I have been using Rada knives for 50 years. They are wonderful. I think I have every knife except the first one you mentioned. I absolutely love their tomato knife.

I know right!I think it’s a brilliant thing to do too. I remember when all the kids were home, she spent all day cooking for the week..I mean sure it makes for a rough one, but the reward is great. All that time throughout the week that’s freed up for family time, schooling stuff or what have you. She got me into it yrs ago from time to time, love it! My problem was I didn’t have enough freezer space, plus having an old fashioned fridge..not a lot of space in general. Speaking of fridges, just got a new one, Omgoodness…can’t believe what I’ve been missing!! Mine is just basic but the space is so nice!

If you ever need a dairy free cream I highly suggest making cashew cream. It's literally just cashews and water in a blender, you can blend any nut or oat with water to make plant milks also, I save so much making my own.

The clear cutting board sheets at Dollar Tree are great shelf liners for you refrigerator, They come 3 to a package. Then when something spills, as it invariably will, you'll only need to take the shelf liner out and clean it rather than your whole refrigerator. They are easy to cut down to any size. I think it took 2 liners for each shelf and I needed to cut them down to fit better in my drawers, Blessings, Janell.

Good morning Amy. I love ❤ my Rada knives, all I use. I've had mine since the 90's when our church ladies auxiliary sold them as a fundraiser. That cooks utility knife is my favorite. Be careful, they are VERY sharp. I cut myself the first time I used the tomato slicer. Yes, wash by hand & don't leave them sitting in the dish water & they won't discolor. And made in the USA 🇺🇸. Yeah!!

Yessss the RADA knives and the sharpener are FANTASTIC and affordable!! I will never use another and they last a lifetime!! The sharpener doesn't look like much but GET IT....it works! Can you tell in passionate about my knives 😂

When I need dairy free cream of mushroom soup I do one of two things: either use mushrooms I have on hand and make it with oatmilk and thicken with flour. Or use store bought mushroom soup stock and mix in some oatmilk and flour to thicken it up. Sometimes you can find it in the store but not very often. First version also works for cream of celery as well.

One more step would even make your bread more nutritious! If you started with wheatberries, mill your wheatberries into flour! If you use it within three hours of grinding it, it keeps its nutrients! I learned this from Sue Becker (Breadbeckers)!

Dairy free cheese melts best when on the bottom of things so it's near the sauce or mixed in with sauce an doesn't get a weird crispy texture. You'll notice some brands melt easier then others .

Fairlife makes a lactose free cream, it's not the heavy cream but 10% and I use it and love it as I am allergic to milk as well.

I need new knives! Almost all of mine have disappeared. I have come to the conclusion that I have accidentally thrown them away when I am cleaning the kitchen and they get hidden under trash. I have done that with silverware so I am almost certain that is what has happened. Im going to check these knives out! I pray you have a blessed weekend!

The dairy free cheese does melt, it takes longer to melt than dairy cheese. If you can find the shredded dairy free it melts a little better.

I'm on a more carb free diabetic friendly diet so I have a question about the gnocchi soup Is it something that would be good with more meat / broth and no gnocchi ? Anything made with flour and potatoes must be avoided, but this looks so good! What do you think? Can it be adapted or would it totally be ruined?
