Pastor Sasa Gunjevic has finally been removed as a pastor from the SDA church after coming out as gay in the year 2023. Watch video for more detail. #sda #sdanews
Strongly believe desciplinary action should be applied both as an employee as well as a member. To be an open practising LGBT ++ violates the bible and the teaching of the church. LORD PLEASE HAVE MERCY ON US.
Good that this pastor was removed from the pulpit but the job is only half done. Since he is in agreement with this sinful lifestyle he should also be removed from the church, They remove people from the church who preach the truth and make allowance for those who openly practice sin. Something is wrong with this picture.
THEY CAN REMOVE HIM AS A PASTOR AND BE ERASED BUT THEY CAN NOT KICK HIM OUT THE CHURCH. HE SHOULD ALSO LOSE MEMBRACY AND SHOULD HAVE TO BE REBATIZED IF CHANGES HIS WAYS.
Can your Union’s leaders remove you from the Church? Do you understand how this Church works? It must be the members of the local church he belongs to that need to deal with his membership status. No other body in the Church has the authority to do anything.
I agree about he has to be removed from ministry as he needs to be an example, but why couldn’t he still be a member of the church? Jesus came for the sick one, not for the healthy one! He gave His life for his sins, your sins, my sins. He for sure needs God in his life and hopefully can turn away from this lifestyle, to reject a sinner is not Christian into my eyes. I may hope every SDA church would welcome us, no matter what our sins are 🙏🏻
@@arnaudsalembier6333 The church is for sinners who want a change their lives and strive to be sin free. This pastor does not belong in the church because he blatantly upholds his sins and doesn't want to change. He remains in sin and promotes it.He can be accepted back into the church only if he confesses his sins and wants a change. You can still pray for him.
I have a question : is this pastor or I should say former pastor practicing gay lifestyle or does he have only the tendency to be sexually attracted by men ? I mean each one of us as human beings have tendencies to act sinfully without openly practising those sins such as adultery, theft, murder or another sin. My other question is does this former pastor have a family ? Is he married (to a woman of course ) ? Thank you !
Because of compromise again... afraid of the repercussions from the State. That's a clear indication of what is to come when persecution is rampant. How many will stand?
Adultery! Well! Why are pastors disciplined for adultery. We need to stop rationalizing. Sin is sin. If we are afraid to stand now, how shall we stand later?
U clearly don't know Bible, so any normal sin and blasphemy is the same level of sin ? Go and read your Bible and gain some knowledge and while you're at it ask the holy spirit for understanding.
And should the members should feel very grateful and fortunate and justified that he was removed as a pastor. So we should not be too impertinent as to demand that his membership also be revoked (in keeping with the scriptures). And the loud cry of our leaders are absent
The challenge for the church is the legal environment the church is operating under in the West. There are employment laws that have to be adhered to, one of which is not to discriminate on basis of sexual orientation. How can the church operate under such frameworks? Fortunately, in this case, the pastor himself agreed to step down. The church had no power, whatsoever, to terminate his contract otherwise. Maybe the time has come to make a stand as a church and suffer whatever consequences the world governments would throw our way.
The church has the right to remove person of this nature from the church. Because it's a clear violation of God's requirements. The state has no power over the word of God We should obey God rather than men. Acts 5:29
He was not fired ! The president praises him as being too honest . So contradicting the Bible is a higher level of honesty . Now everyone will know you cannot be fired .
@@xaviemax7841 his convictions are calling God a liar as he supports practices that God says is sinful . How is the President of the conference praising those actions ? If he stole and beat his members would it be ok to praise him for standing by his convictions? This is a travesty !
@@darrenharriott2120 Romans 1. The president is a travesty. What he is saying is that Sasa should have kept quiet. Sasa'a honesty, coming out to the congregation is what forced him to take action. He may have given Sasa a hefty reward to avoid being sued. its paying Sasa to remain in sin because according to the president and his partner in crime, the pope, God loves everyone, and God does not mind.
