This song came on a video tape of a subscription service that the bar had I worked as a DJ at. Sometimes as a joke, when the manager asked me to play country in a Top 40 club, I would play this song. Oh... and "The Rodeo Song" 🤣
@@michaelone9475 We went dancing & she found out that I do best just holding onto a pretty woman & swaying in place. Anything else & I've been known to step on toes.
Completely forgot about the entire existence of this song until a few days ago when I was helping my mom clean her house, and found this CASSINGLE. Then a flood of flashbacks came to me of us jamming out to this in our '78 cutlas supreme when I was 8 years old in '92. I have now watched this video 4 times in a row in amazement. Thank you.
This song might still have some life left - to teach the current generation of mainstream country music a valuable lesson as to why it should never be tampered using mixers and scratchers.
I found a tape in my great grandmothers house because we were going through her stuff after she died, and it doesnt work and im glad I thought ti search it😂 I remember her playing this and dancing to it
This was a long-awaited comeback for them. Check out a 1968 single they had that made the top-50 Country Singles chart called "Chubby (Please Take Your Love to Town)", credited to The Geezinslaw Brothers. It's a hilarious parody of "Ruby, Don't Take Your Love to Town" by Kenny Rogers & The First Edition.
