Been looking for a way to paint match an after market part without leaving my car at the shop for days. This helps knowing I can easily give them the cap to color match but still be able to use my car. 👌👌
@killacuz3 - paint code is only the first step. It will not match if you don't give them a sample. Even same factory paint jobs on same paint codes don't match on different days. Each batch of paint can vary ever so slightly. Paint shops use spectrometers costing around $13k... a device that photographs you sample and spits out the exact pigment amounts according to the paint brand you have calibrated it to work with. Different paint brands use different pigment types to achieve their colors so there will be variations if you don't use the device.
Forgot to put the gas cap back on while filling. When I got home, somehow the fuel tank cover was missing completely. Now I know it's a joke to replace it--thanks!