@@xaviemax7841 That's not it because nobody caught this pastor in the act. This pastor came out to his congregation on his own. There are honest people who are honestly wrong. In this case the pastor has committed an abomination, but believes that the church will love him and respect his choice so that he could keep on preaching from the SDA pulpit. The president is playing both sides, he refuses to rightly divide the words of truth. Romans 1...
The response of the church has revealed its hypocrisy and, I fear, has done more harm than good. The church has not only delayed dealing with a matter that has undoubtedly lead many souls astray but has so halfheartedly and obviously unwillingly corrected an error grievous in the sight of GOD that it stands as an endorsement rather than a rebuke. The church has demonstrated that it holds in higher regard the opinions of men rather than the fear of the Living GOD. "The church is fallen, the beautiful church and her shame is her boast and pride."
I think it might have been mutual because in places of work if there are problems leading to someone to be fired, they usually meet with the person and advise them to willingly resign or else they’ll be fired. I think he decided to resign and save face rather than risking being fired. I stand corrected though
I agree with You my brother The bible is very clear.they had taken a good decision on this matter.im an SDA myself and I would not like this to be happen again.yes we will pray for him and ask the Lord to inter vere and help him..Gid bless You brother Lawrence
Yes, that pastor needed to be removed from the pastoral position, BUT WE NEED to pray that he will repent from that sin and still love him as a brother. Jesus died for him too!! God is merciful to forgive those who turn away FROM SIN!!
The letter cant come out concerning citing the LGBTQ state of the pastor because the ones behind it are afraid to be criticized by LGBTQ community. If the Church can massage the truth then its a shame..The letter was supposed to cite some scriptures as a reference point for the termination of his employment so as to send a message to each one, thus it can't repeat itself.. Hallelujah
I pray for this pastor that he will allow God to bring the nessary change that is needed in his life... We love him as a person but we hate the sin we continue to plead on his behalf for transformarion.
Leaders over this situation are cowards, what about his membership. If leaders will not remove him than they are partakers with him in his sin and will be judged accordingly.
No it is wrong! Institutions that continue with it must be dealt with. We as Adventist must make our voices clear on the side of truth, on the side of life.
So...what exactly are they saying. Was his employment terminated because of his homosexuality or because of his honesty? Would it have been ok he carried on indulged his tendencies as long as he kept his mouth shut?
that is FALSE. He was NOT REMOVED. The German Union insisted on stating that is was a MUTUAL AGREEMENT for the ending of employment. So is was not fired!!!! but he QUIT
It's easy to say to follow jesus, but you have no idea at all what jesus followed. Seventh days adventist church follow exactly what jesus followed. Seventh day adventist church is not corrupt, but the human always. It is clear that god destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah because of this high level of sin.
😂 no, he won't don't give the devil power. Also, be self-aware. What do I mean? We are seeing the unions church and state before our eyes in frustration against the very thought you had. They will ultimately deny God by cleaving to the power they can grasp in their own hand. Trust in God is the only way to be saved. ❤❤. So I say no, he won't because this is my hope and i know god can prevail, but if he does and succeeds we must realise that the plan God has must be clear in our mind not concerning sexuality but concerning the split in our church in supporting the church state Union.
The court will consider this from the standpoint of a BUSINESS CORPORATION firing one of its employees, not as a church terminating a leader. The SDA church is a registered corporation, isn't it?
@livingwaterbiblestudy8021 are you saying the legal system is bigger than God? Are you vulnerable to joining the wrong side of the divide? Be read as the angels prepare to gather us.
Dear Bro Lawrence, I love the informative work you are doing, but I'm finding lately that your tone is becoming loud and forceful -- so unlike your usual self -- to the point where I feel I'm being preached at. Please tone down a bit and let the truth stand on itself. God bless.
I’m pretty sure, brother Lawrence is not forcing you to listen to his message. It is currently events that he is delivering as well as references biblical truth. So using the words, loud and forced is extreme. You feel like you’re being preached to then the message was needed to be heard.
My understanding and reason for being a 7th Day Adventist is because they are the only true Protestants, i.e. sola scriptura. The bible and the bible alone. So if you want to live contrary to the Word of God, why be a 7th Day Adventist. Go to some other church that sides with your lifestyle.
