I was 66 when I met the best friend who became my lover. That was 5 years ago. I'm Irish, and he's native American. It has been the best years of our respective lives. I was 22 when I got together with my 57 year old boyfriend. We met at the bar and he was in a rough spot. He was living at my house for a few months and we would do everything together. It was lots of fun, going to clubs, dancing, movies, restaurants, out of town trips and fun in the bed was incredible. It broke my heart when he decided to end it because of our age. I’m 61 and have lived a straight life for 53 of those years. I am bi but truly have realized that if my rural Midwest upbringing and societal norms were more accepting of being gay, I probably would not have married a woman but married a man. I definitely like younger men and very much appreciate more mature younger men to spend time with. For me now I feel trapped in between my current/past life being straight married with adult children and the next life being gay and in a relationship with a younger man. I’m not disappointed ☹️ of where I am now but knowing what I know now my life would be a lot different today.

honestly, I'm so happy for these couples. I understand that some gays are into older than them because some aren't for hookup culture in this generation, and it's kinda difficult to find for a serious monogamous relationship to settle down, spend their life together, it's just rare nowadays. as someone who is 26 and hasn't been in any relationship, it's a dream to find someone who is a traditional or old school when it comes to love and dating, though it's not everyone's cup of tea but I do understand. that's why I just focus on building my career and hoping that someone will come one day, without forcing myself.

I am glad Aaron is happy. He told me I was too young for him. 😅😂 He is a genuine nice guy and we never had sex either. So that is a genuine compliment. Sad that in Dublin is devoid of genuine prospects for relationships. Ireland just doesn’t have the maturity yet due to Catholic control since the divorce from the UK.
