I've always used Tama foot gear. If you have big feet like I do ( 13 ), there's no other pedal that feels as natural. And the lever-glide hi-hat is the greatest hat upgrade since the DW drop clutch.
Fantastic review! Do you prefer the Speed Cobra hi hats vs. the Lever Glide hi hats? Also, how do you feel about the Speed Cobra double bass pedal? Thank you!
I do like the Speed Cobra Hi Hat Stand better because of the long footboard for heel splashes. The S.C. has the lever glide system on it so other than the footboard they are the same thing. I think the S.C. Bass pedal is amazing. However I haven't used the double version so I can't comment on how smooth the slave side is. That being said, whenever you try out a bass pedal in the store, always set it up to your specifications. You can never get a real idea of the best pedal for you if it's not set up how you like. You can make the same pedal feel many different ways and everybody likes different things.
