Join us as we take a tour of some of Appalachian West Virginia's most historic and scenic railroads, including the New Tygart Flyer, the Cass Scenic Railroad, and the Durbin Rocket, all under the operation of the Durbin and Greenbrier Valley Railroad (DGVR). We'll take a look at classic geared steam locomotives, including Shay and Heisler steam engines, and vintage F-unit diesels.
The entirety of this film was captured on a Canon EOS RP during the summer of 2022.

My Grandfather was recorded doing his Whistles by Semaphore Records - Ghosts of Cass. Grandaddy worked his way up to become a Log Train Engineer and then lwhen the mill shut down & the state purchased the town, he became a Tourist Train Engineer

The Heisler weights 110 tons, not 100.

I actually saw a lot of mixed information, some saying 90, some saying 100. In the end 100 seemed the most accurate because that's what DGVR displays on their website.
