Just found your channel today and have been binge watching a lot of your videos. I love supporting small channels like you and myself, definitely subbed to you!
I once had a Asus 560 Ti, which is the reason I clicked in, the performance jump from GTS 450 was huge, but for god's sake, that thing runs HOT. Then after I got a 750 Ti, performance decreased a little, and I lost the capability to fry eggs on my rig.
I found this card on offerup today new in box (for some reason they never used it) for $50 Obviously i had to do some research and this video helped a lot! Thanks so much, subscribed! :)
@@lancebermejo3319 lol you said that, i still daily 1060 with a 4K monitor. Still works perfectly without FSR on medium to high settings even with Horizon 5.
I recently bought a 560 Ti model (for 30 bucks) and it was the Zotac amp edition with that really cool shroud on it. I thought I was getting the limited edition one with the extra cores because all the online reading said only that model came with that shroud and the box came with the free game. (which the seller still had the box and it had the free game ad on the box!) Sadly...it's just the normal 560 Ti but with the amp shroud on it... Hopes were dashed, but still a decent deal for 30 bucks!
DanielC it definitely didn't "run" everything. 27 or 30 fps with drops to 17 fps is not a great experience. It's doable, but definitely not nice. So if you really have no other choice, it's nice to know that you'll be able to sort of experience the game, but I would definitely encourage people to get a new card and experience games in all their glory.
Marko Max You make wrong assumptions. Why anyone would play at sub 30 fps is a real question to me. At that point, you're barely getting the minimum experience. Playing any modern game at such low settings is a substandard experience.
Marko Max I get the feeling you are projecting your own problems onto me. Would something "run" the game even at 1 fps? For a lot of people, running at sub 30 fps is not "running a game". It's technically capable of doing it, but realistically, who is going to have a good time at those framerates?
Marko Max okay. Have it your way. Personally, I don't want to play games at console like framerates. Why would I play at 30, when I can play at 144fps with a newer card.
I'm not sure if my benchmarking was correct but with fraps I ran multiple test to see what my avg. fps was. On Overwatch the results always came back at 100-102 fps on high with default settings. This is Asus 1gb variant overclocked to 980mhz . I also own a gtx 1050 2gb and after similar tests my avg. was just under 100 fps. I am conflicted as I'm receiving my new ryzen 5 1600 build parts this week. I don't know if I should keep this card and sell the 1050 and save up for a better card as prices are over inflated right now. Also what program do you use to test average fps in games?
JERY Frias Make sure you're using the high preset with 100% resolution scale. Could be why the numbers are off. I use Fraps along with Frafs to measure average frame rate and frame times. Is Overwatch the only game you play? 1050 isn't a huge upgrade, except the Additional vram.
This is such a great card! I was running SLI until one card went out 6 months ago. With SLi, ESO, WOW, SWtOR, War Thunder and Wicher 3, were all set at maxed graphics settings. Hopefully, I can figure out what the issues are and able to fix it myself.
Late but hey! Nice vid.btw do you think a 4 gb ram with a intel i3 7th generation (7100) and with a gtx 560 and 720p will do in about 150 fps in cs go overwatch and so?
For anyone looking into these cards I'd suggest buying a GTX470 instead. They perform about the same as the 560 and cost less. The main reason though is the 560 in particular seems to fail pretty often. You can look on eBay and find an abnormal amount of GTX560's that don't work.
What were the overclocking settings and setup that gave such an impressive results? Mine overclocking on close to automatic gpu shutdown settings under high load, gave max. 2-3 fps gaine. (560Ti 1GB)
F2F, hope you can find a HD6950 2 GB to compare it to this 560Ti 2Gb after all these years in newer games. I don't believe the HD6950 supports any DX12, but that shouldn't matter much.
Depends... I'd probably reach for a GTX 1050 if you can for not much more. SLI is finicky, and frame times can be a mess, though that can be semi-fixed with capping your frames. Anyway, not every game supports SLI, and Fermi based GPUs are not seeing much optimization these days. So, I'd still recommend a single GTX 1050 if it's not much more.
Unfortunately, Modern ubisoft games like AC Origins and Far Cry 5 won’t run well on this card. RandomGaminginHD tested this card out with AC Origins, even with 720p lowest settings, it only got 20 fps with severe stutters. RIP 560 Ti. 2011-2017.
F2F Tech You tested it? Never knew it would be playable, because RandomGaminginHD tested AC origins on the same card, it only got 20 fps on lowest settings. But the main thing that killed this card is end of Fermi support, which I forgot to mention.
JuliusColes Reuploads I haven’t tested ACO, just Far Cry 5. Also, just because NVIDIA dropped driver support, it doesn’t mean it’s totally dead. I doubt there has been much done in the way of performance improvements for a long time. I’ll probably look into it in the future.
There should be some other videos on RU-vid with that model. Those games will certainly work, you just have to be realistic with the resolution and settings
Idk if ur a channel that replies.. but what was ur overclock? Mine kept randomly clock locking and it would not run zoo tycoon and freaking streamlabs obs lmao
i have same this card but i always get black screen with games or without games i'm tired of this gpu and my pc and i am looking for help here to kill this black screen and back to play on my pc as soon as possible guys What driver u are using on this video and do i have to put Thermal paste on my gpu because it's very old is that can be help ?
I have that same video card and in idle I round in 36 - 45 ° and in game as fortnite in I get up to 87 ° max and in furkmark to 96 ° max, I have already done maintenance, my chassis is very ventilated not me It has turned off due to overheating but still 87 ° is NOT normal, I touched the heatsink and it really burns my hand, what can it be? Help !!!
I have this same card but its the 448 cudacore version, and when i put a load on it it just crashes the pc, wile idle or just streeming it dosnt crash, have you ever had this prob?
F2F Tech that works too. Gpu is old it could just need a little care but the 448 edition is pretty close to a 570 and limited edition. Shame to see one die
Grayson Metzbower Yeah I had an MSI one years ago die on me. They replaced it with a gtx 570. To be honest I wanted the 448 back as it’s a much cooler card.
I have a 6950 that I haven’t tested fully yet. The 6970 was a faster card back in the day, but I don’t know how they stack up today. I should be testing it in January.
David Castellanos It’s actually a decent amount. I’ve tried different methods on my GTX 470 and got nearly the same result. Spreading paste over the entire IHS, then using the glob method like this 😉
