I do gel- X nails on myself, and if you get the beetles nails it comes with a sensor mini light so you dont have to press a button and it turs off as soon as you take your finger out!

Hi Evie, can you do a review on which brand of gel on Amazon is the thickest? I find it hard to find a thick nail glue/gel to do my nails separately sold aside from the nail kits. Love you ❤

Also I have flat nails so if I don’t apply enough it looks like it’s lifted lol but I don’t like since I have flatter nail beds that if I have to thick under you can tell or the tip seems to high in a way. Is it HEMA free? Or perhaps have HEMA free in their line?

I find the gooseneck uv/led lamp works way better than those where you have to put your nail underneath the light for gel x. A whole game changer!

If you ever add nail tips to your product line, PLEASE include larger sizes. Size 0 is just barely fits my middle finger, and I have NEVER found a tip that is big enough for my thumbs. I am cis female but I bet LOTS of trans women would love tips in larger sizes too. You could even offer the tips in single size packages, that way neither you nor the customer would have to waste half the package on sizes you'll never use. I would totally buy a package with size 000, 00, and each of my other fingers separately. I just can't believe nobody else does this, but I bet you could definitely corner the market.

I got some wide ass Flintstone fingers so finding nails that fit is a chore.

I have wide nails too and have always had issues with press ons. I’ve learned from your channel that I have to get the longer ones (I don’t really do long nails often) and I can jus cut them down to my desired length. I haven’t started doing my own nails yet, but I’ve been watching your channel for awhile and once I’m able to start, I’m getting everything I need! I loved this set btw!

I love how the gel holds tip in place!! But the size of tube is not enough

Hey Evie, quick tip, always etch the inside of tips unless it says or you can see pre etched. The same science/ logic about buffing the tops before you put gel polish on the top applies to the inside before you attach to your natural nail. Gel doesn’t like smooth surfaces so for the best and strongest adhesion always etch and or buff. For people who don’t have an efile you can use primer on the inside of tips to chemically etch them. Hope that helps!

Would u say this type of gel is better than the ones with brush applicators? It did look easier to deal with especially since you did not need to hold the nail down.

Another tip ladies and gents: For those who struggle with the glue, in most of these kits, they have a liquid "glue" gel to adhere the tips. I found a solid glue on Amazon and the grip is amazing! There are numerous brands of these on there so just look for solid nail glue. They will come in pots and not bottles or tubes. They also come in nail bed color or other base colors for French tip affects. Good luck y'all!

When you use the powder, use an orange wood stick to clean up the edges before you cure 😊

You can tell if it’s real soft gel when you pick up 2 or 3 at the same time, the soft gel ones squeak/stuck together and the plastic ones don’t at all!! You have to compare them to tell!

Hey!! Lovvvve your videos! Do you ever have problems with your gel and gel Polish not curing?? I have the modelones AND the makartt gel and polishes and mine almost never cure!! I have the modelones kit with the mini lamp AND the Amazon nail lights, so I’ve tried many different lights but my gel still doesn’t cure properly. I apply the gel thin, I follow all the steps same as everyone and it won’t cure. Helpppp!!

Hun if you put a bit of primer to the inside of the nail tip it won’t need the pre file or buffing it works magic 🎉

How much does the dehydrator/primer combo extend wear time? Without it I get about a week1⁄2 wear time before they decide to pop off/break one working on my car too aggressively. If I could possibly get three to four weeks, I'd likely invest in it.

I know this video is a few month old, but you make me giggle when you say your thumbs are wide. I need a 00 for my thumbs. I have the widest thumbs ever! recently I find that the BT ARTBOX nail in the almond shape fit me great. Others I have to literally press down so they will fit my thumbs. Makartt makes a good fitting nail for e as well. I do notice that almond or oval are much wider by the cuticle where I need them to be. As always you did a great job. You are extremely talented.

Heyy, I started to do my own gel tips at home too with the beetles gel polish set and I got contact dermititis. Do you know anything about that? Now I'm scared to use gel x cause I'm not sure why or how I even go it. I been using it for a couple months

Ok so I'm 12 i only do gel x. When i was doing my clients nails my sister came into the room and said " omg what are those spots! " I said " those are the gel particles" . The fact that to this day she still being those are the gel particles 😭.

Woow that brush works great at the first application. Have you tried the ombré without the clear acrylic and the brush to see how it preforms and if it does just as great as with the acrylic
