GeForce GTX 1070 TI - Launch Review - 34 Benchmarks

Great presentation as usual, and with pricing the way it is right now in Australia, the 1070TI makes no sense, at least to someone that is close to pulling the trigger on a 1080 anyway. You've got me thinking it might be worth saving up the extra for the 1080TI for the longer haul. I swear I never miss a single sentence when watching your videos, they are that comprehensive. Thanks for the detailed and informative review as always. I ended up buying a MSI Gaming X GTX 1080 a few months back when the prices were cheaper after price drop to around 500 bucks. (No regrets and perfect timing)

after watching your videos since the 10 series came out... upgraded to a gtx 1060 from a 960, now just bought a 1080ti because i want that good old 4k.. Good videos that taught me a lot more about computers.

Thanks to your review sir. I just got a 1070ti Titanium edition of the MSI variant in silver. I was a bit picky because on Newegg there is always 1 or 2 buyers that give bad reviews. Plus it was on sale for 409.00 plus tax. I got it for my X-mas gift as my main computer has a Amp Extreme 1080 gpu, while my Ryzen 1700x humble rig cube pc will now have the 1070ti. Plus I mostly game at 1080p and soon will play at 1440p and probably at 4k mid or high with this new gpu. Have to wait for them to process. I unsubscribed and re-subscribed just to give you my support again :3 . You are truly a Gem sir :)

Nice video With futureproofing in mind If i buy 1070 to play at 1080p 60hz... will it cause tearing because it has more power or will turning on vsync help...... also fastsync vs vsync vs fpscap ... Any help will be appericiated

I was waiting for an RX 490 (Fiji die shrink or Vega) after June of last year when they officially announced the RX 480 at Computex 2016. 3 months passed with nothing announced by August and no press events scheduled on AMD's official calendar for the rest of the year. Then rumors started about possibly Q2 2017 at which point I gave up and said I'm not waiting another 6 months or more for Vega and I ordered myself a GTX 1070. Nearly a year later and we finally get Vega and then there are rebate shenanigans; here we are now Nov. 2017 with the GTX 1070Ti. For me, not having to wait was huge and I think the trade off was fair I just would have preferred AMD had something to compete with the 1070's price/performance and performance/watt much sooner to stick with AMD. I'm really surprised they didn't have a Fiji die shrink to 16nm FinFET, my only assumption is that maybe they couldn't get cost down low enough even with a die shrink to compete with the 1070 and still have it be profitable. My next card is more than likely going to be AMD again however so I can get an Ultrawide FreeSync monitor unless Nvidia abandons Gsync and switches Adaptive sync to lower cost. I refuse to pay the premium on a Gsync display, I'd rather spend that money on a more powerful graphics card the next time around assuming AMD has one that isn't a year late...

Hey, do you find any difference in shrouds/coolers for GPUs, mainly 1070ti? Personally, I'm between the EVGA FTW2, the ROG Strix and the EVGA hyrdo hybrid cooler versions (all 1070ti, or 1080 if for sale). Aesthetics are not as important as the speed.

Great video, Techdeals. Nobody does those 34 (!!!) benchmarks like you do. Excellent comparison. But I do have 1 remark: During the segment of the benchmarks results, can you not put which card is what colour at the bottom of the screen? If I pause the video to look at the results, the playbar goes over the cards and I can barely read which version it is. :(

Sir will the GTX 1080 ti or 1080 ti mini will it run in i7 3rd generation CPU and motherboard with 32 GB RAM. With CX 750 psu. Will system boot to windows 7 screen or just a black screen. Iam at present using gt 730 GPU.

Just ordered a 1070Ti just now. In the UK, the price was about the same for the factory OC cards and the cheapest cards were about £40 GBP cheaper. I coulda gotten a 1080, but my budget wouldn't allow for it. Really looking forward to it :)

Bro, I got an msi 1070 ti titanium and it was running hot asf. Like, 86°C in bo4. I opened the card and saw that the thermal paste was not even spread in the middle... I changed it to thermal grizzly kryonaut and dropped temps 22°C

@Tech Deals, for me and a lot of other competitive FPS players, we actually play under 1080p. Sometimes even at 720p. The reasoning being is it is easier to aim and control recoil at 720p than 1080p. Many players I know on Eplison and Symthic Gaming, at least infy players, play at 720p. These are competitive Battlefield players mostly.

I have a 1070 now that's a year old but does around 50-60 fps in new games on my 1440 ultrawide monitor and that's fine for me. I'd like to be able to upgrade to 4k to play on my TV, but I don't want to get a 1080ti, I think I'm going to wait till the next generation comes out.
