Gelnhausen Germany- A hidden gem

I was stationed there from 83-86. I used to sit on those benches on Sundays. The ones in front of the Rathaus to read and take in the sights of the upper market.

Stationed there for 2 yrs. I lived it there.

I LIVED THERE FOR TWO AND A HALF YEARS. TAUGHT SCHOOL FOR D O D. MET MY HUSBAND THERE.MAGICAL TOWN. LAST TIME I VISITED WAS IN 2019. VISITED AN OLD FRIEND,FRAU ROSS. BEAUTIFUL TOWN AND FULL OF HISTORY. I AM ACTUALLY WEEPING RIGHT NOW JANE DONNELLY STOBER.

Lived here for four years in the early sixties. Was told by a local it had the oldest cobblestone streets in Germany. Dating back to 1050 AD

hmm, I used to live thee for 6 years in the 80s, but you're there not far from where I used to live, You missed the centre of the town that's at the bottom where all the shops are etc. That's chiefly a residential area there where you took your video. Having said that since the US army left the town has gone to the pits, so it might just be as well that you didn't go to the town, the town is now really run down. Sad really, it used to be beautiful and I loved it. Oh well... just saw this which shows a bit of the town /watch?v=WFmmU8J09Y8
