@@TheMegerz yeah that's why i say think, bc i'm not 100% sure why they didn,t give him a younger actor, but i think it's just so he's recognizable to the audience, cuz they love to talk down to kids, so they think that they can't get from context clues that a random kid named joey prince on a magazine whould be the same as the older actor. i mean it's just a theory, i'm trying to make sense of the canon of this movie, otherwise the reality is very much illegal lmao

How did I never know about the age gap until now?!?! I always just assumed Selena was like at least 18 and Drew was like 20-21ish at the time of filming, so I had to look it up when you mentioned it after they kissed. She was 16 while he was 26???!!!!! @@oliviarogers3559 The consent between a 16 year old and a 26 year old is usually dubious though because of the huge difference in experience and brain development (a 16 year old doesn't have a fully developed brain, a 26 year old does). In this case, nothing worse happened as far as we know but the fact that the producers thought this was a good idea is concerning to say the least.

Amelia Randal was Selena Gomez's stunt double for some of the dance scenes. If you pause the movie during certain parts of the competition scene, it is very clear. i got that straight from imdb btw haha

Hey, Selena did have a dance double for this movie. Selena DID learn most of it, but some parts she couldn't do (the ballerina jumps and stuff in the end of the movie + the leg-up move with Drew)

A specific plot point in the movie always threw me off. And that’s how young she is in the video that her “sisters” played at the party to embarrass her..while Drew’s character is very obviously much older…so it’s not just that the actors are far in age… so are the actual characters…. Oh, and at the end you mention Starstruck. The fact that they never kissed in the movie was dumb in the context of the story and made it feel incomplete in the end. I understand the age gap, but if they cast those 2 actors, they should give a full performance regardless.

Of the 12 Cinderella Story movies, I think Lucy Hale and Dakota Johnson are my favorites. Oh, I kinda like Jesse Buckley too. The movie she's in, Wild Rose, is also another Cinderella Story movie. I believe Dakota Johnson is in The High Note, and Lucy Hale is in Once Upon A Song. Maybe I mixed up some of those, but those are the movies I like from the 12.

this movie gave us Tell Me Something I Don't Know, Jane Lynch in fabulous outfits, the ICONIQUÉ mirror dance, New Classic, She's Just That Girl and then also gave us pedo vibes because 26 year old Drew and 15 year old Selena were making out damn. Also if anyone happens to watch The Flash, Tammy aka Mary's bff is in the show's season 5 playing Iris and Barry's daughter while being 4 years older than the actress who plays her mom in the show and being 5 years younger than the actor who plays her dad so proof of black don't crack right there

Ok but he doesn't look as old as Ian Harding in PLL. Aria and his relationship just looked illegal. Even though in real life they are similar ages, Ian looks so much older than Lucy that seeing them kiss makes me feel weird.
