@@aleks2703 consistently hitting moving tank sized targets center mass was already hard enough at the time, so almost certainly not intentional, tank commanders catching head wounds of different severity was quite common however as they always gambled with the risk of catching shrapnel with the possible reward of hearing or seeing surroundings better.
PotentialHistory does a good video breaking down why this scene is terribly unrealistic, but in summary: 1. It made no sense for a single tank platoon to be traveling by itself, without other tanks or supporting infantry. 2. The Tiger should have shot Fury first, being both at the lead of the column and equipped with the better gun (high velocity 76mm). 3. Fury was capable of taking out the Tiger the entire time (again, HV 76 mm) and there wasn't really a need for the entire platoon to charge. 4. The Tiger had absolutely no reason to advance. 5. None of the tanks should have fired while moving. 6. No way in hell Fury bounces the shot off the logs. 7. Again, Fury did not need to hit the Tiger from the rear to take it out.
@@BleakwoodProductions It's a great movie, and its message is one worth telling: "Ideals are peaceful; history is violent." (and human beings are their agents.) It does not need to subscribe to inaccurate and ahistorical myths about tank combat in WW2 (largely perpetrated by Nazis) to tell it.
As a WW2 enthusiast, this video brings me both joy and infuriation (the infuriation on part of the movie than your video) Regardless, don't let 🤓 like me stop you for doing more WW2 stuff though.
Always love the reactions, glad to see them keeping up I will leave the battle of Hardhome from GOT as a suggestion, even if it isn't modern stuff it is still something I think may be interesting Edit: auto correct saw hardhome and changed it to handsome I hate my life
for anyone wondering: yes at 4:15 the sherman should have die but the movie decided to pull a plot armor on us and the dumbest tiger tank crew (they were hidden and with a perfect angle that allows to bounce every shot they could have just move to get out of the smoke and then just go for the kill) (also for them those ARE tank or iron elephants if you want just older then current ones)
funfact:the tiger they fought is THE last fully working tiger tank from the second world war the museum that had it said to the movie crew/producers/director they got 24 hours with it one that time was up that'd disable it again. making the gun unable to use rounds removing its engine so on.
I just realized the commander who ate an 88mm to the face, got a round that ricochet off the ground into his face. Although to be fair I get a really iffed when the Easy Eight's 76mm ricochets off of the flat front plate of the Tiger at what looks to be less than 500m, that round has enough velocity to go through not bounce like that. And yes Fury is supposed to be an Easy Eight.
I was referring to their reaction, not the actual turnout of tank on tank fighting during the war. If you watch Rory, she smiles when the Tiger goes down, but she goes wide-eyed as we see how many tanks they lost taking down the tiger.
Loved the video @~Eriana Foster~! Can't wait for the next video Girl! I, For all of Hollywood's Streotyping, Loved seeing "FURY" since it had a lot of my Favorite Late-War World War Two Period Equipment like the M4A3E8 "Easy Eight" Sherman (FURY) or the M4A1(76mm) Sherman and even the Mighty Tiger I E Heavy Tank. Truth be told though, The Tiger is actually the Only Tiger Tank in the World that's in Running Condition. It's known as "Tiger 131" and is at the Tank Museum in Bovington, Dorsetshire. Simple History has a video dedicated to Tiger 131 on their Channel if you want GATE and Cold Star to react to that.
A tiger one is the most unlucky thing to run into if you’re in an M4 Sherman the tiger one can engage a M4 Sherman from kilometers away with its long 88 mm gun and the Shermans only having 75 and 76 mm guns is 76 mm is capable of penetrating the tiger ones armor from Ranger but is still vulnerable to other heavy tanks such as the king tiger an upgraded version and completely different model of the Tiger one but it’s it was made to replace the old tiger one is the tiger one head squared armor unlike sloped armor but the tiger 1 was still a big danger
Exactly the problem of this scene is Exactly that. Why the tiger is moving to them instead then moving backwards using the reach advantage or standing in his huding spot? Regardless is a cool scene and maybe is to show Germans boldness or desperation as they were loosing the war.
