Gate Hinges and Lockbox Info & Tips | JIMBO'S GARAGE

Hey Jimbo, thanks for sharing this video. The one detail that has been missing from your gate builds, or at least I have never seen it, is the detail for the latch on the side post. Are you just cutting out for the latch and installing the striker plate? Any recommendations or suggestions? Thanks

I've used their hinges and lock boxes for at least 6 years now, never any issues, just don't lose the ball bearing in the larger hinges!

Interesting thought about "building the lock box into the frame" i always build the frame and notch out for the lock box...

Any suggestions on self-closing hinges?

Have the same question, how do I cut out hole on post that lock goes in? Any suggestions?

Jumbo do you weld top of hinge (oil end) to the post or gate door? Idk if it matters as long as consistent.
