What i learned from this: Switches - each has their own sound. Keycaps - basically all sound the same

Out of all them I prefer the yellow Gateron switches. They have this nice mushy sound, but I kinda hear the spring when letting go which I wouldn't enjoy. Maybe with a different keycap I would enjoy them much more. As for the other switches they have a subtle sound difference in tone.

Any plans on producing more optical switches? Really enjoy the Blues and the Blacks, I was thinking something clicky/tactile at 45±15gf... like a 'clicky red' (I hope I'm using my terms correctly here).

This video is the reason when I got my first mechanical keyboard I got gateron yellow optical switches, Fell in love with them at first sound to be honest

I have the Gateron Browns, my current favourite switch. A bit surprising as I've had a TON of different switches and all of them are for me worse than the Gateron Browns. I have them in my Keychron v8, modded with 55g springs and they sound different then in this vid. They're pretty quiet. What I love most is the high actuation and the smooth travel after. I keep trying out new ones to see if they're better than the plain old 'boring' Gateron Browns but so far Gateron keeps coming out on top. :-) Switches I've tried are: Kiwi BobaU4 62g clear Zealios v2 62g (the worst I've ever had surprisingly considering it's reputation) Drop Holy Panda (1st batch) Aliaz Silent 60g Switches that I've ordered but not yet delivered: Kailh Polia LCET blue pink

Honestly, gateron green is the loudest amongst all of them, i compared them to blue switch and yes it was indeed the loudest

im using the blue currently and they are way louder than i though they would be

Question here: are green switches too hard? I ask that because I type like an angry 1920's typist so every other switch I've used seem mushy to me (except blues, but it sounds like a machine gun when I type in them)

Red is similar to Brown, Blue is similar to green, Yellow is similar with White and Black but my favorite is Red! 🔴

For me, the gateron switches are just better versions of cherry mx switches. _Change my mind._

I'm getting very confused on which switches to buy (so many options). I have the keychron V6 with red switches and they're too quiet for me. From this video, i love the yellow, balck and white. I like clicky/tactile and I don't know what to buy. This is my very first mechanical keyboard, btw

Does anyone else find the louder clicky sounding ones to be a bit therapeutic or is it just me? I prefer blue switches when I type, regardless of what I'm typing, be it an essay or whatever.

I got apex 7 with red switches. They are so easy to click. Should I get black? I don't want them se clicky like blues.
