I hope you start feeling better Steve. Even though I will watch all the 1070ti vids today I plan to watch yours when you drop it later. A launch isnt complete without the Benchmark King.

Just a word of advice warm tea and honey helps soothe the throat. It will help your throat hurt less. Mustard works too but doesn't taste as good.

Hey mate thanks for your video, sorry my english is little bad as i learned it from school, but i like your channel and already subscribed :D :D That video is so amazing, maybe i will buy GTX 1070 ti in the next period after a little price drop, but i have just 1 question and i hope for help: As i just got my 1st gaming PC, i didn't know much stuff about overclocking, here i need to ask you: Does overclocking the GPU is different from the CPU ? so just 1 step only to get 1070 ti overclocked ?? What about cooling needs? my PC already has 2 front intakes from 3 installed and 1 rear exhaust, but it can support more 2 exhaust in the top and 1 intake front down the case but that maybe useless, anyways what about cooling needs to keep my GPU protected from over-heating ?? Do i need to install the 2 tops ?? HINT: my case is Cooler Master MB511, 2 front intakes are cougar turbine 120mm cooling fan Thanks in advance.

I have noticed that this 1070ti has thermal issues and need to claim the warranty or rma it. Is that the case? Is it worth buying used 1070ti now at $230 ?

Nice video With futureproofing in mind If i buy 1070 to play at 1080p 60hz... will it cause tearing because it has more power or will turning on vsync help...... also fastsync vs vsync vs fpscap ... Any help will be appericiated

Is it worth upgrading from a 1070? or not? personally i dont think so but im open to opinions

thanks for the nice work steve - over at CB they couldnt hold back benching almost only 2011 gameworks titles, making the 1070ti winning easily over vega.

Appreaciate the effort! Could you just give me some info of your Vega 56 OC settings? Which clocks, voltages, powerlimit did you set. This would help with the comparison. There are to many different ways you can "oc" a vega 56, which performs differently.

As I previously mentioned, I ran 3DMark Time Spy using my MSI GTX 980 Ti Lightning LE & the graphics score was 6232. I know, nothing earth shattering these days, however, it continues to do well in games. If I purchase a 4K screen I will wait on a more powerful card than the GTX 1080 Ti. - I hope you get well soon.

Coming back to this video, to me the GTX 1070 ti was the true champion of the 1000 series. Performance on par with GTX 1080, pretty cheap compared to the bigger brother. I still use mine in 2024(same MSI model) .

I plan on reaching 75 fps on ultra wide 1080p on games like cod gta V and fortnite on at least high. I will be using 16gb of ram and Ryzen 5 2600x, but I'm wondering if I should get a 1060 6gb or 1070 ti for 210$ more?

What ive noticed is the card chokes at 4k until overclocked, but no one test memory oc independently. Once you get some sleep and feel better, maybe check out if the card is getting choked memory bandwidth wise at 4k. Specifically in gamers nexus testing I saw that the stock card was near the 1070 in 4k games, while the oc one was near the 1080 like it should be. Since the only thing the ti shares with the non ti is memory configuration, I would love to see how the lack of G5X affects the card.

I could be mistaken here, but doesn't GPU boost 3.0 negate the lack of factory overclocking anyway? It's not like most cards boost only up to the specified speed to begin with.

What core clock and memory clock speed did u have on msi afterburner without stuttering or crashing?

Hey, Steve, if you are looking for new ideas for videos I have one for you. Perhaps you could do a video on how much games have improved at using multiple threads since like 2012. Take 4-5 games that were considered well optimized and used modern game engines for the time from 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2017, and see how core utilization changes on with different games on something like a Ryzen 7.

I live in the Philippines. The price of the 1070Ti is around $647 which is about the same price as most 1080s and Vega 56. The Galax 1080 EXOC Sniper is way cheaper at $540

Guys I need your advice. I'm thinking of buying 1070 ti and using it overclocked by 10 %. My question is, how risky will it be? I mean, by all means Overclocking is dangerous business. As far as I know, there will be possibility my graphic card breaks down all of the sudden because of overclocking. right? I need your opinion gentlemen.

Around here, some GTX 1080s are cheaper than some of the GTX 1070 Tis, so... it's really strange. Anyway, great video as always.

Got 1070ti for 20€ more than 1070s on sale and nearly 100€ less than 1080s on sale. Pretty happy with it. Strix "binned" model.
