I decluttered my handbags a couple of years ago, and right now I have a summer bag, a winter bag, and a small bag my daughter gave me for my birthday in June. I used to have a bunch. Now If I buy a new one, it's because one of them wears out!
I got my ticket and I am decluttering the lazy Susan cabinet in my kitchen! I am at the age where I have been feeling lately that I want to just get rid of almost everything and start over 😂 I know that isn't reality though. I remember that bag and when you leather painted it!! It has held up nicely! I always thought it looked better blue 😆 I have my lol in the washer as I watch. That is a fabulous bag!
I’m not too much into handbags, I’ve only 2 , from leather and cotton, most of the time I’m wearing a small backpack. I’m not feeling like decluttering, but I can do it anyway, right? I’ve already decluttered two bags of books and will bring them to the open book case.
I appreciate the time you take to get involved with your viewers and always inspiring us to be better. Even when you're feeling dimmed by grief, you're a bright light.
So admire you Diane. Although you are in the midst of grief for your lovely Mum, you are still encouraging us with your positive attitude and sound advice about caring for our homes, and ourselves. So love your videos, a highlight of my day. Many, many thanks.
Oh Diane 🩷 At this difficult time of your life and in the midst of your grief, you are still here, showing up and motivating us. You are an absolute inspiration ✨ I've just cleared out my kitchen cupboards thanks to your cheerleading. Thank you for everything you do xx
I admire your positive spirit, Diane. Even in the midst of grief, you are here to encourage us and declutter. Thank you for pouring so much out for us, and thank you for letting us walk alongside you. You do your sweet Mum proud!
Hello Diane….this can be a difficult week for me since my husband died five years ago on the 31st. Well meaning family always checks in with me. So I’m diving into some decluttering and self care. I started an Elly Griffiths book yesterday and I made a breakfast date for Wednesday and dinner out on Saturday. Continuing my evening walk and daily exercises. Every little bit helps.🌻
A bit behind this week, just catching up on Monday's video now! I put a lot of handbags away in the attic during lockdown when I wasn't using them, the fact that they are still there maybe means I don't need them at all! Today tho was a sort thro some of the clothes drawers, a lot of old tshirts that are beyond done now going either for rags or to animal charity that's always looking for bedding. And a stack of jeans on probation to see if they actually fit! I also remember very well that feeling of disconnecting, drifting in and out after my own mother passed 5 years ago - its still all very recent for you, so only to be expected! Look after yourself, grief takes a heavy toll mentally and physically ❤
Dear Diane, my days are so much brighter with you in my life. Thank you for keeping us motivated and moving us forward. You are such a blessing to us and I am already looking forward to our next time together. I got my winter accessories out to declutter with you.🥰
“If it doesn’t move, I’ve leather painted it.” … that made me laugh out loud 😅 I’m sitting down from a rest from housework with a candle and a cup of chai tea - hygge time. You’re an inspiration. ❤
Dear Diane… grief brain is very real. I’m so glad you’re taking good care of yourself. Thank you for all that you do for us, the daily inspiration, and good energy! ❤
So sorry for your loss. I bet you're glad you got to spend her last days together. Thoroughly Modern Millie! Great movie. ❤ Love your Grans bag. It's beautiful. Thank you for sharing all your tips. I greatly appreciate and use them. Best wishes for continued success. Take care.
You are so cute with all of your enthusiasm and encouragement, even while grieving the passing of your mother. I love your videos, and I’ve already registered for the conference!
Dear Diane, I lost my mum in March 2021. That very year I think it was that you posted a lovely short video for Mother's Day in the city of Copenhagen, including those viewers who'd lost their mothers. To this day I remember how comforting that was - it felt like a warm hug. I hope you will always enjoy the memories you got to make with your mum and that you feel how important and appreciated you are by "us". By the way, because of following you I was able to buy t "Thoroughly Modern Millie", which I remembered watching on TV in Austria probably in the 70ies .... but without a title I hadn't been able to find it until you mentioned it. Thanks again for that as well! Love, Elisabeth
So sorry about your mum Diane. Always hard to lose our mothers. Sending my condolences to you and your family. So glad you're back and helping us to declutter again.
Great to see you back! I lost my dad seven years ago. It took me some time to get past the sudden moments of grief. Now the moments bring more smiles of remembrance with just a touch of sadness. Mom is 88 with dementia and lives far from me. I am grateful for whatever time we have left and that she still knows me. I will miss her deeply when she passes. My condolences dear Diane. As you teach, leaning into routines and practicing self-care do help see one through hard times. ❤
Thank you Diane. I've got my free ticket 🙂 I'm in the midst of a serious health diagnosis, your videos, a bit of mild decluttering and some self care will get me through, I hope. Sending love, take very good care of yourself x
This morning I helped my husband declutter and organise his books. In the beginning it was hard for him to let go of some books, but then he was happy with the result. Thank you Diane for your motivation! 🎉💛
My mum and brother died in March. My mum was almost 99 so between them the house was full of “stuff “. It’s taken all this time for me and my sister to clear the house and sort through everything. I am 75 so I’ve been de cluttering so my kids don’t have so much to do when I’m gone.
Dear Diane, It is so good to see you moving forward and going strong. I used the time today to sort through handbags and jewelry (I have one backpack, one bigger handbag and one small handbag, but i am astonished, how quickly things get trapped in there and how frequently I have to clean them out!) Best regards from Germany and I am looking forward to seeing you soon.
