Oh my goodness. Time flies. I remember that sweet little face being so quiet and cute and giggling when Shay would tickle him. Great kid!! Congrats Gavin.

Y’all remember when Gavin came home from school, Shay was sitting in his office, Gav walks in talkin about girls and says “why am I so handsome?”. He was so little and precious. And now he’s a whole man. My heart is not ready. From being so excited to put the van seats down flat, to dance battles, to singing for the first time on a livestream, to a full on highschool graduate. I also can’t ever not laugh from how sweet it was when he accidentally hit Colette in the face with a frisbee and sobbed because he hurt his mama. Gavin Butler, may you always be that kind, gentle, and loving soul. Such a good kid. Now a man. Congratulations. 🥹♥️

Great to see Emmi is still her beautiful, funny, crazy self. I loved her personality as a little kid and now it's great to see she's kept so much of that. Helps when they have such loving parents!

There’s something so comforting about coming back to these vlogs every now and then and just smiling ear to ear looking at how big the kids are now.

Just growing up watching you guys shows me what true love looks like. True love with your kids. True love with your spouse. True love with your family. Like seriously, I know every single moment in your life isn’t filmed, but a lot of it is, and even those moments just capture the biggest and most loving parts of your life. And you really do show people HOW to love. So I just want to say thank you so so much for being one of the best role models of love.

you all have an unmatched energy and literally made me laugh out loud throughout this video but i also really enjoyed the thoughtful and inspirational messages that you all shared. sometimes we got so caught up in life that it feels good to hear these sort of reminders, so thank you for sharing

I watched you guys growing up, life is messy, complicated and hard at times. No ones life is perfect and no money can change that. That’s the truth for all of us. This vlog definitely made me tear up. I can't believe Gavin is a graduate! I've been watching you guys since I was 13 and in my last year of middle school. I quite literally grew up alongside your kids. You guys were my rock during the toughest years of my life, providing me with a sense of hope and light when it was needed the most. I watched the vlogs every day after school and was always excited to get the shaytards calendars each Christmas. Over a decade later, I'm now in my twenties, about to start my second degree, and am so grateful that you're starting up the vlogs again! Your family will always hold a special place in my heart. Thank you.

Emmi made a very good point, and I agree 100%: a lot of people will judge others, and it goes to show that they themselves are the ones that are the problem, and it's best to kick them to the curb. And as Shay and Colette pretty much said: let the past be the past and focus more on the present; focusing on what happened in the past can cause negativity, but staying positive can bring a lot of good out of it. Lastly, a big congrats to Gavin for finishing school!

Oh Shay! I’m sitting here crying. I started watching you guys when rocktard was born. Then, I remember going ALL the way back to your first vlog (29th bday). Now I’m 34 with a 6yo and a 2yo. I can relate so much! Time does go by fast. I never struggled with anxiety before and now all of a sudden adulthood hit me in the face. You are so right we have to live in the moment. I don’t want to autopilot through my babies’ childhood. Thank you for your vlogs. Thank you for starting to film again. You guys bring me joy. It’s crazy to see Gavin , Babytard and Princesstard all grownup now.

Gavin is such a freaking STUD! I always remember watching him as a young kid thinking dam, this little kid's got such a great head on his shoulders and so much maturity for his age. my goodness I feel like i'm living this with you. seeing all the throwback clips of the kids being so young and remembering watching those videos as soon as they were posted. I was in highschool watching the vlogs everyday. Now I am a grown adult living on my own in my career. Its crazy how long you've been apart of so many peoples lifes. In the last Christmas video you guys were wondering to each other if you were boring if you're not doing enough "cool stuff" to keep our interest, but honestly, for me, I just love to watch you interact, pick at each other, laugh, tell each other "I love you" and hug, and just the honest interaction of a happy, loving family. Things like the long ago One Take Sunday where Shay was dancing around with his shorts pulled up and singing the now famous "Sock Song". Throwing the kids around and hearing them giggle.. Or just sitting and talking to us, and telling us what is in your heart, often imparting pearls of wisdom. Most of us have been watching you all for years, and you feel like family to us. You are all so special, each one in your own way, and I am grateful to you for allowing me and all of us viewers a window into your lives. We love to watch you be YOU, no bells and whistles needed. I remember watching when you revealed the kids names, being so excited to find out because it felt even more like we were a part of your family. You truly have been family to me, through all the ups and downs, you guys have always been there. Even when you took a break from vlogs, I would go back and watch the old ones. "The secrets to life are hidden behind the word 'cliche:'" my favorite quote since I was like 12 when I started watching you guys (and my Senior yearbook quote). We tend to reject things that we've heard a million times (We've all tuned our moms out when she tells us to clean our room or do our homework for the billionth time), but the reason cliches are cliches is because they're worth telling (and hearing) over and over again, worth passing on to our children (or students, in my case). By the time we've reached Gavin's age, we've already learned all of life's most important lessons. We know how to solve our problems. We know the answers. They're often right in front of our faces. It's okay if they're simple. We need to learn to embrace life's simplicity if we ever want to be able to choose happiness. Love you guys always. Thanks for being the best teachers.
