This is my first attempt of making a washer and dryer video so I know it's not the best video but I'll redo this at a later time with a better camera, tripod, and no interruptions hopefully. But there's currently no other videos of both of these machines on RU-vid. Anyways, this is my cousin's set up at their cabin. According to my cousin, they bought the place in 2013 and it already came with the set. But they are not the original owners. The place was built in late 2005. I'm not sure if the set was bought either new old stock, refurbished, or used but I do know that the set is from 2002. I found out from the folks over on automaticwasher.org that took a closer look at the serial numbers. I seriously doubt these machines have ever been tuned up or fixed before during it's stay at the cabin, it makes more sense as this cabin is technically a vacation property so it doesn't get used a whole lot. I first came to this place in 2020 and have only used these a few times including this trip. Results have overall been really impressive! Well built machines and they seem pretty reliable, that would also explain why these never seem to have a repair done before. Cleans great, rinses well, spins nicely, dries awesome, and they're not very loud. I'm certain this was one of the basic models sold back in the day because it doesn't have the extra rinse option. As you can see here this washer was a bit overloaded because I was doing some queen sized bedding and I mixed in the comforter with the sheets. But it still turns over the laundry as long as you add some extra wash time. These really do take me back to our last GE set we used to have, I don't remember what models they were but they were pretty similar to these. And to be honest, I think these are my favorite set from GE of all time! I mean these are just super fun to use. I like using them with liquid Tide Mountain Spring detergent and just regular Bounce sheets. I wish GE was still making washers and dryers like these, the newer ones I've seen on the market really don't compare. I will never buy one, at least brand new that is. I'd totally buy a used classic old school GE set anyday.
Hope you enjoyed!
