Met him in Iraq when he came to visit. I quoted him from Forrest Gump "my name is LT John and it is Not my destiny to die on the field with honor" we laughed and hugged and I got a picture with him. He is a great guy 100% . God bless him.

Sir, Thank You for having him on your show!! I personally had the privilege of meeting Mr. Sinise in 2007 In Anaconda, Iraq when my unit had to stay to be part of the surge. He happened to be at the mess hall when I came in for chow and it was the best part of that week.

Gary and the Lt. Dan Band came to Germany when my husband's unit was deployed to Afghanistan. He put on an awesome show and stayed after to meet people. He was so polite and positive. Thank you, Mr. Sinise. I hope you know just how much it means to the soldiers and their families that they are appreciated and not forgotten.

Ben is one of the best interviewers ever. He actually lets the interviewee finish their response and thoughts, and is genuinely interested in hearing their response and even expands on it. Even when he disagrees with them, he respects their thoughts and right to disagree. This is something lacking in nearly all forms of modern communication. Thank you, Ben, for having this genuinely good guy on your show.

Thanks for the video with Mr. Sinise. Truly a class act. I’m a veteran of Vietnam and I remember vividly how people recoiled when they found out you had been in Vietnam. In 1969 my draft lottery number was 35. I had no choice in the matter. I spent five years in Iraq and Afghanistan and had the privilege of being embedded with many amazing young soldiers. My exposure to Agent Orange has taken its toll on my body and as I lay here this evening sick and weak from chemo treatments I feel blessed for my experiences with the American military Thanks to people like Mr. Sinise from the bottom of my heart.

I really envy the USA of it's pride in it's troops. I am a German and I served for about 2 years in the German military. Every time a civilian saw me in the uniform, they treated me almost like a criminal. I am studying Politics and History now and at the university I experienced a lot of hate against the military and against myself, after they found out that I served. Greetings from Germany.
@maybetoby
@maybetoby 5 лет назад
@@RevolverOcelot-ym9qj oh I've still experienced hate from other Americans. I got called a baby-killer once. It didn't bother me cuz that person was an idiot.
@RevolverOcelot-ym9qj
@RevolverOcelot-ym9qj 5 лет назад
@@maybetoby Thanks for the answer. I heard about that babykiller nonsense and that you also have people who hate the military. But what I miss here in Germany, especially during my time in the Bundeswehr, is the support of the people. Our soldiers are serving in Afghanistan, Mali and in the waters of Somalia. The left media doesn't report about that and the people think about soldiers as bloodthirsty war mongerers, especially at the universities. So I really appreciate people like Gary Sinise, who is also popular here in Germany, who support the military.

@BobBilheimer
@BobBilheimer 5 лет назад
@@Jlang-es9lc yes, it is perfectly fine to skip through commercials. That's why TiVo was invented. However, the reason and amount those companies pay Ben is based on the potential of his audience paying attention to the commercials, and therefore buying the product.

Appreciate Mr Senise profoundly. Also appreciate Ben allowing him to expound uninterrupted at length to a very interesting life in all humility. A wonderful American and true supporter of our military. His comment of most films presenting the Vietnam Vet in a negative light is so true and a major reason why Vietnam movies do not interest me. Always seeing portrayals of mentally unbalanced, drug addicted or alcoholic, violent vets gare so tiresome and an insult to the majority whom came home to live out their lives successfully and fully.

I am studying Politics and History now and I'm looking forward to work into foreign affairs. As a conservative I'm also about to become involved into the CDU party in Germany. I really can't stand the pc millenials and SJW at the campus, who condemn everything that's military. They are looking down on the brave men and women, who are in Afghanistan, Mali and in the waters of Somalia, and risk their lives for the fight against terrorism, and that is just wrong. People like Ben Shapiro give me the confidence to carry on. Greetings from Germany.

By the way, thank you for interviewing some Christians. I would not consider John MacArthur to be reformed, but he is a Christian celebrity in our generation. It was very kind of you to give him a voice to visit with you. It is not common for celebrity personalities like yourself to give them a voice since they are not often "major" celebrities like evangelicals and roman catholics voices in our generation. If you look into the true history of the Christian religion and her visible history, you will see that practically all (not absolutely all, but practically all) our freedoms were born in reformed, protestant Christian roots. The first Jewish Apostles and Disciples were original Protesters against the established Jewish church as you may or may not know, or agree with, but in the simplest sense that is truthful. Then came Protestants voices such as Jovinianus, Vigiliantius, Ærius, , Sarmatio, Barbatianus, etc. in the late 4th and 5th centuries against the early Roman Catholic "established" church. You know the rest of Protestant history from here, I assume. Freedom, separation of church and state, right of self defense, do unto others as you would have them do unto you, love your neighbor as yourself, honor and glorify only one true God, never force any man into your religion, etc. All protestant Christian principles that seldom get a voice in the media. Thank you for giving us a voice!
