I liked the fact that this movie focused on humanising the makeroverer. In movies like She’s All That, they make it seem like “people won’t accept you unless you’re attractive” and focus on making the nerdy characters more likeable. In this one it relates to the popular kid, if anything the ‘geek’ was the one with ulterior motives and had no interest in who he thought was an arrogant and self centred popular kid which was a pretty good twist on a basic story.
Despite what happened AFTER this movie was made, I really enjoyed this movie growing up. It was probably my favorite Disney Channel movie especially with the great chemistry between the main protagonists which was partially due to fact the actors were dating at first.
@@lauracerqueiramachado8979 Apparently a few years ago, it was revealed that the 2 main actors were dating for a really long time until Sarah Hyland has been abused and threatened by Matt Prokop. She later filed a restraining order against him and he stopped acting due to the controversy. Luckily it never ruined the movie for me.
Geek Charming is iconic. When I was younger I got the "special edition" where it had the movie and another dvd disk with 10 episodes of Shake It Up, and best friend charms
I remember a few months ago I watched Geek Charming expecting it to be like a regular cheesy Disney Original Movie but I was mindblowed from how good it was and I can proudly say it’s one of the best Disney Movies
saw this movie on disney channel with my mom who later passed away in 2013 we enjoyed it especially the flight of the navigator reference and they showed the classic movie metropolis too
this movie is one that over the years managed to remember every single detail about including the specific layout of her house minus sashas entire character idk how my mind locked her out
This is one of the best dcoms and underrated it’s sooo good, Dylan and Josh is the best Disney Chan couple ever, the fact that they both change for the better when they’re with together is so cute, when Dylan was with Josh she didn’t try to be different she acted how she use to be and I just love that, same thing with Dylan changing Josh to be less uptight overall amazing couple, I think this movie doesn’t get much recognition because of the real life scandal of the two main actors but that shouldn’t take away from the fact this is one of the best we’ll written dcom, a lot of people compared it quality to starstruck but honestly it’s better
Watched the film for the first time over 2 years ago and this is honestly one of the best. It's a nice, genuine spin on an overdone trop. They do a great job of humanizing the popular girl
The fact that nerd herder is literally just one letter away from "nerf herder" feels like they were going to reveal that Sarah Hyland's character actually liked nerd culture but kept it to herself. Also that thirsty girl from the film club just disappeared from the entire movie after that one scene. Girl put herself out there for nothing.
I love this movie, when you said about the bad vision it reminded me of my friend who was getting dressed for a musical number and she asked a friend and me to help her pin her dress, and both of us wear glasses. We couldn't pin it and she looked at us and said "I asked the two blind ones". She was just joking but is somewhat true.
Rebecca Rose, If thou should get the opportunity to expand your repertoire of Disney Channel Original Movies, You might find that the film "Cow Belles" might be worth your time.
Ur so gorgeous Rebecca and ahhhh geek charming is such a iconic dcom and hahaha the way I recognized Alison from pll and Vanessa Morgan also Sarah Hyland is such a legend this movie is so much better than radio rebel in every way ahahaha not the joke Rebecca
Can you please react to the Last Mimzy??? I literally can find no one who knows it around where I live nor any reactions to it on RU-vid, but it was my favorite movie as a kid. My brother even gave me the you replica of it when I was really little. It's kinda a bit underrated in my opinion.
Amazing reaction as usual! I’ve had a reaction request idea for a while. Would you consider reacting to the DCOM “Get A Clue”, it’s a “Who Done It” movie starring Lindsey Lohan and Brenda Song. Underrated Classic!
@@juyahmad Have you ever read the books? Sure, before I read the books I thought they were good too, but after I read the books I realized they were far of from the books and incorrect.
