. Gary was never as big as Kevin is NOW. Just saying he was bigger than Kevin was THEN. I don't know if Kevin did write for Gary... just saying he COULD have. 1 of these jokes might be a Kevin Hart joke OR 1/2 way written by Kevin.

And most of the JOKES never happened. That is just funny stuff they thought of OR some writer thought of. It is SHOW BUSINESS not the Lifetime Womans Movie Special of some womans life. It's Comedy. The jokes just have to be funny. They do not have to be true at all. Don't believe everything in show business is TRUE. You don't get to the TOP like Kevin did by only talking about your life. Nobody's life is funny enough for all of that material he has. Not without making some stuff up. Not without some help from writers.

@@marleyjanim5033 No links. But yeah I have done some Stand Up and I have several Comedians as friends. Some Professional and some Amateur. I really need to start doing it again but I never can find the time. I still even write a few jokes every now and then. I've only been recorded 1 time and it is only on VHS I think. My problem is I am good at so many things and they all require me to be available at the same time... and they divide my attention too much. It makes it so hard to get GREAT at anything. I am too indecisive on which way to go. I Act, Sing, Dance, Play Guitar and Saxophone, Write, Direct, Choreograph, Teach Stage Combat and I WAS an up and coming Referee until I tore my ACL. Was just starting to break through. If I can drop some weight I might go back to that but I just can't seem to get back in that kind of shape again. Ref's don't get subs and the players are all in their PRIME while we get older every year. IDK that part of my life might be over for good.