The Tigers front armor is about 100mm thick the Fury tank was a 76mm Sherman which could destroy the Tiger from the range they first started the fight the movie plays of the myth of you need 4 Shermans to kill 1 Tiger which is utter nonsense!
Well given when fury supposed to take place I don't thing the jumbo was made yet so it's probably just the standard three stranded Shermans and a 75 for tiger hunting
The reason why the shells are making such a loud noises because they’re piecing the sound barrier and make it a loud whistle because they penetrate it through the sound barrier or maybe I am completely wrong and I’m just being stupid
You know i just relaized something...that Tiger tank got his Fury moment. What i mean is they stopped the advance of an entire tank squad and destroyed 95% of it alone. If Germans won the war we would have got a movie about them. Now im not rooting for nazi i was just doing a consideration that yeah when our protagonists do that we cry but those germans soldiers basically did the same thing and sure they are nazi but not all germans soldiers were SS fanatics some just wanted to serve their country.
The tiger one in this movie is actually the first real tiger to be on set well maybe not the first because the first movie that featured the Tiger one a real one was in there is glory this tiger tank was captured in north Africa by the British this thing took a real beating taking multiple rounds from British Churchill’s and not doing anything till they were able to disable the gun and the turret ring the crew had the bail out but forgot to destroy Tiger 131 every German tiger commander was ordered to destroy the tiger tank if it was either immobilized or completely destroyed
3:25 That shot should've honestly pierced, but it was at an angle soooo. It's just that the Tiger 1's turret armor is dog water and the two 75mm smooth-bore M4A1 Shermans could've shot the nice and flat turret cheek armor of the Tiger and pierced. But, idk why the M4A1 Shermans, with short-barreled and smooth-bore guns got more accurate shots than the M4A3E8 Sherman with the long-barreled and rifled 76.2mm. The 76.2mm gun even has a muzzle brake to control the recoil better! Hollywood. Nothing you can do about it. (sorry for the whole essay lol 😆. I also figured out the Tiger 1's frontal turret armor varies between 80-100mm. The gun that the M4A1 Shermans had were the 75mm M3 guns, which could pierce 102mm of armor from 100 meters away. In the movie it seemed like the last 75mm Sherman was only a few meters away from the Tiger before it got killed.
Could you make them react to the song Rylanor’s last stand there is a music video we’ll kinda of it it’s a very beautiful song I’m sure people would love it
No, tanks were designed to be hardest to kill from the front. So the front is always the strongest. The scene, will cool, makes no sense tactical wise. Fury should have penned its armor 30 seconds ago, the tiger had the better spot so it rushing forward makes no sense. If anything, the tiger just made winning 5 times harder. Plus the commander of the tiger wouldn’t have done that.
Realistically speaking the Sherman's would have lost and theres no chance the Germans would have untrained crew in a fucking tiger also while the Sherman shot 2 shells the tiger didn't even shot ones I mean wtf was the German crew doing and the tiger would have never came out of the bush seeing that the the Sherman's had the gun to penetrate their frontal armour
As much as I HATE this movie that is just full of "MURICA" bullcrap and shows the Germans as stupid (Panzerfaust boi not shooting when almost kissing the tank, Tiger being DUMB and not shooting the Firefly first AND MOVING FORWARD INSTEAD OF USING ITS RANGE ADVANTAGE, a WHOLE SS BATALLION NOT MANAGING TO TAKE DOWN AN IMMOBILIZED TANK.....), the reaction is pretty solid, the detail of Rory smirking during a "normal" gunfight compared to the tank fight instead is great
The lead American tank wasn't a Firefly it was a M4A3(76)W which is an American tank built in America given to the British (also used by the US Marines) the reason the Fury tank is British is because of it's engine using a different fuel type a fuel type that only the British used I'll try and find a video on it!

@@erianafoster yeah yeah I got it wrong but it not very easy to tell all of the Shermans apart there’s this guy called Eta320 who knows ALL of the Sherman type it’s kind cool!
That Tiger commander was very stupid. He could easily take out a;; of those Shermans without leaving his position. He gave up his advantages of armour and firepower. Americans do not make good war movies.
