Dogs give you 100% for a very short period of time. Dealing with a sick 13 year old Lab right now and it just breaks my heart. Better to have loved and lost than to not love at all.

My dog was born exactly a month before Goose. Sadly, cancer got her and we had to put her down 12/29/2020. Still breaks my heart. Sorry for your loss.

The best things to do at Opryland is to go off season. Stay off site but visit the attractions there. Check out downtown (Music Row, Tootsies where a lot of hits were written, The Bluebird Cafe .same with the songs), The Ryman which is the original Grand Ole Opry. The Country Music Museum, Gibson Guitar Factory, Joe Bonamassa Nerdville guitar and amp collection, and check music venues. There are a lot.

Got to go there when my wife had a Business Convention there at the Resort! such a cool place. It was just before Christmas in October so the crowds were a lot less than what you are seeing (saw). Her company paid for everything so it was great!! Cool Old Riverboat Cruise too nearby.

Stayed there several times over the last 30 years. Love the place. Fun fact, it cost over a million dollars a month to air-condition the atriums during the summer.