I always love a good vintage bag, especially one from a "dd" relative. What a gem! Also love ur white leather crossbody fanny pack. ❤ u have great taste my dear! Always love ur outfits too! Today's is no exception. 🎉 cheering u on as well dear Diane! Loved the ASMR 😂❤
I have a daughter in the hospital now, so I’m trying to keep calm. I decided to watch your video and paint my nails tonight for self care ❤ Thank you Diane 😊
Thanks so much for your inspiration, Diane. I spent a few hours decluttering and cleaning our balcony today...a project I've been putting off for way too long! I found myself really looking at each item and asking questions like you do---and in the end I only wanted to keep a few things. It was so freeing! Asking, "What would Diane do?" has become part of my decluttering process! Love it!
You´re so sweet and inspiring, Diane 🥰 Looking forward to your decluttering videos - I will absolutely be working along with you. I have decluttered more than 300 things this year already!
Diane you're such a joy and you're always thinking of others, so appreciate your encouragement, especially as you're going through grief. My self care was buying myself some flowers today. 🎉🎉🎉
Oh Diane, all the wrong things over 40s are just what is right about you. I love your natural videos. Sometimes you are dressed the part, sometimes you are tired or emotional, sometimes just ready to work at home or straight from the swim....❤🎉 Real people making real content is what I love about you.❤🎉
Good morning Diane I just want to say your top of the hour method is really helping me at the moment I had a fall I'm fine but a bit sore but thanks to you still getting things done loving the decluttering videos take care ❤❤
Diane, you are amazing. I have been following your channel for years before you changed your hair styling 😂😂😂 . Love you, you are a ray of sunshine. Watch you in the morning before the start of my day. Such inspiration!!!❤❤❤
Hello Diane, today I’m decluttering in the garden 😀. Trying to make things prettier out there by weeding, sweeping the paths and dead heading the flowers 🌷🌼🌺🌻🌸
Thank you for sharing your continued thoughts and love of your mum. My mom loved Thoroughly Modern Millie too, we affectionately called her Muzzy like they did Carol Channing's charactor! That sparkly beaded bag is gorgeous and fun at the same time!
You're so inspiring and real Diane. Thank you for reminding us about self care. I struggle with my health and some days it's hard to move. I ordered the course and am looking forward to it!
I’m so excited about this decluttering session! I have been sick so a little behind on videos but so excited to be feeling better and getting started this weekend on this past weeks video for decluttering ❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉
Thoroughly Modern Millie was the only film I ever remember going to at the cinema with my dad when I was a girl. I think he had a crush on Julie Andrews! In fact that could have been why I was named.
My self care today was to take my tea and a book and spend a couple of hours just reading. It was bliss! Then I got up and decluttered a bit of stuff that I had saved for travel and after five different destinations found myself not using them at all.
I decluttered my purses before traveling to see my daughter. I sent her a picture of a beautiful Coach bag that I decided to give up after putting it on probation. ( I learned about putting things on probation from you.😉) Hooray, she wanted it for herself and I was able to pack it in my suitcase and deliver it to her! Thank you, as always, for the inspiration! 🦋🦋🦋
Thanks for answering my question. I usually watch your videos in the evening, before bedtime and the following day I work on the area that you suggested as I like to concentrate on the video. However, I did manage to declutter 2 small purses and a cosmetic bag today. Probably can declutter several more in the future but always think I should keep them "just in case". Love Granny's 👛 purse.
Enjoyed your chat about the hand bags; I gave away a few today. I think I have a few more to give away. Will have to look into the tickets for the organization conference. Sounds really useful. Your mum always looks happy in all of your photos. I think she really knew how to enjoy life!
I came to my closet to go through my bags with you. Won’t take me long as I just did a closet semi purge a few months ago. So I decided to file my nails while I watched your video~great minds think alike. Off to those bags now💖
Diane, I always fill my empty purses with tissue paper to keep their shape. I notice you don’t do that. Thanks for all the time you spend helping us get organized. I love your videos!
Hi, Diane, haha: thank you for the ASMR lesson, it’s a lovely bling bling noise🤩! I know this 'ball of porridge' feeling oh so well… and I’m teaching me to have patience with myself. Seeing this blue leather bag I noticed how long I’m following you already… I’d like to know the favorite movie of your mom, didn’t understand the title, love old movies the most📽. Love and patience, Monika❣
Beautiful vintage bag, Diane! I already did handbags quite awhile ago and Zone 5 is more or less decluttered here, so instead, I cleaned the big sliding door's tracks in the living room while listening to you today. They were super-gunky and took the whole 15 minutes to get done-yuk! Got my free ticket 😀Your videos are always a help; thank you for continuing them 💙
5 m windows in living room done woo hoo, thank you so much for your permanent support. Donated a carload of stuff last week. I wish you a lot of strength in Edinburgh. Greetings from cologne Andy
Thank you, wonderful to see you back and now I know what zone I’m in. Yay! I really appreciate all the effort you put into this channel to help your viewers keep organized, I have learnt so many new ways to organize but especially how to properly declutter. Not sure where ir how to find the other youtube thing you mentioned at the end. Enjoy your week.
I got my ticket for the conference, thank you. My self care today was to cut some sunflowers from the garden. I put them in one of my favourite vases in the kitchen. It was very windy so I sort of felt like I was rescuing them. I’m going to put away some of my bags and see you next time ❤
You amaze me, i lost my father July 31st, I've been an emotional wreck off and on. Thank you for being such a bright light and inspiration for me. I love this blouse on you and would love to know where I can find it. You have the best style! Thank you Diane! ❤
As always you inspire me to get up off my bahooki and get moving. My handbag drawer needs a going over. Thanks for giving us your time Diane, even when you’re dealing with your own tough time.
Thank you for your time for us Diane. As always a ray of sunshine. So glad that you are taking care of yourself and encouraging us to do the same. Back from Montreal and to a lovely tidy and CLEAN house rah rah rah hubby!! Gentle hugs to you. Got all my pills (4 weeks) organized while listening to you ❤.
